Love the stuff I’d got last time…totally worth it

    • Kim

How is their polish? Does it last a long time?

      • Laura

I ordered my set at least a year and a half ago, and I am annoyed that the polish is thick and sticky now and won’t apply smoothly. I feel like cheaper stuff I have gotten at the drug store has a longer shelf life.

This membership is very hard to cancel. Nobody answers the phone if you want to cancel it so try to handle your cancellation through email. Don’t assume that your membership was cancelled just because you sent an email … make sure that you receive a confirmation. I was not impressed with the boxes. The polish is expensive and getting 4 new polishes at $25.00 every month was just too much for me. So, getting the first free box is nice but the problems with membership cancellation and the regular price of the boxes are not worth the hassle in my opinion.

Can I cancel the subscription after the first box and how?

    • Sue

Yes! Just call the phone number πŸ™‚ LOVE Julep!!

    • Christy

      Good Luck canceling.

    • Lindsay

They have me a lot of trouble and I got charged a couple of times when I wasn’t supposed to be.

      • Sue

Ive gotten the box before and had no trouble canceling?

I ordered this julep maven kit around valentine’s time. I love the cute polish, but couldn’t justify the full price offer. This starter kit is a fun way to try them out though. I didn’t have any trouble cancelling and their customer service team was nice (to me). Their polish is looser than some other brands but it covers very nicely. I recommend with any polish for it to last getting the Sally Hansen clear gel top coat. (black bottle with white lid) It’s fabulous even with cheap no name polish. It tends to last a lot longer. Happy Tuesday.

I like Julep all right. The polish bottles are really small compared to other brands. I would definitely try the intro box though–it’s so cheap! The rewards are also great if you have friends who want to try.
I reallllly want to like the quick dry top coat–it does dry insanely fast–but the shrinkage and chipping from it is just not worth it. Not to mention you only use about half the bottle before it gums up.
The Sally Hansen Miracle Gel Top Coat is a much better bet and is much cheaper (use a $3.50 off $10 Ulta coupon!).
And if you’re looking for some REALLY awesome polish in HUGE bottles, check out Super Black Laquers https://superblacklacquers.com/
Amazing coverage, awesome holos and glitters, really funky fun shades, and it lasts and lasts and lasts. Also Natalie is hilarious. (I swear I’m not gaining anything from this, I just love her polish THAT much!)

Anyway, if anyone DOES want to try out Julep I would be stoked if you used my referral link πŸ™‚ https://www.julep.com/rewardsref/index/refer/id/15278/
    Thanks!

Just ordered it. Also ordered Sparks Fly! Mini Lip Glimmer Trio for $10.00. Free shipping $10 and over. 4 nail polishes and 3 lip glosses for $10! Seems like a good deal. Will share with my 14 y.o. daughter. I am going to cancel subscription after it arrives. Wish me luck.

    • Kayla

I looked through all the nail polishes to find ones on sale and after I proceeded to checkout I saw the “introductory offers” with all the cheap add-ons like the lip gloss set. Wasted some time there! Haha I decided to get the Plie Wand kit since it was a pretty good value.

I signed up through Colin’s link WAY back in 2013! While i love all their polish colors, i can’t say that i have always loved the quality. What i DO love, and what has stopped me from cancelling my subscription is all their OTHER products! Their Bare Faced Oil Cleanser is maybe one of the best new products i have tried!!

If you’re thinking of signing up, i’d love if you would consider using my referral link: https://www.julep.com/rewardsref/index/refer/id/165848/

    Thanks!!

My mom had a subscription for a year, then canceled. She talked to someone quickly, and got things worked out. She did have to cancel twice, though. πŸ™‚

I LOVE their beauty products and makeup. Please use my referral link:

These are great products, but I did cancel after a few boxes when I thought about it enough and knew I’d be spending $300 a year on keeping my subscription, seems like alot, it does save money versus buying the makeup individually but its still like $6 per item and you’ll very quickly have WAY more polish than you could ever use. I think it’s worth it to get the cheap welcome box, but not to keep it up unless you have alot of people to give makeup as gifts to,lol. Oh, the eye shadows are amazing!fyi:)

    • Kayla

The whole reason why I cancelled (aside from the price) was I had WAY too many nail polishes! The colors were lovely but I wasn’t always interested in getting three more nail polishes a month. I did like their beauty products, but I have too many of those too!

  10. Amanda

Oh, and cancelling for me was annoying, had to do it twice and they still charged me, had to wait on hold for like half an hour for them to refund my money and they were so rude to me.

  11. April

This company is VERY hard to cancel I had to dispute on my cc and cancel my card because of having issues with them cancelling my membership. Everything was resolved but was not a good experience AT ALL.

  12. JamilasMom

I LOVE Julep. I’ve stopped wearing any other nail polishes – I’m fully obsessed. πŸ™‚ I have seen a lot of people say it’s hard to cancel but I can’t say anything about that because I’ve never tried to cancel. It was love at first box for me. I’ve taken several monthly boxes and placed other orders as well. It’s a great way to get great quality vegan-friendly polishes if you shop the secret store and used coupons – they’ve always got great coupons and great sales going. I love the coverage and the color variety. It helps to check the reviews on the site – they are always honest, they don’t edit the negatives or anything.

The non-polish products have been hit or miss for me. I love the lip gloss but would insist that you don’t waste your money on the invisible lipliner – it was the most disappointing thing.

My link. Many thanks if you choose to use it to sign up! https://www.julep.com/rewardsref/index/refer/id/1462020/

I go through nail polish pretty quickly since I’m a beauty blogger. I have to say that I’m so obsessed with their nail polish and I don’t know what I’d do without their Freedom Polymer Topcoat and Rock star Hand Cream. I did have to cancel but I plan on resubscribing again sometime soon. I just sent an email when I cancelled and it was an easy and painless.

  14. sleepymei

I signed up when they had a $5 introductory box. This deal is even sweeter!
Remember to skip or cancel the month after or you will be charged full price. The quality is good but a bit expensive.
