I think Target corrected their system to give the cartwheel discount after other coupons. I tried to give cartwheel before and after q’s recently and the result was the same… It gave the discount after manu coupons…. anybody else notice this??
Cartwheel is BEFORE manufacturer coupons and After Target coupons..no matter what order.
When Cartwheel was new, scanning first froze the system, hence why some take it after all coupons.
At least that’s how it was a few weeks ago.
I think Target receipts are really confusing to begin with! It looks like the way everything lines up, that manuf is deducted first, but that’s not how CW calculates.
It really doesn’t matter at which point Cartwheel is scanned. Like shopper said, when it was new, it was best to have the barcode scanned last, otherwise the register would freeze. That has since been fixed. So even if you give CW first, then Target q’s, then manuf q’s (or CW, MQ’s, then TQ’s), the register will always deduct Target coupons first, then the CW % off. Target q’s automatically reduce the price of the item, that is why CW deducts after Target q’s, not before. Manuf coupons do not matter at all in how CW calculates.
From my purchase yesterday:
Barilla (pronto) $1.25
MFR Coupon $0.75-
Cartwheel 10% off $1.39
So even though it looks like the Manuf is deducted first, 10% of $1.39 = $0.14, which brings it to $1.25, then I saved $0.75, making my final cost $0.50.
I bought the caramel and it’s good!

I bought 3 the other day and I used cartwheel. Does anyone know if I buy 3 more, if I use cartwheel, will it only apply to 1 of them since it’s up to 4? Or will it apply to all 3 again?
Yes, if you buy 3 drinks, the Cartwheel discount will apply to all 3. Cartwheel will apply to 4 products per transaction and there is a limit of 6 Cartwheel transactions per day so technically you could get a Cartwheel discount on 24 drinks in the same day if you bought 4 at a time.
