Do you have to receive the invitation in order to qualify for the gift card or can you just go ahead and make one?

    • Melanie

Id like to know that as well

    • rae

Being that it says select customers it’s probably just those who got the email. Just like when they were doing the kindle deals via the banner when you logged in on the site during holiday time.

    • Jay

Asked their customer service about this. Only people who got the e-mail can get the gift card. No codes to trade or anything like that and the the gift card will only be sent if the 40 items are added and your email account is flagged for the deal. They didnt know who received the emails or why they were chosen and said they dont have a way to add people to the list πŸ™

Does anyone know for the $20 wedding registry a while ago… does that $20 gift card from amazon expire?

    • Alex

I’m pretty sure that Amazon gift cards don’t expire at all, even promotional gift cards.

    • couponsaremycurrency

      It doesn’t expire

  3. Unknown

Anyone know Do I qualify if I don’t have a baby? do 40 purchases have to made or just the 40 added?

    • Melissa

you should only make a registry if youre actually expecting a baby. it is not fair to take this from real mothers that are expecting.

    • Kate

Why would you make a registry if you don’t actually have a baby coming? Some people…smh

      • Unknown

Maybe i would like to help out an expecting mother who’s in need by using the $30 Gift Card. I guess it doesn’t pay to be kind.

        • e

No, it generally doesn’t pay to be kinda that’s not the point of being kind. It’s still cheating a company though.

          • Unknown

It’s only cheating if the company clearly states you must be the mother.

            • Sandy

We’ll said Unknown! I got the email and I plan to use it to buy items for a single mom from my church. She lost her job and has pre-eclampsia and her baby is due anytime now. I can’t have children my self and it saddens me to see people thinking only about themselves. Just because I’m not able to have children doesn’t mean I can’t use the giftcard.

            • Val

              Sandy,

As a new mom to a preemie born two months early at 3 pounds, I thank you for helping your friend with pre-eclampsia. I had severe pre-eclampsia and HELP syndrome. People don’t realize how terribly sick a women gets with those: as in, your lucky to be alive. A mom with severe pre-eclampsia can hardly function at all and can use all the help she can get. Please encourage any other people to help that poor mother, most people just don’t understand how debilitating pre-eclampsia is. I lost my job too.

    • MacKenzie

Oh boy. You all need to get off your high horses. Just last month when they had the free card with a wedding registry tons of people who were not getting married were commenting that they signed up. There are always going to be people who take advantage. If you don’t like it, just move on like I do.

  4. mellissa

I don’t see the email in my inbox and I have purchased many things from Amazon. I am also expecting!

  5. Kristen

Why were there no good incentives when I was making my registry? ;( Couldn’t get the free sample box, no free $30 gift card …. Boo!!

    • couponsaremycurrency

Ditto. Better plan the next baby around the deals. πŸ˜‰

  6. Shopper

Does anyone know if the free sample box is still around? or did that promotion expire?

    • Holly

I believe that promotion expired, I think on March 14th.

  7. B B

Did anyone receive the emailed offer, and is not expecting a baby? If so, is it a code, or a unique link to go through via the email message, or is it not possible to transfer the deal to someone else? I’m expecting in Sept, and would love to set up a registry on amazon, and the $30 GC would be a nice bonus! In case anyone is not in need of a baby registry, could you please forward to me? Thank you!!

  8. e

Darn, my registry is on Amazon and literally 100s worth of stuff has been bought (furniture, big stroller)…but no email πŸ™

  9. Melanie

Is a link or a special code??

    • B B

Hi millie! I have been wanting to try schoola since I heard about it a while back. Is that free shipping and $15 off still available? Thx!

  10. Liz

Just dry up a registry a week ago and no email. πŸ™ I couldn’t do the box promo either because my mom membership ran out and I didn’t want to pay for a new one. I was really hoping since they carry a good selection of cloth diapers.

  11. jan

I get so many emails from them, but not that one πŸ˜› 27 weeks preggo and could use $30 πŸ™

  12. Nicole

No offense, but even if you just had a baby like I did signing up for a registry is a great idea. People are always asking what you need and this is a great way to give people ideas. And whether you are having a baby in a month or two or three or had one last month what’s the difference? Don’t we need diapers and wipes etc. just the same.

  13. anonymous

If it’s free its for me. I don’t see anything wrong with creating a registry to receive the card. I have created a second email account to sign up for a new Amazon account for the free trial prime membership. The economy is tight, save where you can. It’s not like this is a limited offer, it’s only being sent to certain people. After receiving the email, congratulations! You are expecting πŸ™‚ those who are making comments about it scamming a VERY wealthy and successful company are just green bc they aren’t in on it. Amazon knows people will create a baby registry without expecting..lighten up and those of you that received it, I’m green too (lol)

  14. Sarah

I was actually able to use the baby box promo code just now, but it has been in my inbox for 2 weeks and I just now saw it. I’m not sure if you would be able to get it if you made a new registry right now. I didn’t get the gift card offer though πŸ™ I’m wondering if it’s because this is my 2nd baby to have an amazon registry.
