I have one and use Strait Talks plan. I like the phone but since its an Amazon phone, you have only thrir apps. No Target cartwheel, Ibotta. So far that is my only gripe
Amy I have the Target cartwheel , the Walmart catcher, the hip2save apps. You can manually add google apps to the phone ,check youtube you can find directions there.

If it is unlocked, would you need to connect to a “service”? Could a person use it like a tablet whenever there is wifi?
I’m pretty sure any phone like this (iPhone at least) can be used just for their wifi if they aren’t activated. Even if it’s tied to a specific cellular company. So yes this should do just that
Yes, this is correct. I use my old iPhone 5 like an iPod touch: it’s not active, but unlocked, so I use it in my car as a music player, and on wifi networks I will use safari.
I love this phone !!! I bought it at $229 I believe, then price went up to $449,my husband wanted a phone like mine ,but not for 500 bucks.I just bought it for him. Thank you soo much Collin!! This phone is a great deal, I downloaded google apps(check youtube for that). It has a great camera, actually it has 4 cameras(dynamic perspective).This phone is slick and has great technology including unlimited storage in icloud. Not to mention the 1 year free of Amazon prime (thats $99 bucks itself,even if you have prime now it would add an additional year). So basically you are getting a neat phone for about 100 bucks. Try finding a phone like this for this price , not going to happen. Also, what I like is that its unlocked with so many carriers. I have a $20 a month carrier, my friend pays $200 a month for her iphone cellphone plan service.(thats not in my price range ).If your needing a phone ,do some research online, or reviews ,but for the price and what it does I would recommend this phone 🙂

nope Facetime is for (mac/itunes/iphone) use ,but you can add Skype.

puretalk usa , its 160 min that rollover and 500 MB of data. For me (light phone talker it works ) I used to have sprint paid $60 bucks a month and barely used 120 min a month.
I’m on a family plan with MetroPCS, 4 lines for $100, taxes and fees included. Unlimited minutes, text, and data. Love it!

I have had this since it came out. I do not recommend. Search on Amazon “Amazon Fire Phone, 32GB (AT&T)” it has 2.7 out of 5 stars. Unlike the one listed which conveniently has higher stars…
I would definately suggest not to buy the amazon fire phone (at&T) this is not the at&T version(thank god) this is the unlocked version , completely different. the at&T one could only be used with at&T with a contract and very limited to uses. If you buy this phone make sure its not the At&t version.
It’s not a completely different phone though, the one listed above. It’s the exact same phone just unlocked to be used on different carriers. I hate hate hate my Amazon phone. It’s a piece of junk. It was in the top 10 technology flops of the century article. They aren’t even making a second generation of it!
I have the AT&T version.. do not like it… i was suppose to get a $10 app credit.. never did.. cant download alot of apps i love such as cartwheel.. it freezes alot and typing is horrible on it. It shuts down quit often as well..

I bought this phone about 4 months ago. Overall, a great phone!. But battery doesn’t last long at all and if you were watching videos on prime. The back gets really hot and mayday feature is outstanding! (Except they don’t have a fix for the hot temperatures)
Mayday is so hot or miss for me. A good 67% of the time (yes. I have documentation!) They have to send me on to the “specialists” who have not a single time been able to fix my problem or answer my question without opening a ticket.
Where are the good deals on the lifeproof or otter box cases for this phone? Oh wait…

The amazon fire phone supports pretty much anything except for Verizon, Sprint, and US Cellular.

The best case is probably one with a built in battery charger. you can find cases like this on amazon or at some places like best buy. im not sure about the price however.
Did anyone who ordered this get their phone? My order still said processing and Rakuten told me I had to contact the seller who was Alcatac. I called Alcatac and was told they can ship the phone but they will not honor the free amazon prime for one year. They said everyone was sent an email (which I never was) that they could refund or ship the phone minus amazon prime.
