If you’re a frequent Target shopper, consider signing up for the Target REDcard! Target REDcard holders always score FREE shipping (no minimum!) on Target.com AND get an extra 5% off all purchases both in-store and online! And what I LOVE most is that you can get all of these great benefits without having to sign up for a Target credit card. Buy Buy Baby and Babies R Us also give you a great welcome packet and coupons. They were a blessing for us and our new baby!

    • apryl

Hi so buybuy baby sent me something but i have no idea if there is a location near me. Did they mail you a welcome packet or did u go into a location?

  2. Crystal@Atlanta

Target Registry Welcome packs were never available for my entire 9 months of pregnancy 🙁 but the coupons were AWESOME!!

I did this and got the nice little bag with samples. I am less than 4 weeks from my due date though and have not received my % off. I did get a little booklet, from Target, in the mail that had a coupon for a free $20 gift card when you brought in the coupon and a printout of your registry. 🙂

    • Lisa

My son is 5, and when I did the registry, coupon came by email on the delivery date. I was able to add/change the registry and use the coupon just fine for whichever items I got.

    • Ashley

Me either, I have been waiting for it. My due date is March 1st. My plan is to use it towards things I slowly start to find out we don’t have & need. Hopefully they come for us.

I had my twins in Sept and I got the % off coupon several weeks after I had them. I also got 15% coupons to give to friends. Now the great thing with the % off coupons, I was able to use mine online for items not on my registry! It was for the boys, but I didn’t think to put it on the registry.

    • devon

Did you booklet in store ?I did registry 3 years ago and thought I got gift card right then

  4. Maria

JUST had a baby and they didn’t have the welcome packs available at the time! Anyone know what the gift is??

    • jessica

The bag pictured above is the one I got 2 weeks ago, some people have posted on a baby app that I’m in that there target was still passing out last year’s bags that have all expired coupons lol, this year’s has a latch bottle, pacifier, wipes and a diaper in a really cute take along makeup sized bag, also small bottle of aquifer, sample of diaper pale bags, breast milk bags, some great target coupons. I have yet to receive a mailer that has info for $20 giftcard

i have a question. i have a baby shower to attend and they have a registry at target and babies r us… the items they have listed are way too expensive at those places. i can find same items for half price at other store….is it rude to buy from other place…or is there any ways around it…like how to cross off from their list without letting them know i bought it from some where else

    • Amber

      Kiran,
Babies r us and target will price match certain stores, including amazon as long as it’s not amazon marketplace. Check out their price match policies. 🙂

    • Bre

I don’t know if that helps but the babies R us in my area will take coupons from buybuy baby or bed Bath and beyond as a competitor matching. They can’t be used on furniture or anything but I very rarely purchased anything from babies R us without a 20% off coupon.

I think it’s totally fine. Actually great! I know I’d be thrilled to know someone saved money I f it’s the exact item. I mean, if it’s exactly (I think that’s key.) what they want and you get it cheaper why not? If they get more than one they can return to target or BRU easily. No questions asked.

      Awwwww…. Congrats!! 😃

Target was a great place to register for our baby needs last fall! We registered for a number of unconvential registry items that they carry! We use cornstarch instead of powder, baking soda and vinegar for cleaning without chemicals and for laundry stains, coconut oil for moisturizing, herbal teas for relaxation and coffee for a little caffeine when needed! We received the 15% off coupon mentioned in the post, but it also included 6 or 8 additional 15% off coupons to give to friends/family for remaining registry items good for 6 months after our event date!! Also, when printed out it included a couple target coupons for baby toiletries and diapers that friends were able to stack with manufacturer coupons for some sweet baby deals for us! Oh, AND a $1 off of a Starbucks handcrafted beverage coupon to be used at a Starbucks cafe within a Target store! Target was the only place we registered with for our second child!!

  8. Texas Gal

Can you do your registry online and still receive the welcome packets coupons and gifts or does it have to be in store at all of these places?

    • Ashley

Yes you can register online as well! Just did it 🙂

  9. lucky

I forgot to pick up my registry gift months ago and my son is now 4 months old. Lol can i still pick it up?

  10. Rebekkah

I had a horrible time with my Target registry. None of the stores in my area had the “Welcome gifts” the whole time I was pregnant. While trying to make my registry in the store the scanners were always broken and when I would to adjust it on my phone their mobile site was also constantly broken. I had numerous people tell me that they purchased things off my registry but they never showed up as purchased. I contacted customer service numerous time and each time they were completely unhelpful.

  11. Jessica

I got a free $20 gift card when I was pregnant with my 2 year old after I created her registry.

  12. Natalia

I registered the other day but they were out of the packets, so while I was at another location today I asked for it and they kindly gave one. It didn’t include the bottle, however, and the coupons expired last summer! Oh well, most were for things I wouldn’t use anyway.

  13. Amy

Off topic but was told i could not use cartwheel because it said team member obove my bar code that printed from target site with all the info on it. Is that right .

  14. April

I never received my 15% off coupon to complete my registry:(. I should probably check my spam. I also noticed in the bakery they offer a free smash cake on baby’s 1st bakery. I assume you probably have to buy a cake too. Their frosting is awesome:)

  15. Sabrina

It doesn’t matter when you create a baby registry right? You will still get this deal? I wanted to wait a couple of months before I register!

  16. Casey

I’m about to have my second girl in 2 years. Totally registering just for the coupons. Hopefully no one I know sees it and thinks I’m being rude!

    • Rae

I registered with my second! I needed a couple big items that I knew DH and I would be buying ourselves. I registered at BRU and when I did they were super nice and the lady helping me kept telling me to put a bunch of diapers on the registry because they would not be excluded from the %off that would come in the mail. I registered for other little things that would be nice to get but not a need and did so because there were always people asking what I needed. I would tell those who asked that I had aBRU registry with a few things on it or diapers are always welcome and baby clothes too(people love buying adorable baby clothes and jumped at the invitation to do so lol). This is my third pregnancy and I’m at 20wks now and no one but one sister and two of our friends know. I know already that the ladies at church will want too do some sort of baby shower or get together so again I’ll register for cute little items and things I’d like to get our little things I need because I know people will ask and I’ll register for the couple big items we need.

      A couple things I learned last pregnancy…
      – Check pregnancy magazines and brochures at your ob/midmakese office for coupons for starting registries. Last time I got a$10BRU gift card!
      – As this post is about a welcome packet with registry… Ask for them and don’t be shy!
      – register at multiple stores! Also register for the same item at the different stores because if that item is on sale when you go to use your %off what’s left on your registry then you can usually stack the savings, so long as the coupon doesn’t exclude sale items 🙂

Target fires 500 people in the Twin Cities and you people continue to shop with this corporation?

    • Ashley

While I feel for the people who were laid off, boycotting a business because they had to lay people off makes no sense. You think 500 people losing their jobs is bad? You should see how many people will lose their jobs if people stopped shopping there…..

  18. Harold

Yeah Sam, think logically. Why would you boycott a company just because of that reason?

  19. Rochel Mae Gonzales

Hi! I am expecting a bundle of joy and i am now 4 months pregnant. I love to receive gifts from TARGET, like baby freebies, dieapers, baby’s basic needs and some other stuff for my baby.
