Lil odd but I wear my Fitbit on my ankle that way the step count is more accurate,otherwise moving just your hand is also counted as a step.

That’s why I returned mine! It counted “steps” when I brushed my teeth 😡 and didn’t count any when I walked around Costco for an hour 😳 When I returned it the salesperson told me I could wear it on my ankle for better accuracy but I returned it anyway because I felt that the instructions should tell u that info 😜
