Nice deal on a flat iron! 6PM.com is offering up this Chi Air Expert Classic Tourmaline 1″ Ceramic Hairstyling Iron, Mat AND Brush for just $54.99 shipped (reg. $99.99). This seems like an awesome deal as similar Chi flat irons alone are selling for around $90 on Amazon.

My daughter was given a straightener and needs a new one….looking for recommendations for long, thick wavy hair…I want a good one that will work well for her and last (but hoping to watch and find a killer deal) she’s 12…suggestions??

I have coarse, wavy hair and love my Paul Mitchell. My first one lasted three years, and then I changed to a Chi. I’ll never use a Chi again. I felt like the plates pulled at my hair. And I didn’t like that there wasn’t a temperature control setting. They’ve probably come a long way, but I still prefer my Paul Mitchell. They’re about $100, but worth it IMO. I’ve had my second one for almost five years.

I have a chi that is 8+ yrs that is still going strong I thought I would get a new 1 since I’m sure mine is ready to go. The new 1 I got snagged my hair terribly my hair kept getting stuck in the plates somehow so I returned the new 1 and went back to my ancient chi. I would say the quality has gone downhill.

I have long thick and wavy hair, ive had my chi for about 7 years already and i love it, mine doesnt have any tenperature control it only has on and off, buy the chi oil to put on your daughters hair before she uses it, i only use about a drop each time im going to use it! I really recommend chi!
      I love mine!

I have thick coarse curly hair and had my chi over 10yrs.Mine finally died a few wks ago. I used it on my daughters hair also-she just turned 12, very coarse but not as curly as mine. I recommend it.

I saw a few of these on clearance at my Target for I think around $65. I’m sure it’s regional, but if you’re heading to target anyway & need one of these I’d keep your eye out for it:)
