Great deal! I’m doing some painting and removing old paint from doors ! Started today to remove paint but, it’s becoming a real hard work – this doors are wood but, have so many layers of paint any suggestions to remove faster? Thank you

    • Stacey

Did you use a liquid paint remover before sanding?

    • Nicole

Don’t remove paint, instead use liquid sand and even it out by sanding once dry. Then paint over it.

Is this a good quality paint? I have never used this brand. I need to paint the kids room.

I read some of the reviews on lowes.com and they are not that great :-(.

    • Jen

I’m using it in my son’s room, and I’ve been impressed how well it covers. I’m still doing two coats though.

This is kind of a dumb question, but I see a lot of them are tintable. Will lowes tint it to your color of choice for free or is there a charge?

    • Kay

I’ve never gotten paint from Lowes before, but I’ve never been charged for tinting paint at any store.

      Free

Thanks Collin!! This couldn’t have come at a better time since we had a quote done this morning for painting a single bedroom and were appalled at the price! Got 2 cans for $26 total and can’t wait to get the room done!! =)

Yeah!! I was pricing paint for my parents this am and this was signed for July 4th sale. I never would have known if not for you that this would save them so much money. Thanks again for all you do!! They can order on line and we can pick up for them in the store. AWESOME!!

I ran to Lowe’s to do this deal! I arrived at my local Lowe’s and saw signs advertising that it was actually BOGO. Having read the fine print before leaving and seeing no mention of BOGO I proceeded to order 1 gallon of paint, as one gallon was all that I required for my project. The store employee informed me that it was BOGO today and that I could get another for free. I told him that it said 50% off on the site and that I just needed one for 1/2 off. He informed me that in order to get the 1/2 off price I must buy two. I second guessed myself, thinking maybe I didn’t read the promotion well enough and chose a second color. At checkout I noticed that the paints were ringing up 1/2 off from the first scan but it was too late. Two mixed. Must buy two. When I got home I looked into the promotion. I read it over and over again and sure enough there is not mention of BOGO or the need to buy two at all. I feel that I was conned by the employee in order to bolster the stores sales goals. I’ve always have good experiences with Lowe’s This is disappointing to me considering I drove 20 min out of my way today to take part in this promotion only to be left feeling taken advantage of by a Lowe’s worker. Don’t let this happen to you guys! I’m calling management Monday!

Just a heads up, my Lowe’s is doing but one get one free so you have to purchase 2 gallons. But still a great price, thanks for the heads up!

They tell you in store that it’s buy 1 get one, but it actually still rings up at the 50% off price if you buy an uneven number of cans. Or at least it did for me today. So don’t feel like you have to get 2, and just go to self checkout if they’re weird about it and it should still ring up at 50% off. Or order online and do store pickup with an odd number and I bet that would work too.

Thank you so much for the heads up about this sale! We ended up getting 8 gallons for some upcoming big painting projects (we bought them untinted and will just go get them tinted when ready to paint) and it saved us about $115. So much better to paint a big chunk of your house for $120 instead of $235!! My parents are repainting their entire main level, and we’ll be taking advantage of this deal for them as well. It will save them a TON! Thank you! My only disappointment is that this line doesn’t come in Satin finish, so we’ll be using semi-gloss instead, and it definitely isn’t my first preference for paint sheen.

I went to Lowes and they said that this is not an offer today.

    • Susie

I see Megan’s comment above. I should have tried!

We are painting some custom shelves for several closets in our new house, and this semi-gloss paint was a great deal. A Lowe’s employee assisted us as we were browsing and informed us that if we purchased just one gallon, it would ring up 50%. Another employee who tinted the paint for us gave us a tip: she said if we only used a small amount, to hammer the top on really well and store the leftover paint in the house. She said it would keep for about two years as long as it wasn’t stored in the garage or attic.
