* Kick it to the Curb Sweepstakes –> possibly earn $3 in Surprise Points

After entering each of these sweepstakes, head here to check your Surprise Points – awarded as a Sweeps DoorBuster (all of mine expire on July 9th).

Mine says “Sorry, you are not eligible to visit this section of the online Shop Your Way experience”. Anyone else?

  2. Kim

Did you log into your account first?

  3. Cassandra

I entered one, but now it isn’t loading at all. I wonder if it’s being bombarded with members trying to enter. We’ll wait and see I guess!

    • Stacy

Same here. I can’t even get the screen to show up yet, super slow.

      • Cassandra

I know! But I did get $3 in surprise points from filling out the first sweeps, so it IS working. Thanks Collin! Hopefully it works soon. 🙂

        • Erin

how do you know if you got the points?

          • Cassandra

I just clicked my name and they were listed under my surprise points.

  4. Jen

    I get this message:

    Sorry for the inconvenience.

We are currently experiencing technical difficulties.

    Please try later.

Hi, I never really made the effort to join shop your way since the store isn’t really near where I live. Is it worth it to join? It always seems like there’s so much free points around.

    • Susan

I’d say no unless you mail order from Sears or Kmart a lot…these points are usually in increments of less than $10, can’t be combined, and shipping cost will render them useless. You usually have to have a combined total purchase of at least $30 or $50 to get free shipping with a membership.

      • ashlynn.

Agree on the shipping comments. Shipping fees on both stores sites are super high… so if you can shop into or do free in store pickup it’s not worth it.

    • hong

joining shop your way will give you lots of surprise points so you can use on sears.com or kmart.com. Yesterday, I bought 2 pairs of shoes with coupon SHOE25, I paid $5 out of pocket with my surprise points.

    • Amber

If you check eBay there is usually some type of coupon up for bid that gives you free shipping for shopyourway for a year for 99 cents. That might be worth looking in to.

      • Ashley57

Yes, that is a good tip above. I have the Shop Your Way Max and I only paid the .99 cents for it, and I get free shipping on a lot of items. I have gotten several things mailed to the house for free!

        • rebecca

what a helpful tip, you guys! thanks!
my Kmart is 30 minutes away, so this might be the way to go for me. i HAVE been using my points there, but i like the idea of not leaving my house for the trek across town!

    • rebecca

are you sure no stores are where you live? there a lot of free ship-to-store pickup locations, besides all the Sears and Kmarts, other places (such as shopping malls) can be qualifying pickup sites.
you can also sign up for free Shop-Your-Way trial for 2 months and get all shipping free to your regular address during that time, and the trial DOES NOT auto-renew if you forget to sign up or cancel it after trial runs out!
i think the points program is worth it because i use the low amounts ($5-10 usually every week and a half or so) or get free or cheap diapers, free kids’ pajamas or slippers that i save to give as birthday & Christmas gifts, free socks & lounge pants…
often the points have exclusions (like no groceries or health & beauty, or they might say $5 off of $10 purchase), but i can usually find something in apparel that they work with.

    • jen

its totally worth it!!!! not only do you earn points on pretty much every purchase but from time to time they send out surprise points and random points. theres always a coupon for $5 or $10 back in points on a $25 purchase and so much more. most offers to very from customer to customer so keep that in mind! you can sign up for a membership that gives you free shipping from kmart and sears. about 2 years ago i went through a 6 month period where every other week i was getting anywhere from $3 to $30 in points to spend on anything. i accumulated so many gifts for Christmas that year. i barely spent anything! even if you only make small purchases, like myself, the points add up and you can take it off your bill at check out…even ifs only a couple bucks…its still a couple bucks. they’re adding new ways to earn points as well, if you register your debit/credit card you get points back on a variety of different items and stores. i just got an email if i make a $10+ purchase at certain stores, i will get $10 back in points!!!! you cant beat that. so i think its worth it.

    • michelle

They have a 3 month free trial that you can try it out and see if you like it. I don’t think you even have to enter a credit card. It is very hard to find items with free shipping that you can use points on but occasionally you can. Otherwise shipping starts at $5.75 for orders under $30. There are generally quite a few exclusions on the point redemption too. When I have received $10 points, I have been able to get inexpensive shoes or clothing for the kids.

    • CouponAddictforLife

      Hi Mich,

I work as a personal shopper for SYW and can tell you they are well worth it! If you really get to know their program and follow their deals you can get some amazing buys! (for example today they have a portable battery charger on sears for $14.99 plus $15.13 back in points, meaning you will pay $14.99 plus tax, but you will get back $15.13 in points to buy something else, making it free! They do offers like this all the time)

If you would like to become a FREE client of mine, you will get 3 months of SYW Max shipping – NO cc required, no cancellation required! (this is only if you haven’t done the trial before) I also can help you learn more about SYW and can help you find great deals and will send you coupons. With SYW Max you will get free shipping on orders that the item is $10+ or the entire purchase is $30+ (so that charger I mentioned would be free shipping) I do have a Kmart near me, but 90% of what I order I get shipped to my house for free with this program. (Also note, if you have points and your order is over $30 and say you have $30 in points, you can use them all pay nothing and still have it shipped to your house for free! Its great!)

If you are interested just find me on Facebook – search Coupon Addict for Life and send me a message. I will send you back a direct link. I swear its 100% Free and confidential, I can’t view any private information what so ever. This is just a program to help people like you learn more about SYW and get great deals!

      (PS anyone can sign up)

      • CouponAddictforLife

O also, clients get $3 in free points to spend on whatever they want monthly, plus more surprise points, so it literally PAYS to sign up! There are no fees, no commitment, no one spamming your e-mail or phone, its a completely safe legit awesome program.

      • Karen

how do you find out about certain deals, like the portable battery charger you spoke of. (ex. buy the item, and get the same back in points?)

        • CouponAddictforLife

I always try to post them on my facebook page – I find them on the SYW exclusive pages from Sears or Kmart, or people will find them and send them to me.

You can also look at the SYW exclusive deals on Kmart or Sears if you would like. To do it on Sears, go to sears. com, hover your mouse over Deals (far right top tab) then click on “Member exclusives” and it will bring up a whole list of points back deals. Many times I can send my clients coupons to make these even better.

On Kmart go to kmart. com, hover over Shop your way exclusives (far left top tab) then click on Shop your way exclusives again and like Sears, it will bring up any point back deals. They usually update on both websites every Sunday.

Just keep in mind that any % back deal (which most of them are) you can not use points to help pay for or you will not get points back. If you have any other questions feel free to message me on Facebook for a quick response, I love talking and teaching about SYW and no question is a stupid question, I promise!

  7. Yoli

Extremely slow on mobile. Entered the first one and did get $3 added. The others are taking forever to load.

  8. Erin

I also got an email with surprise points with $5 off a $5 purchase!! Hopefully others got it too!

    • Haseena

      I got them too.

    • chickadee

I received an email this morning titled “No Joke ! You’ve scored big with this: Your surprise points are waiting”. It said:

Where’ve you been? We’re inviting you back with this:
      SURPRISE!
You have $7 in surprise points
(7,000 points) to redeem on your Sears or Kmart purchase of $7 or more.*
HURRY! These points are valid through 6/29/15. Redeemable in store or online at Sears or Kmart.
*Excludes grocery, pet supplies, household cleaning, beauty & health care and other products. See details.

Of course, I hurried right out and got some clothes for my son. The wonderkids seperates were BOGO free and the sets were 50% off. So, I scored 3 shirts and 1 pair of shorts for less than $3! YIPPEE

  9. Josiegm

If you don’t already have a ShopYourWay personal shopper, please you sign up with my daughter Jocelyn Mercado. ShopYourWay issues out 3,000 points (= $3.00) once a month and will be valid for 3 days after you get them, for members who are her clients. Please sign up under her Jocelyn Mercado she would greatly appreciate new clients. Thank you

    • rebecca

what does a personal shopper do? are there any commitments to signing up for this? what is the personal shopper program? where to sign up? is there a website to explain Terms & Conditions? how can i find out what it is first?
      please explain.

      • Erin

no commitment. You basically can do nothing and get free points. You can probably find details by searching personal shopper on shop your way.com. I personally have gotten $15 or so dollars in free points for having a personal shopper. I got some when I signed up and then sporadically since. They do sneak into your account and you don’t get an email about them usually so you have to check pretty often if they are in your account because they have a 3 day expiration.

        • rebecca

thank you, i will check it out. i didn’t know about this section about shoppers on the SYW website.
maybe it’s worth it for no cost, no commit, no spam texts, that kind of thing.

      • Josiegm

Hello Rebecca, Like Erin said no commitments it’s totally FREE and occasionally you do have to check your account because you get FREE surprise points which is FREE Kmart or Sears money with out an email letting you know. But if you sign up under a ShopYourWay personal shopper like my daughter Jocelyn Mercado. For sure you will get once a month and she also sends out coupons to her clients emails. Go to Find a Personal Shopper” on shopyourway web page type in Jocelyn Mercado Click “Choose Me as Your Personal Shopper”. its fast and easy. Thanks I hope that helps

        • rebecca

i appreciate the info, i didn’t want to sign up for something that i didn’t know a lot about.
i will check it out on the SYW website and see if it can benefit me!

  10. Cassandra

I finally got through, but only received $4 in surprise points. Thanks though!

  11. Angela H.

also, if your looking for free points and have a fitbit sign up with fitstudio, they give you points for walking. Similar to the walgreens step program. https://www.fitstudio.com/

  12. Jen N

I also had a random $5 off any $5 surprise points off any purchase at kmart or sears starting today. 🙂 It want associated with any sweepstakes either.

  13. melloddie

    I just did all 3 and only got 1000 pts / $1 🙁

    • holly

      Me too.

    • Laurie Lee

Same here. Only $1.00 in surprise points after entering the three sweeps.

  14. molly

Completed the sweeps, but no points for me.

  15. Erin

How do you know if you got the points? Does something pop up? Do they just show up in your account? I entered the first two and nothing happened that I can see.

    • michelle

Mine appeared in my account and I received an email that has a code for another entry. No extra points for the second entry though.

      • Erin

hmmm….I didn’t get anything. oh well.

  16. jiya

    No points for me.

  17. T

I only received $1 in points after I completed all three sweepstakes

  18. Yoli

I did the $5 and the $3 sweeps and only received $3. But I did have two surprise $10 off $10 which I’m happy to have.

    • Erin

How do you know if you got the points or not??

      • Yoli

I just went back to my points section of sywr and they were there. Hth

  19. Diane

Some of these other Shop Your Way contest ask a lot of personal questions. Do you think they sell your information?

  20. Ashley57

There is a trick to this: Everyone has different sweeps that have a pink “Doorbuster” symbol in the upper right hand corner of the sweeps name. That is the one that individual person will earn points with, not any of the others. It is a promo going on right now.

    • Jennifer

      Thanks!

      • Natasha

Thanks for the tip, this is a time saver!

    • Nilo

      Did not work that too.

    • Sjack

      What kind of symbol ?

    • Barb

Are you able to see this banner on mobile?

    • Julie

      Thanks, that worked for me!

      • sjack

        its written “doorbuster ” ????

        • sarah

Yes, it will have a pink banner on the sweepstakes saying “doorbuster”. I have different games than what was posted and received points.

          • Barb

            Which ones did you have?

    • holly

Cool trick. Thanks. For those still looking, it’s a pink “Doorbuster” sign in the top left corner of each sweepstake’s picture. You’ll notice once you see it. I had one on the sweepstakes “No equipment necessary” and “Hot for dots” worth $1 each.

      • Erin

Either they removed the banners or I didn’t get any. Only “premium” or “contest” banners on mine.

  21. Kit

Entered a few & received no surprise points….

    • Nilo

      Same here.

  22. maria

I only got $1 how do u get the higher $ amount???

    • Niki

Couponaddictforlife is a wonderful person to sign up and use as a personal shopper I love what she does and always answers my questions right away!!

      • sarah

Let me guess, you’re couponaddictforlife? I have seen that they are a personal shopper a bunch of times in order to get the credit.

        • CouponAddictforLife

No Niki is not me, I am Coupon Addict for Life and I really appreciate your kind words Niki! I really work hard to help my clients out and to answer questions as quickly as possible. I also try to always find them coupons to make their deals the best they can be. I do not mean to offend anyone on this site ever, I only comment to help those that do not know about the program learn about it. Yes I do earn compensation for doing my job, just like anyone else out there that has a job. I do it to help my family survive, but I also do it to honestly help people get great deals because its something I’m passionate about. If you would like more information about it Sarah, just let me know. If not thats fine too. I’m just trying to help.

          • Thu

I totally agree with Niki. Coupon Addict for Life has been my personal shopper for a while and I have had nothing but great experiences with her. Actually, I had both mine and my husband’s account to sign up as her clients. She’s the most dedicated and interactive personal shopper I have had. She writes us an email every month to alert us about the coming points in our account so we know when the points will be available for use (it’s very nice since those reward points do expire quickly). On her facebook, she always posts current good deals so we can follow. She’s online frequently so every time I message her I get a response instantly which is a great bonus especially when you need to catch a deal. I get emails from her from time to time when she has a great coupon to share such as $5 off $30, $10 in points if spend $30,,,etc. I have made a lot of money-saving purchases since I signed up. If you don’t believe me, go to Collin’s other posts for Sears and Kmart deals and read the comments’ sections. She’s always there to either help others understand the deals better or to give them great advice on how to save even more money with the deals.

            • CouponAddictforLife

Thu thank you so much! That means so much to me! I really do try to help and stay interactive with my clients, and even those that aren’t my clients that are confused in the comments on different blogs. It always feels good to get such kind feedback!! You and Niki both seriously made my whole day, so Thank you!

          • Michelle

If you were to win surprise points from all 3 sweeps, can you use them together? If not, and I buy something for $1, will it use the $1 surprise points first or just take the points from the $3 or $5 surprise points. TIA

            • CouponAddictforLife

To know for sure, go to shopyourway . com, sign in, click on your name in the right hand corner and a pop down screen should appear. Click on “See All Surprise points” it will then list all the surprise points and their exclusions. If they do not say “Excludes other surprise points” then they should all be able to applied to the same order. To know for sure, when you checkout on the final payment page, it will say how many points can be applied to your order, and how many of them are surprise points. (I can send you a picture of this if it is confusing) Let me know if you have any other questions.

        • Jessica

I have noticed it too. Reading the post replies actually sound like they are sales pitches. LOL. Makes you wonder if “someone” just easily changed their screen name.

          • CouponAddictforLife

I’m sorry you feel that way Jessica. I sincerely would NEVER change my name and make up comments. Thu and Niki are legit clients of mine, along with many other Hip2savers and I’m very grateful for each and every one of them. If people want to sign up great, if not thats fine too. I just like to spread the word about the great program because not many people know about it still, and no matter how I tell anyone about it, it will sound like a sales pitch. Thats not my intentions so I’m sorry if it comes off that way.

  23. N

I got a $1 only after doing all three of them..😟

  24. Diana

I rcvd $5 in points to use on any purchase- sears/kmart 🙂
And kmart is supposed to double coupons next weekend :)) and we will rcv addtl points for clients w/personal shoppers :)) awesome!!!!

  25. Hollidaysburger

If you have kids 13 years old and up, let them join SYW.
My kids use their surprise points for something they want/need.
My daughter is 15, and she is getting many $10~$15 surprise points lately. Almost every months.
    It’s like a free allowance by Sears/Kmart!

  26. Erin

    Well….this sure helps to know!!

A new feature is coming to Sweeps by Shop Your Way on June 25: DOORBUSTER

Select sweepstakes will offer special DoorBuster incentives for entering when the pink DoorBuster flag is featured:

The first designated number of entrants will receive surprise points just for entering! How many surprise points? Well, that’s the surprise! How many entrants? That’s a surprise, too. What time will the Sweeps start…surprise! Entrants, check the surprise point section of your account to see if you entered in time to receive DoorBuster surprise points.

When you see the DoorBuster flag on a promotion, ENTER! You’ll receive surprise points to use on items sold at Sears and Kmart.

DoorBuster flag will disappear once the offer has ended.

    • Cassandra

This is what I’ve found to be true. I got $1 for each of the other doorbuster contests I found, BUT, none of the surprise points can be combined and there are a ton of exclusions, just so everyone knows!

      • Erin

buy a mini candle 🙂 lol. I think they are $1 something.

        • Cassandra

😂thanks Erin, lol. I’m sure I’ll end up spending more than $1!

  27. Jamie

I only got $1 for each doorbuster sweepstakes on both fiance and my account. Oh well, free money!

  28. Deb

Is there an easy way to search for the pink doorbuster flag? I had one under ‘No Equipment Necessary’ . Thanks to the others for this GREAT tip!

  29. D.J.

Just got a email said no joke you have a surprise got $10.00 off $30. Thanks

    • Yoli

      Got that email too… 😄👏🏽

  30. krishna

hot for dots – sweep also giving 1000 points.

    • paintfrog

I won $1 from that one. Thanks!

    • Yoli

Didn’t get anything from that one.

  31. Marjorie

    I entered all 3 and received $1

  32. Dalia

How do u know if you won?

  33. susan

I only got $1 from one of them, none say doorbuster for me, but I did randomly get $20/$20 surprise points! woohoo!

  34. Norma

Can someone give ideas on what to spend $1 on? I got two of them and there are so many exclusions. Don’t want to spend hours looking for a good deal. Thanks.

  35. Heather

$1 surprise points that can’t be combined are basically useless. 🙁
