Will this cause the cashier machine to beep?
I actually went to Walgreens this morning to score this deal. The register wouldn’t take the Walgreens coupon from the April Savings Booklet. My guess is because we’re not technically in April yet. The mentioned that to the cashier but she proceeded to tell me that it was because the coupons in the booklet are manufacturer coupons. That was a stressful transaction
They wouldn’t push them through for me either. The stylers that were not on sale had tags underneath them like $6.49 – $2 = $4.49 and those are the stylers the Walgreens cashier said that the coupon was for, not the stylers that were on sale 2 for $6 which was weird because the coupon didn’t say “select” stylers — it only has an ounce restriction (3-9 ounces if I remember correctly)…was so frustrating.
The garnier will work on shampoo too not just stylers?
Yes , it will work for shampoo , conditioner, styler and treatment.
The walgreens coupon is only for the larger shampoos so they wouldn’t be free.
Jay, The Walgreens April coupon is for the large shampoos and conditioners. They are not 2/$6

Coupon Beeps on stylers also. It is meant for the high $$ stylers, not the 2/$6 ones. The wording includes the 2/$6 ones, so it is a YMMV deal. One store did it manually and the other store would not, making up a bunch of reasons we all know are not true (can’t use it with a sale, can only be used on the large shampoo because that is on the picture, etc.) Good Luck on this one…
Well said!! This is exactly the problem I ran into today.
I highly recommend the garnier leave in conditioner I went to bed with this in my hair and my husband thought I had put on some new sexy cologne or body lotions…He loved the scent so much…looks like mommy will be going to bed with this leave in conditioner more often!
When I went to my Walgreens, the two stylets I picked out were “new” products and therefore my IVC wouldn’t go through. The cashier did not want to manually put it through as he indicated that since the picture was of a bottle I could not get stylers in a can/spray. I politely informed him of the wording and he still refused. I politely asked to involve the manager to which the manager indicated that the Walgreens registers/coupon may not recognize a “new” garnier item since they still have to be linked. I just wanted to point that out in case you run into an issue. The manager kindly accepted the coupon and adjusted the price to $1.00 per styler and then scanned my manufacturer coupon. I also tried to do this deal with the 2/$6 and it didnt work.. it met the sizes and everything… luckily my favorite manager was there and fixed it so i just paid tax 🙂
i tried to do this today as well and was given the excuse that it only applies to the bigger shampoos and the regular priced serums. Not worth the headache, I walked away.

The coupon beeped on my stylers. The cashier voided it and tried again, then said it was because I had too many coupons. I knew that wasn’t true because the store coupon should not count. Rather than argue, I went and picked up three of the $3/3 movie theater boxes of candy. Of course it still beeped. She looked at my stuff and said it should work (duh) and that she would put it in manually but that she could only give me $2 off one item. I told her that wasn’t right, it should be $2 off each of them. She said I could just use my BR points to pay and get them for free that way. Uh, no. So she called the manager who told her to void it (again) and re ring it. The manager couldn’t figure it out either so she said to just adjust the item prices to $1 each (before manufacturer coupons). My total was $4.05 which I knew was wrong but I just paid it and left. The guy behind me in line caught up to me outside and said “Honey, she overcharged you. You need to go back in and tell them.” I wasn’t sure it was worth the hassle, but I went back in and went to the older lady at the perfume counter. She refunded me, no problem. (The first girl had adjusted one styler to $1 and the other to $1.99.) Of course now I have three boxes of candy that I didn’t intend to purchase and to top it off I had a $2.50 RR in my purse that I forgot to use. Grrrr.
Did any of you 5 ladies that were asking about what zip the coupon is under ever find out the answer? I’m trying to figure it out also. Trying a few. Weird part is that I selected a couple of coupons to print that weren’t garnier but I was told I had already reached my limit! What’s up with that?

Didn’t work for me on the stylers either. Just tried. Lady at register told me the coupons in the April book were manufacturer coupons that could only be used at Walgreens so I couldn’t use both. Urg!
This is not a valid deal. It’s all over instagram, TSU and every coupon site known to man…and it’s a big mistake.I spoke with the manager of the store I shop in frequently and he brought me right over to nicely explain that there are two concurring sales for Garnier this week. The products should be clearly tagged inside your store showing which sale it pertains to. The 2/$6 products should not be, and are not part of, the ivc coupon acceptance. The products (stylers and shampoos) that are part of IVC acceptance should also be clearly marked; and they are approximately $6.29. Cashiers should not be over riding this, or they will be costing Walgreens money. Now trust me, I’m all for free, and I am all for a great deal with points, but I think people should verify a sale before they post it. It’s deceptive to those who run down thinking they are going to save money, when in fact they are wasting gas to be disappointed! This should explain why it’s not working for so many of you….but if someone read the IVC coupon, they’d see it’s for a large bottle of Garnier and SELECTED stylers….H2S, you need to talk to your research team!
I totally agree with what you are saying. I was hoping it was just a really great deal, but was worried. I went to the super nice lady at the cosmetics counter since I was figured it would give me problems and it did! She and I both read it over and ours didn’t say selected stylers. If it had said selected stylers she would have kindly pointed it out because the store manager gives cashiers a lot of grief about coupons, so whenever a coupon doesn’t immediately work she will look for a reason not to take it. Since they left out that all important ‘Selected’ she took it to her manager, who also didn’t see ‘selected’, who said she could push it through, but as she was filling out a form they have beside the register for whenever they have to override a coupon, I got really worried and asked her if she could double check with her manager because I didn’t want her to get into trouble because I wanted some cheap curl spray. She did and explained what the final price would be, $1 each, the manager changed her mind and said it must be a misprint. Thankfully I was there early Monday and they said they were going to put up a sign warning people about the misprint. I warned my cashier about the $1 printable making them free if it hadn’t been a misprint and she thanked me and even gave me some samples because I was so patient and actually helped them catch it before it caused a problem at the store.
Sorry for the confusion regarding this deal. Apparently, the $2/1 Walgreens coupon is only working on the stylers that are priced at $6.49. I just updated the deal scenario above.
