I was going to mention this…went yesterday and found a bunch of stuff in the front of the store that was marked the same. The pks. of napkins were marked .50, so only .25 ea, the bags I got were marked .50 as well, and the large gift bag was marked 1.00…..can’t beat .50…I usually get them at the dollar tree, so there’s a nice savings! They had a BUNCH of coloring books (got strawberry shortcake for my niece that were .25 ea too and Sudoku and crosswords books as well. I came out paying just over $4, because I got a LOT of Sudoku books!
I got great deals on laundry detergent and cat food! $1.75 for Purex powder and $.25 for cans of fancy feast cat food. I am good for the summer!
I wish they had a kiosk machine at these stores..mine never seems to have clearance signs up
Is that the clearance price or you use coupon on top of that?
I got 72 ct of gain flings for $6 each after coupon. And Palmolive soap for 25 cents after coupon.
I love my local Dollar General. I go there every weekend. They are coupon friendly and even offer their own coupons.
Yes! Our dollar general has had this going since Friday! I got tons of items!! Too many to list but I got 56 items for $39.00!!!

you can get Irish spring gear for Free. It was tag $3 less the 50% promo = $1.50 less the ip coupon of $1.50 = free. don’t use printable with the $5/$25 because their machine right now is wonky.
It’s always wonkt if you try to use manu coupons with dollar General coupons..
There’s lots of hidden clearance too.msome stores haven’t pulled the stuff yet and marked it with an orange tag. Brawny 8 giant rolls is 3.75. Schick intuition renewing moisture razor is 3.37(use $3 DG digital q). Hefty easy flap 27 ct 30 gal trash bags are $2.05(use $1 digital q). Vasoline spray lotions are 2.25(use $2 q).
My stores didn’t have much but there are lots of other digital coupons that match up.
Also, nerf footballs for $1.50. B2P pens 2pk are .37. Crayola display is included too. I got pip squeaks for .50.
How do you know what’s on sale it doesn’t have a clearance tag or sign..I keep having to go to the front of store to have them price check things

At one store half the Clearance section was excluded. The manager was very condescending , we didn’t fight itbecause we think we heard gun shots outside and 4 cops screaming by.

I went today and bought the following: Planters peanuts 20 oz. $1.88, Garnier Olia haircolor $2.75 – $2 manuf. cpn., 2 pak Rayovac flashlights with batterys $2.80, Iberia Sazon .77, Wild Harvest guinea pig food $1.25. I may hit another tomorrow to see what they have. If you go be sure to bring your coupons and check your receipt. I had to go back and explain the Planters did not discount. She tried to tell me it was and I told her it wasn’t and brought back all the items. It’s funny when they think they are right and most times their not. I honestly hate DG registers. This is this the second time this has happened to me over clearance items.
This is very true, you have to watch carefully, one of my nail polishes rang up at the $1 instead of 50cents but i didnt go back to fight it over one thing, had it been more than 50cents i would have been going back though!
I was in the car going over the receipt. If I had been home I wouldn’t have bothered.
I teach preschool and i got a bunch of coloring books for Christmas gifts. It’s really hard to give nice gifts to 20 kids and not spend a lot. Thanks
I never find any clearances in dollar general boze last week their was clearance for bathroom curtain and many more but when went see around all the dollar general we did not find anything clearance 😡😡😡
Just bought a TON of stuff….like 130 items, lol. Paid just under $70 after using the $5/$25 coupon 🙂 Now that I think about it, I could have split up my transaction into three separate transactions to save $5 per $25 spent, but oh well. I am a youth group leader, so all these items I bought will help with making babysitting bags for the youth and I was also able to get tons of stuff for personal hygiene donation bags. Thanks for posting. I just got 36 items for $22. Including salad dressing and a ncaa purse. Thinking about going to an another DG later. FYI: watch how things ring up, some of my items were wrong and I wa able to catch it at the register.
yeah, customers like to leave on the clearance aisle items from their cart that they decide that they no longer want to purchase–it’s horrible—my stores do very very well orange sticker tagging most items, so whenever it lacks a tag, I know that it may not be clearance and I’ll ask up front ‘I’m not sure if this is clearance, it was on the clearance aisle, but without an orange sticker’—50/50 chance
I purchased a Gain lingerie bag (1.50), hair moisturizer (47cents w/Coupon), I got a sm Gain detergent ($2 w/C), lamp base($3.50–clearance error, tagged with an orange clearance sticker for like the past 2 weeks too), lampshade (2.25), band aids 2 pkgs ($1 w/C), napkins ($1each, #2) and a contact lens case (75cents) for about $12—about the regular cost of the lamp
Stopped by 2 stores today. Grabbed puzzle books for my kids teachers; cheez it style crackers for .75; napkins for school parties .37 and gift bags .50 & $1.00; plus 3 pk flashlights for $2.00; red lobster biscuit mix and a measuring cup!! Several items I scored were just $.01!!!! Super saver mission
Thanks for the heads up. I was able to score 15 coloring books for under $5. They may be a little girly but my son could care less. He loves to color.
Stopped by DG Friday for a Coke special 2 12 paks for $5. L4 per transaction, and was told to stock up if I drink a lot as it is a once a year price. Very nice there! Also noticed clearance items. Didn’t get any the first run, but some of the boutique boxes caught my eye the 2nd time. Still held strong. The next time the lady in front of me in line had some in her cart and the cashier told her they were 75% off, so my cart turned around to see what I could find. Some ended up in my cart also. 🙂 Will be lovely for Christmas with embroidered items or whatever, or can use some myself. Looked at some of these earlier on the reg. shelves and were admiring them. Lovely!
I went to my local store yesterday and a couple items I picked up that had the orange clearance sticker didn’t ring up clearance so be careful!
