Moms- what is your opinion about Huggies? I’ve heard Pampers are the best diapers out there. But what about Huggies?

    • cathy

We had A LOT of leaking issues. We actually preferred Target up & Up to huggies or pampers.

    • Elena

I think it just depends on the baby. My long lean daughter did great in pampers but my daughter that was chubby did better in Huggies. Just buy small packages of different brands and see what works best for you and baby.

      • Suzyq

Agreed! My chubby babies always leaked in pampers so they were both huggies babies. Or the Walgreens brand

    • Brianna

Huggies are my preferred brand after they are out of size 1. And I’m a mom of 3! But that’s just me.

      • Rachel

Agree that huggies are great after NB and size 1. We had better luck with pampers for those sizes with both of ours, but Huggies all the way after that!

    • Happymama

My son could only wear Huggies because he had sensitive skin (he’s a redhead). I usually buy Huggies for my daughter because they are on sale most often but she can wear any brand. I think Huggies is the best for my babies’ skin. I’d try a small package and see how your baby does.

If you have an Aldi nearby, they have a double grantee where if you don’t like their product, return it to the store for a full refund and a new package that you can donate it or something.

Huggies work well for us. We have tried all the brands and store brands and the only ones I avoid are the CVS brand. One thing about pampers is that they have a distinct smell that I am not fond of.

    • Tracy

Huggies were the best for all four of mine! Love them and prefer these way over Pampers after size 1 Becuase with pampers the gel type stuff in the diaper gets on their skin and it can be a pain to get off… To avoid the particles you need to change baby more often… Hence more $ on diapers when other brands hold more. I’d do about any other brand (except parents choice) before pampers (after size 1). But each has their own preference and what works well for their child πŸ™‚

    • rebecca

hey, this won’t be a useful reply to help you stock up, but it totally depends on the kid.
for one child i only had more leaks with newborn Luvs, then for another child i could not use Huggies sometimes because they caused rashes. i have not had fit issues with any store brands (Toys R Us, CVS, Kmart, Walgreens, all these were okay for multiple kids.)
it will depend on the child, and also, at different stages/weights, it may change what is the best fit. child’s skin might be sensitive to one diaper brand, but no to another.
when i have opened a bag that didn’t work out, or other moms i know stocked up on something that ended up not working for them, i have traded packages before.
Pampers are the softest, but they do sometimes leave weird gel-type residue on the baby’s bottom when the child is older and is wearing it for longer periods of time at night, or if the child is a heavy wetter.

    • Jasmin M.

Def agree with the moms here it depends on the baby. I was able to use both brands on both my daughter and son. I liked pampers more for my daughter but have used huggies pretty exclusively on my son. The pampers sag a lot so I was changing too frequently. Also different types of huggies feel different. Huggies little movers is softer than snug and dry.

    • Emily

If we aren’t using chemical free (all the stuff that is in regular diapers absorbs into baby’s skin), we use huggies. They work WAY better than Pampers for us, but I second those that talked about fit. Pampers work great for my niece, but my kiddo leaked almost immediately. I have a friend that swears by Costco and Target diapers. It’s definitely not about price. All about fit.

    • Laura Johnson

I tried pampers with my first, (you know, I was gonna be a diaper snob,) but EVERY SINGLE DIAPER leaked. Bad. Now with my 2nd, we use huggies or up &up. I will personally never use pampers again. Huggies work great.

    • Jennifer

Thanks for all of your input. I guess it depends on the baby. I wanted to stock up on these great deals before my little one arrives. Does anyone know if I can stock up on this huggies deal and exchange them for a different brand if it doesn’t work out? I was planning on taping the receipts to the box so show proof of purchase.

I tried using the $2.00 coupons.com coupon @ Walgreens today and they would not take it. Cashier stated that the $3 monthly coupon specified it could not be combined with any other offer πŸ™

    • Mandy

Try another walgreens. Mine took it and I went twice and had a different cashier each time.

    • rebecca

if one coupon was from manufacturer, and one was Walgreens coupon from their monthly savings book, they were wrong to tell you that. you can use both. i did it at 2 locations no problem, and Hip2Save shoppers have been doing this deal for a couple weeks now.
the cashier you got was not educated about the Walgreens coupon policy. you CAN combine store coupon with mfg. coupon!

  3. Bethany

Also at Target you can a 10.00 Manufacturer Coupon that prints out of catalina if you do the 2 big boxes of huggies making it cheaper. I paid 67.00 for 4 boxes after coupons, giftcards πŸ™‚

    • Bethany

10.00 off anything in target store btw

  4. A.

Off topic here, but I have a code 40% off your first bundle from the honest company that I’m not going to use. TOTL%71QU45

  5. mommyx4

  6. Heather

    I also received a $10 Catalina!

  7. Becky

  9. Andrea Bowden

I was able to print two of the $3/1 coupons. How do you print 4? I tried using zip code 77477 and it didn’t make a difference. I’m new to this coupon thing. Any help would be appreciated! Thanks!

    • tamara

You can only print two of the same coupons per computer. Basically, in order to print four of the same coupons you need 2 computers.
