I was at Carter’s today and they had winter PJ’s marked down to $4.99 a pair plus 20% off $40, making them $4 a pair. I bought ahead for next year![/h2s_box]

i think she lucked out…. the coupon is not for clearance items. My carter’s used to let me use the coupons on clearance years ago and now it’s changed. If your thinking about doing this deal, just a heads up that they coupon might not work

Last week they had the pj’s marked down to $4.99 plus an extra 30% off all clearance. The store near me was wiped out by evening!

No coupon required (since they are not valid on clearance) but it is 20% off this week surprised, If it doesnt sell at an adtl 30% off lets take it to 20% lol. Maybe next week it will drop to 40 😉

Am I the only one that still thinks $5 for a child’s tee is still too much? 🙂

    • Krissy

I totaly agree! $5 is tops for a kids shirt in my budget it would have to be pretty special to pay $5. I try to buy ahead for the next year at the end of each season and look for the baragin basement markdowns and my kids are still look very nice in my opinion. They are kids and grow so fast I just cant justify paying a lot.

Same here i hate paying more than $3 and it has to be free shipping. That’s why i love children’s place.

I am still on the fence but my Carters tees are the only ones that hold their shape, do not fade, get holes or stretch. My kids do not grow like weeds and are usually in the same size for 8 or so months as infants and 18m as toddlers compared to the suggested 6-12m up sizing. While I may cringe when paying they are only $1-$2.22 more than walmart which while so much cuter do fade, stretch and just do not last a long as I need them too. But if my kids were quick growers it would not be worth it at all. I would however laugh if anyone suggested to me $18 for one really?! Disney store is half that price.

    • Krista

Nope! Way too much…maybe with the 20% off coupon I can of $4 if I really love it. But shoot for the $1.99 clearance with an extra 20% off. But I am cheap…..and my kids closets and dressers are bursting at the seams.

Yeah, the coupons don’t work on clearance items. The register won’t do it. I am an avid Carter’s and OshGosh shopper. If she checks her receipt I’m betting it didn’t come off unless she shopped over the weekend when they had the additional 30% off clearance sale happening in the store, no coupon needed.

Maybe Katie’s store let her use the coupon on clearance. I hope so. That would be awesome! Still a good deal even without the coupon, though! 🙂 My Carter’s had a great sale on winter jammies, too–$3.99 and $4.99. I bought some footed fleece sleepers for next year. The Children’s Place also had jammies marked down to $1.99. I grabbed some for my kiddos as well as a few to place in Operation Christmas Child boxes (I usually get the largest size for the age group we’re buying for so they’ll be likely to fit or at least get grown into). The selection wasn’t huge, but there were still several sizes in both genders left. I know availability is largely due to location (I’m in Iowa), but it might be worth it to stop in and take a peek if you’re there anyway.

Yup, I went today! Winter PJs were on clearance for $4.99 plus an additional 20% off. Smokin deal!!

  6. Krista

I got the deal last week in size girls 7 and indeed it was $4.99 plus the normal 20% off all clearance items that my store always has. $4 a set normal retails for $32 (I pray that no one would ever actually pay that much)

  7. Courtney F.

There was a lot of clearance items but some did ring up higher than I thought they were supposedly priced at. Also, the 20% off does NOT work on clearance – believe me, I tried.
