I think they might still sell them at the dollar tree. I honestly prefer these to the energy efficient bulbs. They may not be as “green” and may cost me a couple extra dollars/year, but I honestly feel like they last a lot longer. I find myself replacing the energy efficient bulbs far more often. Doesn’t seem all that efficient to me if I have to replace them every couple of months! 😉
I totally agree! So aggravating that they claim to last longer, and be more efficient, but they really aren’t!
I have high efficiency lights that lasted 6 years, some only a few years. I got mine at Lowes or home depot but idk brand name
I agree. Mine haven’t lasted as long as I expected either. I did read that they wear out more quickly in rooms where you turn them off & on a lot.
Wow….I have never had an energy efficient bulb go out yet! I bought them when I moved out around 2008, took them with me when I moved…still going strong!
They are phasing them out starting at the top- believe 100w are no longer available. These will be next :-/

stores can still sell what they have in stock although the bulbs are no longer being made. This is just old inventory which they are allowed to sell
Hmmmm, well I think I will stick to my CFL’s. They cost a little more than the old fashioned ones but we did notice a huge difference in our electric bill when we replaced all of ours. Good upfront deal for those who still want to use these!
I was not a fan until I tried the CREE soft white light bulbs from Home Depot. They are expensive upfront, but last for 10 years, and a huge power savings!

Stock up on toothpaste (almost always free), deodorant, body wash, shampoo, conditioner, toothbrushes (for unexpected guests, almost always free or $1), detergent and dish liquid. I stock up on Moisturizer, mouth wash, floss, cleaning supplies. Girl, I stock up on anything and everything I use on a regular basis. I only buy it when it’s at its rock bottom price and then stock up.
Hi Candice, I’m going through a divorce and going from a 5 BR home to 2 BR apartment for awhile any storage tips?
I currently live in an apartment and it can be difficult to stockpile due to lack of space. My best tip would be organization! I use every space possible including under beds and on top of cabinets. In a smaller space you definitely have to watch the sale cycles more frequently because you typically don’t have the space someone in a house does. HTH!
For lack of storage/closet space, Ikea Pax wardrobe with shelves helps, can hold the large deep plastic storage bins, and use the outside top of Pax for more bins. Ikea Alex drawers upright don’t have a lot of depth but has deep drawers. Kitchen cart with shelves. Dollar Store and coupons. Also over the door hooks in various sizes. Under the bed boxes. Night/side tables with shelves or drawers. Fabric storage boxes, can be left out then.
I agree with the posters above. Ikea and dollar store. Organize, organize, organize. I also live in a 2 bedroom/2 bathroom and this weekend I purged! I designated 1 area (closet) for stockpiling. I put everything in order by product type, so I can see what I am getting low on, what needs to be replenished and what needs to be donated. I then put my laptop in the closet and started typing my list as I looked through my pile. In my previous apartment I designated an area and all of my stockpiling went on these shelves. Trust me you can do it! I went through a divorce, had to get on welfare for 2 years and had to move in to the PROJECTS. In those 2 years I finished my AA and BA , got off of welfare, moved OUT of the projects and into a beautiful apartment all while being a single mom of a child under 4 and no child support. Did anyone get a confirmation email? I have an order number from when I placed last night, so I know I completed the order. But still over 12 hrs later, I haven’t received an email confirming my order.

And today I received an e-mail that they are out of stock, and my order has been canceled!

Make sure you are signed in to your account. I had not ordered from staples in over a year (maybe two) so I signed in with my normal info and it redirected me to a “new” staples.com account creation but it had to rewards number on the form already. So I just had to put my sign in info in again and it worked fine. Funny thing is on mobile it showed all my addresses and past account information but it wouldn’t let me update anything. I got on the desktop and had to set up a new account.
I got a confirmation right away. Status on the website shows transmitted to warehouse.
I ordered on the mobile site and it completed but I never got an email. So I tried the full site and it went through and got an email

I gave Staples a call since I still hadn’t received a confirmation email. He told me that the bulbs were out of stock yesterday (even though they were not listed as such on the site) and that the order would not be filled. So if you haven’t received an official confirmation, you probably wont receive them.
I got my confirmation right away also. After reading comments, I was beginning to worry, but I checked my shipping status and it says estimated delivery is Wednesday, so maybe Staples will honor their sale. For in-store shopping, you can print a coupon for a 6 pack for $1.99 on their coupon page.
