Thanks so much Kady and Collin! Been waiting around for this deal again! It wasn’t there yesterday.

You are so welcome, Trece! ๐Ÿ™‚

Awesome deal – make sure you price match!!!! I went to Amazon and one of the marked Macbook Pro’s was $1099 . I then copy/pasted the exact model #, etc into Amazon and low and behold it came out to $100 cheaper! Hey, every bit counts! Going to try and see if my husband can get the teacher discount as well!

*Sorry I meant on Best Buy’s site it was $1099 – and on Amazon it was $999

  4. Sangi

If there is no rush, its better to wait it out!! The new Macbook’s will be out in less than a month, making these obsolte. The new ones are quite powerpacked and you may not need to upgrade for another 4-5 yrs.

      But at $1599???

    • Trece

After reading specs and reviews, aside from physical updates the new MacBook has same storage, lower processor with retina display. Am I missing something?

I’m not tech savvy at all. Why will the existing ones become obsolete Sangi? I’m looking to buy the MacBook Air for $799. I don’t need the best and newest. Help and opinions from anyone please.

    • Trece

Michelle read my response to Sangi for the info I’ve found so far.

      note that the $799 model DOES NOT come with e CD/DVD drive. Why? I haven’t a clue. I think it’s a necessity

I have the MacBook Air-just a heads up-they come with basically no storage. I had nothing but pictures on mine-around 1,500 photos, and I got messages that my storage was full. Be prepared to buy an external hard drive. My laptop started doing weird things once the storage was almost full and I had to get it fixed and remove the photos. Now it’s fine. The guy at best buy told me that the Air is basically Apple’s way of getting to a lower price point-but you lose your storage. If I could go back I’d pay more for the Pro.

I just purchased Macbook Air last Thursday and I am in love with my mac. Love it! I was just a little disappointed when I seen the prices you shared above because I had just paid a whopping . The hipster that I am thanks to Colin I chatted and was told to call customer service and they would price match. I should be getting my 150.00 back on my card soon. I paid 949.99 Ouch. So thank you again for the hip deal.

Thanks to hip2save, I got my husband the MacBook Air last Spring when Best Buy had the same sale. Also used student pricing. Glad to see it’s back. Whenever anyone has mentioned that they’re looking to buy a new laptop I tell them to wait for this deal. Thanks!

So these deals are standard for March at Best Buy since some new models are out soon? Is is better to wait for the back to school sale in July? Not sure if Apple’s prices are cheaper in July, or if they just offer some incentives, such as an Apple or iTunes gift card. Just trying to understand the reason behind it
