Rite Aid Shoppers: Say Goodbye to +Up Rewards AND Hello to Plenti Points (New Program Starts in May)

ATTENTION RITE AID SHOPPERS! Rite Aid just announced that the current Wellness+ program will become Wellness+ with Plenti starting in early May. With this new program, you will still earn wellness+ points at Rite Aid on purchases and prescriptions (which can still take you to Gold Status giving you 20% off almost the whole Rite Aid store for one year).

Instead of +UP Rewards, members will now accrue Plenti points on select purchases at Rite Aid. These Plenti points are valid for at least two years instead of two weeks and can be used at Rite Aid and certain other Plenti partners (once you’ve earned at least 200 points, you’ll be able to start using your points for savings at certain Plenti partners). If you are a current wellness+ member, you will need to enroll in the wellness+ with Plenti program when it goes live so you can earn Plenti points in May!

I only shop at Rite Aid when I visit my daughter because we don’t have Rite Aide in Texas but it has been a very pleasant experience and I’ve become friends with the clerks. When Walgreens first brought out Balance rewards I was skeptical but by rolling register rewards and balance points it has been very good. I like CVS but I never get any good Coupons from the red machine anymore and don’t do as well as I used to but couponing is fun and we should all be thankful for the opportunity!

If you don’t have AT &T, don’t buy gasoline or shop at Macys who wants this?
Why cant anything that works be left alone? They should make this OPTIONAL.
PLEASE, PEOPLE, READ THE FINE PRINT. YOUR PERSONAL INFO IS GOING TO BE ALL OVER THE PLACE. THEY ALSO MAY ALSO TRANSFER YOUR INFO TO FOREIGN
COUNTRIES. Apparently, Vermont and California have laws protecting them from this.
GUESS WE WILL BE LOOKING FOR AN ALTERNATIVE PLACE TO SHOP!

It took me a while, but I found a Rite Aid Customer Service supervisor who said you do NOT have to sign up for Plenti. You can still keep your Wellness Plus card and use it as always. The only “problem” is if you lose your Wellness card, Rite Aid cannot replace it. However, you can still get your Wellness discount by using your telephone number. She also said the Wellness program will continue in 2016 and you don’t need to sign up for the Plenti program. Rite Aid obviously did not advertise this, but I think they should. Plenti can use your personal info for marketing including other countries. That’s very troublesome. I’ve chosen to just stay with Wellness Plus.

I saw that with the signup packet I got last week. Makes me nervous. But changes have been made to our military retired insurance. I think I might be stuck using them Since I don’t like Walmart and Walgreens has ongoing issues with not taking care of the military where prescriptions are concerned. We don’t have CVS.

I haven’t been into Rite Aid much since they took away the +up rewards away. I use to brag to everyone how much savings I could make buying all my personal products at Rite Aid, and now its come to an end! I don’t see the deals even using coupons anymore! This Plenti crap isn’t good for me, I don’t shop Macy’s, I have T-mobile not
A T&T no Exxon here, etc, etc, etc. Won’t be shopping much at Rite Aid anymore!! I use to spend enough year after year to maintain the Gold level too. Won’t be anymore!!

what a nightmare! something that should be so simple is so aggravating. still not fully enrolled and wont bother. riteaid should have left well enough alone or been better prepared to make the switch. never received an email link like was told to me in the store. tried online for hours but couldnt complete. last try, called the phone number and went through the whole process 3 times with 3 different people and still not complete. no thanks. i’ll take my business elsewhere.

I agree fully with the problems with the implementation of and communication about the the Plenti points–who wants the aggravation? I’ve lost the Up rewards, get blocked when trying to register for the new system, and am just generally aggravated with the extremely poor corporate communication. No advanced notice, no real explanation, just a email saying we had to sign up (which turns out not to be true in any case).

    Cool

After 3 attempts at calling in to set a pin#, I am giving up. “Please call back later…” Ridiculous. Goodbye Rite Aid and Mobil. Hello CVS and Chevron.

Rite Aid cashier succeeded in getting my Wellness Card CANCELLED by “accidentally” clicking that I wanted to “sign up” for a Plenti card, then when I said NO she said oops I can fix that – I’ll just tell it to stop the switch. Of course that didn’t work and my receipt said thank you for JOINING Plenti – finish signing up when you receive your Plenti email which I did receive and BLOCKED future email with spam filter. NEXT trip to Rite Aid I was told my Rite Aid WELLNESS CARD was INVALID – NO ACCOUNT. Since this is not the end of the year and they are stopping me from using my card for discounts and accumulated points from last year which are supposed to be good through 2015 – they should be sued! Class Action anyone??

I was wondering about that. I wasn’t even asked if I wanted to sign up. When I gave my phone number for my wellness card, I was told they had updated the system and I would need to go on line and register my “Plenti card” When the things you want to buy have a sign in front of them that says you only get the sale price with a card…. and they demand all the personal information to get that card now.. I say Rite Aid can keep it’s stuff. Privacy issues are bad enough without stores you shop at selling your information. CVS will be my store choice.
