I had a question about using coupons that exceed the amount at Target. The register used to automatically adjust the coupon price to purchase price. This seems to no longer be the case. Any ideas to why? I was told yesterday at Target they may not be accepting those coupons that exceed amount in the future. (They did let me use my coupons) Just curious if anyone else experienced this? I LOVE Target but may just have to use this coupon at Walmart…

This is a great bottle, I managed to get one on offer sometime ago.
I was unable to use a coupon that was over the price of an item at Walmart last time I tried. The manager told me I couldn’t use the coupon since it was more than the item cost and then I would be getting the item for free. That was my first time trying and I haven’t tried again because it was kind of embarrassing.
i really don’t understand why it matters to them if the customer gets an item for free or pay $100, in the end they will receive $5 reimbursement from the manufacturer… i’ve had many bad coupon experience as well, even when i try to follow all the rules :-/
You need to print the Walmart policy and stand up to him! They clearly allow this. If your coupon is more than the item then you get it for free PLUS the remaining back in cash or it will eat up your tax.
based on my experience, you have to have sort of like a filler to eat up the remaining amount of the coupon so you won’t have a problem using it. For example, this coupon is $5/1 and the product price is $4.99, the register won’t take the coupon but if you have other items to fill the remaining amount you’re good to go.
That’s not true. It will accept the coupon because Walmart allows overage plus cash back if you want. Know your policy and ask for the highest superior working.
Nick, while you are right some of us Rather not argue with a cashier and put in a fuller item (cheapest of course) to avoid all the confrontation as sometimes they can refuse to use the coupon all together.

No you cannot copy a coupon – each coupon must have individual numbers on it!
