I think I will continue doing site to store for free.

  2. Neha

No chance. They are giving nothing but free shipping for 50 bucks annually. Compare it with Amazon Prime for 2 day shipping and free PRIME membership though 50 bucks more.
Also since Walmart has physical existence everywhere i would stick with in store pick up rather than spending this amount.

I paid $72.00 for the year remember that one day sale they had earlier in the year ..and they were late with so many items i already recieved from there customer service a 4 month extension and over $100.00 dollars in refunds that they were late on and got to keep the merchandise ..honest i so friggen love PRIME

      • Liz

James i have got a year of extensions…but how did u get refunds? I never get refunds…

  3. james

Ahhh NO!!! I have the merch shipped to store for free done lol

  4. Freckle53

Not a deal. Amazon gives much more than just shipping. If Walmart added streaming services and priced it at about $75, then they might give Amazon competition.

  5. frecklelily

I would definitely try it! I have a Walmart 30 minutes North and one about 20 minutes South of where I live. It might be worth $50/year to not have to go out. I also have Amazon prime (which I love), but it would be useful to use Walmart sometimes.

  6. Rose

not too sure. i do know i have been on their website wanting some things and didn’t purchase due to the shipping.also, the items i was interested in did not ship to the store.

  7. Tara

Not even a chance that I would pay for this. Is this really the best Walmart could come up with?

  8. Deb

I love Amazon Prime and it’s unlikely that I’ll get a Walmart account, but I’d like to remind you all that Prime started out being just a shipping service at first. Maybe Walmart will add in other services? Maybe Walmart’s entering the “free shipping” arena will cause Amazon to lower the price of Prime? Will be interesting to see how this plays out!

    • Tobey

I would try it if they do a deal. Kmart charges less for their service and I got the kmart membership during the holiday for $10. I love amazon prime and will never be without, all others would have to be a great deal for me to try it. $50 is not a great price to get people to try it.

      • JanaGad

I agree I think they should have a better introductory rate to get people to try it.

  9. SB

I might would. I like to shop Walmart.com but the site-to-store pick-up at my store takes FOREVER to come and get your stuff. I usually wait 15-20 minutes with no one else in line😒 …gets pretty frustrating. I also have prime which is awesome, but I still find stuff on Walmart that I buy.

    • Brenda

I hear you ! I have bought several small items to pick up in store and can never find someone to help me. It takes about 30 minutes just to hound an employee down. There has been several instances where I just don’t pick up an item and get issue a giftcard back.

      • lindak

Agreed, I’ve tried 2 stores near me and both are bad with the pickup. One guy always tells me it’s not in and I have to insist he gets another employee to look. The other store has no one at the counter. But, I’m not willing to give Walmart $50 as I don’t order that much from them.

    • A

The in-store pickup at my store is equally awful. I once stood in line for an hour because they couldn’t figure out how to enter a promotional item that someone was getting free with a treadmill they were picking up. I don’t understand why it has to be so bad.

    • Stacy

In store is horrible expect when your beyond pregnant. Every time I had to pick something up my husband sent me on my own. I think they were worried I was going to give birth because I would always have at least 2 people trying to find my stuff

Now that I’m not pregnant I’m in the same boat. They can never find the item or an employee that knows how to work the register

    • arielm

      Yes so true!!!

  10. CBNurse

Nope. Amazon offers 3 day shipping with theirs & Walmart has had TOO many online issues that affected me to make this risk worth it. I’m sure there will be lots of stipulations added too.

  11. brandice

    Sticking with Prime

  12. ohmom

walmart’s online shopping is very very bad….i’ve had 3 times just in the past year when my items did not ship even after almost a month, and they never even notified me!after i got hold of customet service, thry finally tell me that they are out of stock and have to cancel my order!!!they had my money for 1month and couldnt even say if their order was filled or not!! i’ve had 2 birthday surprises and one sad kid because of them-NEVER ever shopping there-even if an item is dirt cheap..grrrrrrrrr

  13. Katie

You can’t pay me to shop at Walmart…. Online OR in the store…

    • Heather

Me either! I cannot stand Walmart.

      • K

Same here, worse customer service anywhere, but I don’t blame the employees it’s corporate that’s the problem.

  14. Angela

Ship to store is a pain but that is more than I’d ever spend for that.

  15. Molly

Site to Store is a HUGE pain when it’s time to come pick up the items….it takes at least 30 minutes. I often wonder if Walmart purposely makes free pick up such a hassle. That being said, I don’t shop online enough with Walmart.com to make $50 worth the cost.

    • Melissa

I agree. Site to store is a total pain. If I could simply go in and pick up my order, that would be fine. But it doesn’t work that way. I have never once found anyone at the pick up counter. Countless employees will walk by on the way to the break room. But they are never the ones who work with ship to store. When I finally get someone to help me it usually takes them another 10 minutes to locate the item, if is is indeed there after all. If “time is money” walmart’s ship to store service is not a bargain. I would much rather shop Amazon Prime. I am totally happy with it!

  16. Pam

No way will I join. For the price of Prime you get so much more than just the shipping. The investment in Prime far outweighs what Walmart will offer.

  17. Marie

No, prefer Amazon. Hardly shop Walmart.

  18. thrift

I think competition is great. I love my prime account, and also order from walmart using site to store pick-up. Not sure if I’d be willing to pay for home delivery, but I’m all for giving amazon a little competition. Who knows, maybe cost of prime will come down 🙂

    • CJ

I feel the same way! I will be moving to a much more rural area this summer where the closest walmart (or any major chain store) will be 20-30 minutes so I see more online shopping in my future. I’m hoping some competition will be a great thing…whether it leads to a better offer from walmart or Amazon stepping up their game.

  19. Rachael

I won’t pay for it, store pick up is generally quick and easy. Target shipping is free with the red card, so $50 seems high to me.

    • Tia

      Yep and yep.

  20. Tammy

no I would not — shipping is already free with a $50.00 order and if I need less I just have it shipped to the store

  21. Tammy

as an added note — prime takes only 2 days and they also offer the subscribe and saves to get the additional 15% off which brings pricing out cheaper than walmart

  22. Lana

No way and I don’t do Amazon Prime either. Both are just an avenue for me to buy what I do not need.

  23. Kay

It has been over a year since Ive shopped at Walmart. I actually started couponing to find deals since I always *thought* Walmart was cheaper. Its the best feeling to not have to beg a rude cashier to check you out or stand in long lines. Based on their treatment of customers and employees I wont even be ordering online.

    • Melissa

Walmart has some good prices on most non-food items, but I am not impressed with food prices. They are only good if you price match. But I have found that Walmart makes it so hard to do that it is not worth the effort. I would rather shop at my nearby Kroger store.

  24. A

Joining the chorus of no. Lots of the things I order on prime are small household items that Walmart probably won’t even offer online. Plus I know if there’s an issue that Amazon’s customer service is top-notch. I’ve only had to call Walmart’s customer service one time in recent memory and let’s just say it was a less than favorable experience.

  25. Jessica

    Nope.
Half the reason I have prime is to avoid having to go buy everything at Walmart (all we have in this town!). I don’t want to be limited to Walmart brands.

  26. Jorge

Nothing compares to Amazon Prime. Actually, I learned the hard way with Walmart.com earlier this year when several expensive items were fraudulently ordered for site to store. The walmart cust service employee cancelled my entire acct and suggested I not “save credit card info for future orders” ever again. That being said, I don’t think I will order online from Walmart ever again.

  27. Cami

We have had issues with online ordering at Walmart.com. Online customer service like to help themselves to your credit card account. I won’t be taking advantage of this service.

  28. Queenmum

I’ll try it. Half the time my prime orders show up late anyways. I have had wonderful customer service from Walmart online over the years. I avoid going into the store because it’s so dirty and the customer service in store is awful.

    • A

If you call customer service and let them know an item was received after the guaranteed delivery date, they will add another month to your prime membership each time. I actually kind of like when things are a day late because of this feature, lol.

  29. Cindy

If they would make the offer a lot more appealing to sign folks up, I might try it. But since my current Amazon Prime was $72/yr and offers free TWO-day shipping, a LOT more items to choose from, and all the other Prime-related stuff like movies and books at no extra cost, I see no reason in the world to try Walmart’s version — I just don’t see how it can really compete.

  30. Amber

I’m jumping on the no bandwagon also, but for a different reason. I already pay $50 a year for prime because I have a student account with them. Amazon’s has more than paid for itself! I don’t see me buying enough things from WalMart for the price to be worth it. Maybe they will get the ball rolling and revamp it, they would need to offer alot more.

  31. Serena

I wouldn’t pay. Typically you can get free shipping with a minimum purchase anyways.

  32. dealzgurl

Most definitely not! I hate Wal-Mart stores and I’ve always been nervous about shopping their store online because of the security breaches I’ve heard others talk about. I see good deals from them all the time but I don’t buy because it’s such a hassle to deal with them. I bought a storage card for my camera once and it didn’t fit. Tried to take it back and the woman said I couldn’t return because the package was open…I’m like…how else would I know it didn’t fit??? SMH….they get very little of my money these days…

  33. thehenrydthoreau

I can get free to Fed ex location shipping from Walmart – the closest store is an hour away. Why would I pay $50???

  34. Lisa

I hate shopping at Walmart. It stresses me out. LOL! The return line is long and horribble. I signed my daughter up for Amazon prime and am loving it.

  35. nancy

I actually heard this on the radio. They say it might be by invitation only as they try it and that product will arrive within 3 days. No music or movie streaming though.

  36. Lily

Every time we’ve tried the Free Shipping from Walmart (in orders over $50) something goes wrong 🙁 They send the items from multiple locations and it takes for ever to arrive. I think we’ll stick with Amazon on this one ! Worth every $

  37. Susan

I’ll never give Walmart my money!

  38. Jen

    It’s not free shipping, it’s $50.

  39. Stacy

Not a deal.. Target redcard is the best!!

  40. Heather N

Sticking with Amazon. If I really need something from Walmart I’ll do site to store or add some extra stuff to get free shipping. Their shipping prices are usually pretty low anyways compared to other places.

  41. B

I personally will never pay for one of these shipping services at the prices they are at. At Amazon, I’d much rather get my order up to the minimum and get free shipping that is normally really fast. But $70-100 for that? I’d never use the streaming service or any of the other “perks” so honestly I’d only pay maybe $25 bucks for something like this. I’d rather run to the store. It would be nice for last minute gifts, though.

And Walmart is terrible – terrible to their employees and the environment and consumers. I’ll pass from shopping there whenever I can.

  42. Chelsey

Wow…i have never try Wal-Mart.com service but I’m so glad that i didn’t…lol almost all comments are bad ..
Maybe all…i always use amazon anyways..
So not i don’t think so..

  43. Mike

I have paid the $50 for the trial membership. The way I see it, $50 is a steal if it means I never have to darken their door again, for pet food!
