  I am using chrome, but it looks like the scooters cannot be ordered online, because the only option is to check store availability, and then i went to some apparel and they do have the option to ‘add to cart’. darn, no Dick’s near me!

  Just buy the bike you want and remove the pedals. Put them back on when your child learns how to balance and coast–it’s usually very quick! My son learned over a weekend, would have been a day had he been interested in trying it out.

  We just use bike helmets or a razor one I bought at Target. If I have a choice I like the ones that look round like baseball helmets. It already saved my 3.5 y/o from doing a complete face plant.

    I don’t recommend the Razor three wheel scooter. The screws on the back wheels stick out far enough that it scrapes on the ankles. Get the two wheels in the front if looking for a three wheel scooter.
