Ok if there is a limit of 2…how can you buy 3 or 5 ?

    • Whitney

It means that you can spend $10 and get $5 back twice.

      • mel

The Limit 2 is the # of ECBs you can receive, not the quantity of items. The deal is to spend $10, get $5 ECB. So if you spend $20, you’ll receive a $10 ECB.

        • Rebecca

Hello Ladie, I am new at this but if you buy 6 at 3.99 = 23.94, use $5 off any $15 Toothpaste, Toothbrush or Floss. Try CVS Brand! equals 18.94,
          6)2$ off 1= 12
total is 6.94 for 6 and 10 EXTRABUCKS

  2. Holly

Awesome deal. I also got a $3 off of $10 toothpaste sent to my card. :).

    • Jen

Do you give the cashier the mfg coupons first or the $3 off $10?

  3. Renae

Keep your eyes peeled…I bought 4 packs of cottonel double rolls for $1.17 each at CVS

    • Teresa

      How? Thanks

      • JenniferS

Yes Renae please tell us how you scored this deal. If you used coupons, MCM/CVS coupon, item clearanced out? Please share, TIA. Inquiring minds want to know.

  4. Judy Trac

What to buy with the ecb

  5. Judy Trac

3.99 x 5 toothpaste would be less than $20… Do we still get the $10 ecb

    • Jane

hi judy! yep there’s a 98% rule for extrabucks at cvs, so as long as you fulfill the 98% of the required amount, you will get it! i love it cuz you dont have to find any filler items typically! hope that helps 🙂

    • Jeni

Yes! Believe the 97% rule applies, as I did this but receipt said $.05 needed to earn reward but printed one $10 Ecb.

  6. Jane

guess ill be going back there again tmr 😉

  7. Jeni

I purchased 5 @ $3.99, used the $2 q’s plus a $5/$15 MCM Cvs q for oral care for a MM! Super happy, as is my moms FAV toothpaste! Yay!

    • Jen

Did you give the CVS coupon of $5 off $15 first or the mfg coupons first?

  8. Nikole

Its a 5ecb with ten dollar purchase not ten but I still got an awesome deal they were ringing up 280 at my store and I got a $2/2 cvs coupon when I walked in paid 6.85 for 5 and got 5$ back $1.85 for all 5 awesome deal

    • Jane

Yep but when you buy 5 you reach 98% of $20 so you get another $5 ECB

      • Nikole

I thought so to but mine only generated 1 $5 ecb

        • Jeni

I’m guessing Since yours only rang up $2.80 versus $3.99 when you purchased 5 you didn’t get the other $5 Ecb ($10 total).

    • shopper

At $2.80 each you’re at $14 which is much less than 98% ($20) for the ECB to print. You still need $6 for the other 5 ECB, if you want. Receipt probably shows this.

You can do the spend $10 get 5 ECB twice, so 10 ECBs after spending $20.

  9. jax

Can’t you only use 4 alike coupons?

    • Jane

nope, no limit listed on the coupon i dont think! and cvs, doesn’t have a rule on number of like coupons. hope that helps!

    • Jane

scratch that it says limit 4 like per day.

      • Jax

Thank you Jane :). I’ll make 2 trips.

    • Nikole

I thought this was the case to but they took all 5 coupons no problem

  10. rosana

Came to my cvs only 2 of the colgate express in stock i ask for a rain check for that specific tpaste and i was told it was not included in the promo so no raincheck for me.

    • mel

IDK why they didn’t give you a RC, the paper ad says Colgate Optic White toothpaste 3-3.5 oz. $3.99. I’d try another store.

      • rosana

I know, it was the cashier. My favorite cashier was not there or else she would but i just didn’t wanted to argue.

  11. anthony

can this coupon be used for more than one of the same items? i know im probably missing it with the comments but it says to use 5 coupons but like she said it will only allow you to print out two of the coupons so that is why i was asking if you can use one coupon for like 2 or so of the toothpastes and then the other coupon for another few of them…..thank you for your time and again if i missed the answer im sorry

    • mel

No, you need 1 coupon per item purchased. If you have access to another computer, you can print another set of coupons. Additionally the same $2 coupon is available in the 2/22 Smartsource insert if you still have it. (I always keep my back issues just in case!)

  12. Amber

I have a 30% off toothpaste coupon on my card. Will this work on these toothpastes, or will that only work on toothpastes that aren’t on sale? Thanks.

    • Jane

hi amber! typically percent off cvs coupons dont work on sale items sadly but if you have a $3 off $10 toothpaste coupon or $5 off $15, that should work!

  13. Diana

OT but double coupons at kmart this week! I got tresseme hair spray, loreal shampoo, pantene hair spray, pantene conditioner, 2 febreze car freasheners, glade warmer, and 2 cover girl nail polish for $5! I was still bummed to pay that much ( a coupon did not scan 🙁 ) but still a great deal! ☀️

  14. umbreen

You can use purchase the toothpaste to get the first EB and purchase the 2nd group of toothpastes with it. Then get $5 back !

    • Libby

Do you not have to spend $10 each transaction? Is it like a running total for the week?

      • Jane

        It’s a running total

  15. Chay

scan your card at the magic coupon machine!!! i was able to get a coupon for $2 off any toothpaste, mouthwash!! i combined it with one of my $2/1 colgate express white coupon and got one for free 😀

  16. Jamie

Just did this deal.used 5 $2 coupons and had the $3 off $10 in toothpaste on my card.Paid $8.14 got $10 EB!

  17. Vivien

I just checked myWeeklyAd, the Colgate Optic White Express White toothpaste 3oz is not in the”Products in This Deal”: “Spend $10 on select Colgate products get $5 extrabucks® rewards.”

Do you think the toothpaste will be actually included in my local CVS? There is a 24 hour CVS in my area and I usually would get all the deal mentioned here on hip2save.com

I have 5 coupons printed and also got a $5 off $15 toothpaste CVS store coupon

    • shopper

‘Optic White’ is in the ad under that, it’s in the wording next to the mouthwash picture for $3.99

  18. Audrey

So upset. Just went to the the 1st CVS, there is none of the optic white in stock. Went to the 2nd one, there are 4 left so I got 3 to the register, it rings up 8.99$. So I told the cashier it is 3.99 but when she checked the weekly ad She couldn’t find the price and she said she couldn’t do anything….

    • Steph

Make sure you are getting the express 3 ounce because there are other optic white that are bigger size that are more expensive. I had to really look to make sure since I almost picked up the wrong one.

  19. Monika

I used three computers, and it wouldn’t print out the 6th coupon, so I clicked the colgate mouth rinse instead. Hopefully I’ll get the 2nd ECB back as it’s included in the transaction and I need mouth rinse anyway.

  20. Jesse

So cvs allows 5 coupons even though the coupon limits to 4?

  21. Sarah

Stopped by CVS. Only four left on shelf. I took three and used three coupons.

however, i looked up on my receipt, found out that CVS calculates the tax on original price rather than the couponed price.

Is that appropriate? Or CVS reserves the right?

    thank you very much!!!

    • mel

It depends on your city/state. Many tax Pre-Coupon now. Very few tax after coupon.
Only when using true store coupons will you be taxed after that deduction.

      • Sarah

        thank you!

  22. Lori

Stopped at 5 different CVS today. Most did not have any of the 3 oz. size in stock. One had three, but I was hoping to use my $5 off $15 CVS q, so I had to pass. So frustrating!

  23. Richard

    what does ECB mean?

    • Sarah

extra cash back.hope i am correct.

      • mel

ECB = Extra Care Bucks, which is the store coupon that prints on your receipt after purchasing select deals. So if you spend $10 on select Colgate products, you will receive a $5 ECB to use on your next in-store purchase.

  24. kdd4g2

Hi everyone! I just went to CVS and they did not have the Optic White Express 3.0oz in stock. I happened to notice that the optic white toothpaste in 3.5oz was for $4.59, thinking I will only pay $0.60 extra, I decided to buy 3 and get the $5 ECB. Surprisingly, these are also on sale for $3.99 so be sure to check your stores for the same price! I went back and got 2 more and received $10 total in ECBs! What a nice bargain! I got the enamel health, icy cool mint and sparkling mint in 3.5oz sizes for $3.99. Thanks Collin and other Hip2savers for the deal!

    • S

But the coupons only for the express… No?

      • kdd4g2

Oh darn I did not read the post or the coupon correctly and it worked without a beep on all colgatr optic white toothpaste. I feel so bad now as I did not want to commit coupon fraud, just did not read carefully. I will donate the toothpaste and also any items I get from the ECBs. Sorry for my negligence. 🙁

        • Suz A.

The printable is only on express, the one in the paper is on Express, Optic, Platinum, and Enamel Health.

          • kdd4g2

Thank you Suz A. I have already donated the toothpaste and a bunch of food items I bought with the $10 ECBs. I could not have that on my conscience :/

          • kdd4g2

Hi Suz A! Thank you for your comment. I have already donated the toothpastes and several food items I bought with the $10 ECBs. I could not have it on my conscience :/
