*Browse through the list of participating restaurants in your area (you will be able to view the menu, location, and phone # for each restaurant)

*Pick your restaurant and the appropriate gift certificate amount and then click add to cart; be sure to read the restaurant’s special instructions before purchasing the certificate; many restaurants require that you make a minimum purchase in order to use the certificate (i.e. minimum purchase of $35 is required to use a $25 restaurant.com certificate), many add 18% gratuity prior to the certificate being applied, some state valid for food or dinner only, and some restrict the days that the certificate can be used (i.e. Monday-Friday only).

*Enter the promo code PRIME into the “Promo Code” box in the shopping cart; your discount will then be applied to your purchase. AND your final cost for a $25 certificate will be just $4.25!

*When you complete the transaction for your gift certificate, you will receive a confirmation page and an email that will allow you to customize, print, and/or email the certificate to someone; certificates can be customized with a choice of a background picture, a specific message, and the recipient’s name and you may also opt to receive notification when the recipients receives and opens the email…makes it super easy to send the certificate as a gift to someone special!

How does one use this. I have never used it since it feels too good to be true. Any fine prints that I should be aware of?? I see there is a minimum spend is that the only requirement

Ive used a few. After running into 2 places that refused to take them, I always call the restaurant first to be sure they take them before buying. And some specify dine in only in addition to the minimum required to purchase. They really do never expire, and you can exchange unused omes for different ones thru their site if you change your mind.

      No problem

No problem. Sometimes a restaurant goes out of business but restaurant.com gives you credit to buy something else instead, so no loss. Some staff are clueless about the offers, so take a printout with you to the restaurant. It displays the instructions in detail for the redemption process.

IMO, it’s not always the most popular restaurants in town that offer these, so it’s a way to try something new without overspending.

I’ve used them without any problem. But when you buy a $25 gift certificate. You have to spend a minimum $50. I normally buy the $10 ones.

i have never had a problem redeeming one, as long i can find it to print on the website. some restaurants have a limited number to be printed per month, so they run out quickly at the beginning of the month, then more do not become available until the new month starts. by the end of the month, restaurant choices are more limited.
i have always followed instructions, such as minimum spend (spend $50 to use $25 certificate, for example) and spend minimum before tip. restaurants in my city have taken them pleasantly, no issues.

Make sure you check out the menu before you buy a certificate. I have found that it’s sometimes hard to meet the minimum spend without ordering extra items that I otherwise would not have ordered. Typically the minimum spend excludes tax, tip, and alcohol. And usually they add a required 18% tip to the entire non-discounted bill.
