Its funny how it says “show them how much you care” but mil gets a $5 gift.

My fiances mom passed away when he was 12 and it saddens me i will never get the opportunity to meet her as i surely would not give her a $5 gift

    • Merry

I noticed that too! $5 gifts for MIL and up to $50 for mom. It almost looks like a joke advertisement.

      • Tia

Yeah, I think it was meant to be funny. My MIL just happens to be the best ever 🙂

      • Thaise

        Also noticed that.

i got married just a few days before my mom passed away and my MIL is just the best mother substitute i could’ve asked for. so i def like to splurge for her. hopefully this was a joke… and a big toast to all the awesome MILs out there, i hope i can be just as loved by my future DIL 🙂

I am trying to picture my 75 year old Mom with a spray tan! 🙂

Does anyone have experience with any of the photo products they have on there? There’s a lot of $5 canvas prints, but I’ve never heard of any of the companies.

    • laura

I was curious too. Which seems like the best deal/ best quality?

      • Cassandra

I’m looking through all of them Laura. I’ve also been looking up the websites to see shipping charges (which vary significantly for some items, so be sure to look the ones up that interest you!)

        • Vicki

I took a chance on the place called PrinterPix at Christmas, & got awesome pictures on slate! I gave them all away as gifts; I need to snag the groupon for one for me.

    • Megan

They’re all common canvas companies, but read the fine print because none include shipping, which killed the deal for me.

      • Cassandra

Thanks Megan, I just said that same thing to Laura. Maybe I’ll order one and save it for a Christmas gift!

Even though it could be a joke it is still nice to have a sense of humor. I love my mother but instead of getting anything to my mil I will get my mom one of these 5 buck gifts. It fits my budget at this time and will probably buy one for myself. Some of us can’t afford a $50 gift so I am glad they are offering this wether it is for a mil, mom or self.

Funny you mention that, I got a friend a graduation gift. It was a deal on here from the amazing Hip2save team. I said it’s not much but it’s a gift. But why say it’s ot much. I put thought into it, came out of my college budget. If you spend 50 or you spend 5. Don’t diminish the value of what you give & the spirit in which it was given. A gift to someone important to you. I received a pack of colored Sharpies & mason jar labels. I use them all the time. It wasn’t expensive but it’s something I love from.a person I love 🙂

MIL? Pshh. totally bought like 6 of these $5 deals for myself! My very pregnant self is super excited to go get a $5 mani/pedi 🙂

  8. Carole

Awesome deals! My Mother’s Day shopping has been done for awhile, but I bought three necklaces so now my sisters’ Christmas gifts are done!

  9. Jennifer

I bought one of the $5 haircut deals for my daughter so she can go to a nice salon for once instead of the usual supercuts type places. It doesn’t have any restrictions on the groupon so I am hoping that anyone can use these, right? I hope they are not just expecting mothers to be using these. Any thoughts?

  10. CJ

No mani/pedi in my area unfortunately. Saw two blowouts for $5 and a spray tan for $5.

  11. Angelina

Got 2 Brazilian waxes for $10 total-awesome! Just in time for summer 😉 Wish we had pedi offers!
