No overage
Yes the register will allow overage. You need to have other items to cover it though or else the coupons will adjust down. Coupon policy says they “may” reduce the value of a coupon. It doesn’t say that overage isn’t allowed.
Not at my target
Mine either… the coupon automatically goes down to the price of the item… I’ve had coupons more than the price of my item numerous times and it says works out like this.
Give target coupon first then manufacturer coupon.
I always give manuf first, then Target, and the register always applies the full value of both, even if it creates overage. I just make sure to have other items in my cart to absorb it. The only coupons now that the cashiers will override is BOGOs. Once in a blue moon I’ll get a cashier that will scan and let the full value through.

The target I go to in Riverside ca typically let’s the bogos go through full value.
It’s not really an “overage”. You pay $2.75 and get a $5 gift card (which makes it a mm). So whether they allow an overage or not doesn’t apply to this deal.

I don’t shop Target often but I can use up to 4 same Target coupon.
That’s what I thought too but maybe the coupon states different?
And as far as overages at target you can apply the overage to another item.

You do realize that people ask the questions BEFORE they print them. So they do not know what the coupon states. The majority of Target coupons state one per guest.
So they should quit being lazy and print the coupon. Then they would know.

I just looked at a different Target coupon I have and it says one coupon per guest… I’ve always had to separate the transactions when I have more than one Target coupon or else the second one will beep and the cashier won’t let me use it…
I just printed one to see, this coupon does state 4 identical coupons are allowed 🙂 you had a very valid question and I had the same before printing

If you have access to more than 1 computer, you can get more coupons. But you are right, only 2 prints if you just have 1 computer!

I was thinking of doing this same thing. My only concern is that on the Nivea Manufacturers coupon, it states that “limit one coupon per purchase”.
It’s my understanding that that means one coupon per item purchased. Basically, you can’t apply two Nivea coupons to the same bottle of Nivea.

Yes, I purchased 6 Nivea body wash this morning and use three $3/2 MC, plus two $3/1 TC and one $2/2 TC coupon just paid $7.90 OOP, got $5 gift card back.
There appears to be a coupong for free Edge, Skintimate, or Hydro shave gel with purchase of Schick razor, refill, or disposable. That could put you over the $20 limit and not need to mess with the listerine flosser. Or at the very least could add in a free can of shave gel. On coupons.com. Cheers!
I don’t think that you can use this because you would be technically using two manufacturer coupons on the razors than.
This coupon applies to both the razor and the shave gel, so, you wont be able to use the 7/2 coupon on the razors – since one of them will be ‘taken up’ by the first coupon.
Target does not allow BOGO manuf coupons with manuf cents off. One would have to be a Target coupon. This BOGO however, does NOT attach to both items. I’ve been using it at CVS towards the cash card deal and it rings up the full value of $3.99, even when using a coupon on the razors.

That’s what I would like to know. I went yesterday to try and get the buy L’Oreal hair color get a $5 gift card. But ya..shelf was cleared out lol. Would one get more gift cards? Like buy 3 hair color ($7.99 at my store) $23.97…get 3 $5 gift cards for buying 3…and another $5 gift card for buying $20….minus coupons available……does this sound right? lol I only had 1 cup of coffee this morning so not too focused yet

To piggyback on my post I went to another Target (we have 3 in a 10 mile radius) and they had the promo still but the shelves were cleared. I guess it depends on the Target!

Not really rude, she was just telling you the coupon states what is included. It’s easier to just state what is included on these Target coupons than to write everything that is excluded. Personal care tends to mean items you use to clean or take care of yourself while makeup is a beauty product as it’s used to make you beautiful.

I had a hard time getting them to take the Target coupon on the razors last week. It doesn’t state it, but it seems like it is for reusable razors. That is what is pictured. The cashier wouldn’t accept it, but she sent me over to customer service and she had to get permission but they finally accepted it.
i had some trouble using it too, and the cashier was scrutinizing every coupon i gave him. but i stood my ground and he manually punched it in.
God I want these deals but I tried getting the razors a couple days ago and both the cashier and the manger were so ignorant.

I told her “no it’s not like that read the coupon” she had me standing there with a.line of people for 15 minutes since my coupon wouldn’t scan and I asked if I could have it back and she said let me call my manager AHHHHHH NOOO IT WAS SO EMBARRASSING the manager came over said the same thing, so I asked “could we take this over to customer service so we don’t have people waiting in line (it was super busy) she replied with “no since customer is busy” (THERE WAS 2 PEOPLE AT CUSTOMER SERVICE WAITING IN LINE) then I told her to forget it. I lost my debit card there to. God what a day for a 16 year old.
honey dont you ever be embarrassed about standing your ground!!!! if you know you are right, then go for it. i run into people everywhere that have misconceptions about couponing. i have honestly thought about gathering all local store coupon policies and getting them printed up with some basic how tos and definitions and then handing them out. i just might do it soon too.
Agreed Jen. Stand your ground. We as couponers know the policy. Sometimes we have to school the employees. Print the coupon policy and take it with you.

The same thing happened to me last week, since the manager wouldnt accept the $3 off 2 Schick razors target coupon so I took the coupons back and I went to another Target the next day and did a missed coupon. Target accepts coupons 24 hours after you pay (you need to have the receipt) and they went through no problem, I got $6 back. I only do that when ever the employees give me a hard time and I know that I am right, it saves time and whole lot of trouble 😉
This is good to know! I have missed coupons plenty of times. It is amazing the difference between stores/managers/cashiers. Most cashiers at the local targets here are very nice and have never even questioned a coupon. Walmart is a NIGHTMARE for me. I have also found that you really have to watch cashiers and make sure all the coupons work the right way. The other day at safeway my total was not correct. I asked her if my doublr’s were applied, she said yes. I got my receipt and they were not applied. It can be so frustrating at times. But its all worth it to save our families money
@Dan, I feel bad for your horrible experience at target. There are really some stupid and outright dumb cashiers out there. I mean why look at the picture on the coupon? Why not read what the coupon says, they have eyes and brains I supposed. If they don’t know how to use them, I think they should just scoop them out lol
I had that happen at Walgreens a lot. If it isn’t what the picture shows they won’t put it thru.

Hi Angela, yes you can use your $20 GMC to pay and still get the $5 GC back. When the cashier scans the coupon, the computer will prompt them to scan a GC. Then you can pay however you like, since your $20 GC is a form of payment just like cash and not a coupon. Hope this helps 🙂

Not sure if anyone has mentioned this already but when I was at target I saw the listerine floss had the $1/1 coupon attached to it. The floss is a little more expensive than the flosser but if you couldnt get the listerine coupon to print you could buy the floss and snag the coupon. 🙂
I just got back. I paid 98 cents for all of this !!!! I bought 2 razor packs, 2 nivea body washes, and a can of edge shave cream total was $26 got my $5 giftcard..used the $7/2 manufacturers razor coupon..still had a $3/2 target coupon on razors used that.. Used the manufacturers $3/2 nivea..targets $3/1 nivea..coupons.com had a “buy shick razors get a shave cream free” so the edge was free…than the 20%cartwheel razor deal was scanned…I paid 98 cents after tax for everything and got the $5 gift card.

The cashier had to push the shaving cream coupons through for me the other day.
OMG I tried to do the schick razor deal and used the $7/2 and the $3/1 coupons and ended up being scrutinize by the cashiers who called the front manager who also denied me the coupons, then the front manager called the Team leader manager who also rejected my coupons saying my items did not match the pictures on the coupons. I tried to explain to the manager to read the wordings and not the pictures as there are not enough space on the coupons to show every schick razors out there…the manager huffed at me and said, “for your rude attitude I will let you do it once this time” and walked away from me! I ask for her name but she refused to answer me and continued walking away from me. I reported the unprofessionalism/rudeness of both the managers to corporate. What a day! I just wish Target would train their employees/managers on how to read coupon wordings and not rely only on pictures.

i normally do not have a problem as long as the barcode is partially visiable, but this is target so who knows
my target took one that other day no problem. it actually scanned, not sure how since it was barely even in existence lol
