    Thank you!!!:)

Not sure if anyone else has had this issue, but thought I’d ask. I LOVE the freebie magazine subscriptions that are posted and usually I get Parents and Family Fun. However, I seem to get magazines that I never ordered as well, like Forbes, Fitness and Latina. Just today I got Woman’s Day and I’ve never signed up for them. I tried going on their websites to cancel and can’t because they say I ordered from a 3rd party. It’s really gotten frustrating. Has anyone else experienced this? Thanks!

Yes me too…but I just donate them.

Same Here.. My fiance asked why I ordered him Forbes and a couple others. I just figured that I did infact order them but had forgotten about it. Good to know I am not actually crazy.. I get Women’s Day all of a sudden now too HAHAHAHA. We cut our names out of the ones we don’t want, or have already read.. And put them in our Apartment Gym for others to enjoy.

That’s odd. I’ve ordered a few free magazines from Mercury Magazines, but I’ve never received any others besides the one I asked for.

    • Elsy

You can put them on hold, or change the address and name to a friend 🙂

I randomly received Forbes, when Popular Mechanics showed up – did order PM. Wasn’t looking to cancel Forbes, but emailed them find out where it came from.

Doctor offices love magazines or email the magazine directly how to cancel.

Hi Sonal-I had the same problem. It drove me crazy. In the front of magazines, they have a page with contact information/numbers of departments to call. I called the Subscription number and they did tell me I had to cancel with the third party. The woman I spoke to was very helpful. She gave me the number of that third party and I called. They DID indeed cancel those other unwanted and unrequested magazines. It CAN be stopped. Just get the number from the Subscription department person. If you get a mean person or someone who doesn’t know, ask for a supervisor. Hope that helps.

    • Krista

Yes! Me too. I get a ton I never asked for including forbes like you.

  3. Heidi

Yes I’m also receiving Forbes and a few others I never signed up for.

I also get some I never subscribed for (Bloomberg Business? Golf Week & Golf World?). BUT worse…on my last credit card statement online there were 5 charges from $33-$37 for renewals from free/almost free subscriptions. AAK! Chase marked them as fraud and is removing them, but had to start over with new cards so it wouldn’t happen again. Just beware, not all freebies are as good as they seem..

here’s what i noticed. i’ve been getting free mercury magazines now for 7 yrs. now (and a few magazine freebies that i also didn’t order) i never have given my credit info out to them… but a few days ago, i noticed i had received a FREE $10.00 voucher from them (mercury) which was good on any subscription. .but reading the fine print it says $11.00 on up)

so here i thought i would use it for a free magazine, that’s until i went in to use it and found magazine subscriptions start at $11.00 on up. i found out that i would have to give them my charge card for the difference. i didn’t end up using the free voucher, because i knew this would lead them to use my card and do auto renewals (which end up costing twice as much for a subscription.

there’s another company that i get also free magazines and a they offer a special for $2.00 for other magazines subscription. but once again, you give them your credit card info, and when it comes time to renew, they charge your card a ridiculous amt. for a one year subscription. i just always sign up for the freebies and say NO THANKS to all the other offers they throw at me.
i know they claim no auto renewal. but friends of mine caught their charge card being billed for magazines they dind’t want renewed at a ridiculous amount.

i will say i get so much spam from these free magazines subscriptions. they fill my box by the hundreds. ( i do use a special email for it) but so annoying to have to go thru them all. Free isn’t so free anymore. lol …
and i still appreciate collin posting them.

Jess, I’ve not had to put in credit card information. I only get the free one, not the others they offer for little more. Although, there are some I would like to have for just $2 more. I don’t want to give my credit card info, for them to bill later after subscription runs out.

  6. stella

does anyone know if this is a free sub for one month or if its longer by any chance? thanks

  7. Camille Brown

When I don’t check any of the $2 magazines and enter credit card information it won’t let me submit.

    • Liz

You need to check “NO THANKS” and do not enter your credit card info. It should let you go to the confirmation page.

    • Camille Brown

I saw no where to check “no thanks” and couldn’t hit submit without error messages. However, I just received an email saying my subscription for Women’s Health went through. I did subscribe a few weeks ago for some $2. Now wish I hadn’t. I’ll try to stay on top of it.

      • shopper

For the future, No thanks is very small, under the box with the $2 terms on the left, the coloring of the words is almost the page background color.

  8. Rachel

it’s coming up as out of stock for me.

  9. Annie

Now says Women’s Health is out of stock due to overwhelming demand.

Thanks everyone, glad to know I’m not alone! I called and cancelled the Forbes and Woman’s Day, but next time I may just donate them somewhere!

  14. Karla

Just tried, said out of stock 🙁

  15. Neta

Oh my god I have NEVER seen this one free! Paid for three years at 4.99 each a few months ago. Oh well.

  16. Jaime

If you go on line and google unsolicited mail you can pick and choose what you do not want to receive. Cuts down on waste and mail clutter. It is great. But then you only end up with bills 🙂
