If we can get the passes but don’t want to go because we don’t live near the theater are we able to give them to someone else?
Short answer, possibly.
Long answer:
They’re not guaranteed seats…you stand in a big line and if there’s room you’ll get in. The passes do have names on them, but can be valid for 2 on one pass. It’s up to the Gofobo rep to check the pass holder’s ID. One theater/cashier, did attach a regular tix to pass w/o asking for any ID, still not guaranteed.
However, dealing with Gofobo isn’t worth it. Long story..They ran it very poorly..company changed hands, passes missing pertinent info. The rep was already armed with an info sheet for the next showing with a guaranteed seat code, I did right away, called rep directly & still not on that list, they did nothing once again.
The theater manager ended up taking care of us.
I have been to two Gofobo screenings and both went great. Waited in line, they scanned my passes (didn’t check id at least where I went) no problems. Got to see two fun movies for free.
This is a good way for people to see movies for free. I have gone to many of these in the past and lately they have been so packed (sold out) and you had to get there to line up like 1hour or more before the movie started that the movie experience wasn’t as entertaining as I liked so now I just go on my local theaters cheap day or get the movie certificates from Disney Rewards or cereal promos.
