Not sure if this a new brand or just an obscure brand. Neither my husband or I have heard of this brand. He is in IT as a career and we both do some IT stuff on the side. I love my brother laser that goes on sale for $50ish all the time. It has saved me hundreds in coupons that always scan and so much cheaper to use toner than ink.

    • Anna

What’s the brother model, if you dont mind sharing?

From c|net: Pantum provides only a starter toner cartridge, good for about 700 pages, and Newegg sells full-size Pantum PB-210 cartridges for $39.99. I couldn’t find them anywhere else, so you’re pretty much stuck with that price — but it’s pretty competitive for a monochrome toner cartridge.

    • Just Me

I read a review stating newegg is the only reasonable price for the toner…

    • David

$39.99 is competitive for OEM toner but there’s not much reason to buy OEM unless your printer is so uncommon (like this one) that no quality generic alternative exists. I have a different monochrome laser printer and just had a 2-pack of cartridges delivered from Amazon today for ~$20.00

This isn’t a bad deal, but I would pass. For another $10-20 you can catch a name brand (Canon, HP, Brother, etc.) laser printer on sale. You’ll save more than that on your very first toner purchase by being able to buy a quality generic cartridge rather than being forced to buy the printer manufacturer’s own brand like with this one.

I just got a brother LAser printer for the first time. can you tell me how to get the toner for it that cheap bc at staples price ranges between 45-89 per cartridge I have the HL-L2320d or can you recommend a different one I use it solely to print shipping labels

        • sandy

You can buy the toner TN660 (compatible cartridge) on Ebay or Amazon for around $15
The drum is a DR630. Again look same places. There are combination packages sold as well for around $40 (1 drum & 1 toner)

  5. Julie

It’s show the replacement toner being on sale for $39.99

    @Kathy
Do you know the model # of your brother printer?

I have a canon and I feel like it drinks ink!

    • David

Carrie, is your printer a laser printer? There’s a night and day difference between a laser printer that uses toner and a printer that uses ink. Most all ink printers “drink” ink. Ink cartridges have an average yield in the hundreds – most between 150-500 prints depending on brand. Toner cartridges (especially monochrome!) have an average yield in the thousands (1200-4000 on average) – even the free starter cartridge that comes with the printer in this post has an estimated yield of 700.

Sorry off topic sorta, But anyone have an idea why my new wireless Canon would of stopped printed suddenly?? It spits out the paper but nothing on it …? Not sure why or what to do.

Really appreciate any sugg as I’m stuck running to library to print coupons now 🙁 TIA!!!!!

Or Feel free to email me w sugg @ jenifer47203 at yahoo dot com

Have you turned it off, unplugged it and waited about 60 seconds and then restarted it?

I have 2 older Brother printers (HL-2140 & HL2240) Love them! My newer one is a HL-5470DW, Awesome machine. Husbands office just bought the HLL2300D which was cheap at $85 Amazon however the drum is very difficult to find! One month backorder on Newegg for an OEM. Look at Slickdeals daily for printer deals (you can read about this one there). Before u buy – price out the toner & drums and check availability. I wouldn’t buy anything but a Brother ever again… My sisters Canon drinks ink also -always running to store for ink – a Brother toner cartridge I replace every 8-9 months for $15. HTH

      • normz

This is so true i love! Rother printers they Last forever even when you print alot of coupons like i do. My parents have cannon not only does it evaporate the ink its so expenssive to get 40 .

Since this is on the topic of printers, anyone have a good recommendation for a printer ? I’m a college student and it’s lot of ink to print coupons and school work. I already have the settings to print with as little ink as possible on mine.Wondering if anyone has a favorite printer with affordable ink or long lasting ink.

    • Layla

Cheapest would be laser. I don’t have one anymore but def last longer than ink

    • Michelle

My daughter emails her homework to herself and prints for free at student services building.

I have a brother laser printer (not wireless) black on white. I love it. Would like to find a cheap price for wireless one. I buy my toner (among other thing) from Meriline at a good price. Always been happy with them. Been using this printer for several years now.

  9. beipoo

I bought a wireless laser printer (brother brand) been using it for a few years works great. It use powder ink cartridges and we managed to find a local warehouse that sells the cartridges for $25 generic brand. It last just as long as the brother ones for $100 or more at other retailers.
