Maybe it is me BUT I am confused. Isn’t the regular price $9.49 if you use the $8.49 store and $1.00 manufacturer to make it zero? I am kinda slow! LOL!!

    • shopper

They’re on sale for $8.49, minus the $8.49 CRT. The ad scan can be found online (not on CVS yet), if you need a visual.

will CVS allow the $1 off manuf. coupon even if the CVS coupon makes it already free ($8.49 off item that costs $8.49)?
remind me which coupon to give them first to prevent beeping and problems? the store coupon or manf. coupon?
as long as i have another item in my cart, will it work out that the $1 off overage from the 2 coupons goes towards my total purchase, or will CVS coupon get adjusted down?

    • mel

It doesn’t matter the order at CVS, b/c the coupons don’t attach to the items nor change the value (like Target store coupons). I always give store coupons first, then manuf. Yes, you need another item to absorb the overage from the coupon stack.

These things are nasty though. I know some like them, that’s cool! But both my husband and I couldn’t even eat the singles when CVS had them free a while back.

      • Cassandra

I agree Mel. I got some at Kroger that were on clearance and they’re still sitting in the cupboard. 😳

      • irene

They’re called health bars. If they taste good, they’d be called candy bars! Ha!

        • Kidsallgone

          Hahaha!!!!

        • mel

Well no duhhhh! I’m well aware of what health bars taste like. We did not care for THIS brand. Geesh.

  3. Moria

If the CVS coupon is for $8.49 off and that’s how much they cost, why would you bother with the manufacturer coupon? Does CVS allow coupon overage like that?

  4. Kevin Martin

You don’t need a manufacturer coupon because the bars are free with the store coupon

  5. Ben

Maybe the regular price is $9.49?

  6. AJ

I hope this is posted again next Sunday, I hope we all get $1 overage 🙂

  7. Eric

I thought CVS didn’t allow overage.

  8. Sheila

We don’t like these, but I will pick up any free item to donate.

    • Jen

If you don’t use these, then leave them for people like me who have blood sugar issues and need these. It seems I always waste my time and gas just to have the shelves cleared from people who just buy it because it’s free. Just a thought:).

      • really!

Not everything is about you! I cant stand all these entitled people now a days. first come first server. She is planning on donating how do you know other people with “blood sugar issues” wouldn’t greatly appreciate her donation?

      • Claudia

You can always check online to make sure they have it in stock!

        • Jen

Thanks! I wasn’t aware of this! Will be checking from now on!

          • erica

Ask for a raincheck if they don’t have them.

            • Ashley57

It is a coupon, not a sale, so I don’t think they will do a raincheck.

  9. Diana

I thought the lemon cranberry ones were awesome! 🙂

  10. Karen

If CVS is out of an item that’s on sale will they write out a rain check for the item if asked to do so?

    • sara

They should. In my case, when I went to the 2nd CVS with no Vanilla flavor nutrition shake yesterday, the cashier had to talk verify with the manager if she can give me a raincheck. The mgr said they “were instructed to avoid giving rainchecks.” I didn’t leave and instead told her that this is the 2nd store I’ve been to, and I’m not gonna be able to come back before the end of Saturday just to find out that they haven’t restocked, or they did, but have been cleared out by other shoppers. She gave me the raincheck, but with much hesitation. It might not be like this with your store, though.

  11. daltonjsmom

Unless the ad states “no rainchecks” they have to honor the advertised sale price and give you a raincheck if you ask for one. (They do not, however, have to honor the coupon past its expiration date.) If a store refuses to give you a raincheck, call the corporate office. To avoid this, you might just ask when they get their shipment of advertised items. In my store, they don’t receive the supply of advertised items for the week until Wednesday!
