Hi, this is slightly off topic but did anyone have trouble using their free 12 packs from MCR at CVS? I tried to use 4 yesterday and they said that coke and cvs corporate told the stores not to accept them cause they are fake… I got them mailed to me straight from coke and have used other ones in the past… anyone know if this is true or why they said that? My first two scanned fine but something came on the screen for the third… I looked and three of the four have the same numbers by the barcode, one is different. Thanks in advance!
I had the same issue yesterday at CVS. They said the same thing they were sent notification not to accept these coupons. I used 1 before at Walmart with no issues.
Yes I did. 2 of my coupons went through no problem. The other 2 wouldn’t. A manager had to come over to over ride it.
Did they get notification from corporate so that we wouldn’t score a smoking great deal?
Same here. Two coupons went through fine, but the other two wouldn’t scan. Tried to do a separate transaction with two 12 packs, but only one coupon scanned on that one. So I ended up paying for one 12 pack out of the four. Still a decent deal, but not as good as I was hoping.
I had the same thing but the manager eventually took the coupons. At first they said they can’t take them at all because they are fake. Then they used the only one per purchase even though it has ” 4 like coupon” message. Then he said they received an email that coke will not reimburse them for these coupons and that coke does not have any free coupons. Eventually he took the coupons because I think he felt bad because he was so nasty to me for no reason. I was very nice and the cashier went to check with manager and he said no and I asked to speak to him but when he came out he was yelling and very nasty to me right from the start. When he saw that it was a coupon that was mailed, he calmed down a bit. The computer was also stopping them from entering more than one but he was able to over ride. I had used one at Martin’s (Giant) earlier in the year without any problems.
If you have a safeway around you use them there when they have their buy 2 get 2 free!!! I used 4 coupons and got 8 12 packs for $4. The coupon can only take off $4.99 and their 12 packs are $5.99 so I paid $1 for each 12 pack I paid for 😀
I went to VONS earlier in the week…did exactly what you said…and paid the $1 extra for the ones I use my MCR Coupons on. I am a happy camper with the VONS B2G2 FREE deal😃
I had the same problem today but it was explained to me that I was only allowed to use 2 coupons as I was receiving a $5 rewards back. I was not allowed to have a moneymaker with the coupons, using 3 would have been a moneymaker after receiving the $5 rewards. I hope this helps and I had the coupons still attached showing my addressI.

I didn’t realize anything until I saw your message. I used four yesterday and got $5 ecb for free. Now I checked my receipt and found that one of the coupons was listed as CVS coupon so I guess it didn’t go through. I will feel bad if the store cannot get money from Coke. The cashier was so nice to put it in for me. I still have 2 free coke coupons left and hope they can scan successfully.

Let me say…not worth the effort to get 5 friends to sign up. Probably then we all have to “tweet” or “like” this and stand on our head to get a free coke. I think that I would rather dig up change and buy myself a coke instead of this…waah waah! Just my two cents!

I no longer enjoy being a member of my cokerewards. I would like to know what increments of points everyone is putting in because I CANNOT put in 75. I’m putting in 73 points. I wish they would change the whole system back to the old mycokerewards.
If you use lids/caps from 20 oz or powerades you can hit 75. They are each good for 3 pts…25 caps will make 75 even. Or six 12-packs and 5 caps. It was so much easier to just do an even 100! And they added up faster too!
I agree. I hate the whole social media crap. I am a private person. I don’t “share” the word of every purchase with my friends. I only have a FB account to access coupons. Otherwise, i have no “friends” and want no “friends”.
I really wish I could’ve spent all my points before they went to this social media way of things. We used to be able to enter up to 120 points per day and now only 75? I was super disappointed they didn’t do the 12 days of Christmas before flipping over completely to this new social media way. I’m going to cash out my point soon and be done with it. It’s not worth it anymore. Sad, because that means we won’t buy nearly as many products any more either.
Not worth harassing my friends. Offer me a free 12 pk and I might change my mind. 😉

It is disturbing that a company so huge is shamelessly trying to use their customers for free advertising and to attract more customers. Seriously, Coca-Cola? So people have to go harass 5 people and beg them to sign up for an account and in exchange they get a free coke? Lol. Maybe I should be posting this on their facebook. Sorry, I had to vent. They piss me off.
I agree with you. Coca-Cola is getting on my last nerve with all of this crap. So many hassles. They’re pushing there customers away.
I have lots of friends but , I don’t have Facebook or I rather not let everyone know my business ! I know that cupons for coke they having problems at cvs so they do one cupon per transsacion ! Because they have to override the cupons so myself if someone wants to be bother with this that’s ok I rather go in do my weekly shopping trip and I’m done ! A customer was yelling at manager for not having revlon saying I have a bogo cupon that’s not going to do me no good you don’t have the stuff -she went on to tell him I’m a cuponer but I don’t deplete empty the shelfs – he said those were on sale 2 weeks ago and last week that he did order more but, truck won’t be in until Tuesday she was just so upset not worthed

What about doing 2 separate transactions for the 12 pack free coupons? Maybe you can do that in order for the register to accept the coupons and the register to pop out the $5 extra bucks. Usually at least you used to not have to purchase all at once for an extrabuck reward because it used to remember how much you paid based on the card you used.
After saving 12 pack coke ends for years as an avid coke rewards member, I decided I wasn’t able to continue when they changed their criteria since I don’t have facebook or twitter. However I am getting praise from hubby about not having random pieces of coke boxes collecting on top of the fridge anymore.
Same here. I went further and switched to Pepsi. Then told Coke about it and they sent me 4 coupons for free 12 pack to switch back to Coke. I love America
