Walmart Savings Catcher Update: No Longer Applies To Produce & Bakery (+ No Comparisons to Drug Stores)
Do you currently use Walmart’s Savings Catcher program?
If so, take note of these updates that took effect this past weekend. Effective February 14th, Savings Catcher will not apply to produce and bakery items. Additionally, Walmart is limiting comparisons to offers of other mass market retailers, grocery and dollar stores and removing comparisons with drug stores. Darn!

As a reminder, Savings Catcher compares your receipt to advertised prices from top stores in your area, and if it finds a lower advertised price, you get the difference on a Walmart eGift Card – all you have to do is enter your receipt and then Walmart does the rest of the work for you. Or click “Redeem to Bluebird” on your Savings Dashboard and Walmart will double your Reward Dollars and turn them into Walmart Bucks – separate funds on your Bluebird Account that can only be spent at Walmart or online at Walmart.com. Ugh this is bad. Not only do your dollars no longer double, they won’t even honor the double dollars promotion if you bought at Wal Mart during that time, submitted your receipt, and then had to wait a couple of days it won’t work for you. Well after a couple of days went by the promotion was over. On top of all of that, your rewards dollars no longer go to your Bluebird card. Looks like bait and switch to me. I usually don’t accuse companies of that unless there is good reason and a stack of evidence against it, but that’s exactly what it looks like in this case and there can’t be any denying it when you look at the evidence. Such a disappointment. This was a great program and gave me an incentive to shop at Wal Mart.
Your reward dollars go to your bluebird account if you tell it to I do this daily. And yes the double dollars promotion was limited time till the end of February. If you people want more dollars go use IBOTTA!
To redeem my savings to BlueBird, under the “Redeem to EGift Card” button, there was a smaller graphic that said something like “BlueBird offer” which you would normally think it is a link to apply for BlueBird. I clicked on that link and it gave me the option to redeem to BlueBird, however, it no longer doubles.
That promotion ended
i cant redeem my money at all. Doesn’t even give the option for e gift card. And after around 20 emails for help, still nothing.
I hear you I am having the same problem no Redeem to Bluebird icon, no option for eGift card, even when Walmart Savings Catcher sent me an email with an amount to redeem for a eGift card Click on it log in and the amount is different logged in. I to have sent more then 12 emails and the techies email me back telling me iphone app doesn’t work,I have an android cell phone,tablet and a laptop and NONE OF THEM ARE WORKING ANYMORE, whats puzzling is it all was working about a month ago and now NOT A THING. I even went and saw a manager at Walmart and I knew more than they did, Go figure!!!!!!
I cannot get my savings catcher to work it just keeps downloading “chosen for you”…ugh!
Seems like everyone is having issues redeeming to anything. I’ve emailed them myself. I’ll be calling corporate if this doesn’t resolves soon!

I used savings catcher and had saved over $30.. got an email that a change was made to my walmart.com account overnight .. called next morning and they verified that nothing had changed… checked savings catcher and discovered my savings had been redeemed. Called both walmart.com and savings catcher and found out that a hacker or an inside person changed my email address to theirs and redeemed egift card and changed email back. I live in NY gift card was redeemed in CA. After numerous phone calls no help was given and money lost! Shame on Walmart!

I also am having problems. I have over a hundred dollars that I can’t get back, whenever I try to get it, it tells me that it cannot redeem at this time and try later. Then tonight I got ” there is a problem with your account and call this number…… which no one answers.
I always triple check the tc numbers before i click SEND I just recieved an invalid number response. Now i know for a fact that i entered the correct number this is not the first time you have done this- the time frame ( with-in 7. days of purchase) was correct too i suspected something was wrong with you when you did that before because you can bet your bottom dollar i enter my numbers right ALL The TIME. Not some of the time. There is no sometime right sometime wrong when reading the tc number- one of you is not cocentrating and need to free your mind before coming to work you are not worthy and not smart enough to verify.
