   Thanks for the early match ups Colin. For the Colgate tooth paste deal, I printed 2 coupons… Printed once, went back and searched coupons.com and selected Colgate and printed again.. Both the barcodes are the same. I printed from another computer and the barcode was still the same. Is it ok to use the coupon twice? I remember in the past the barcode used to be different each time..has something changed on the coupon policy? Thanks in advance for your responses.

  The barcode stays the same, because that’s what’s used to identify the items you purchase. What changes is the coupon number. Hrs

  Ask your store manager if they will still accept it (explain that you weren’t around a CVS to use it). Most stores take expired bucks if you ask. If not, call CS, they should be able to resend the ecb.

  I’m a Supervisor at CVS. Cvs Just updated there coupon policy we are no longer aloud to take expired ECB’s, even if its only 1 day expired. However if you call 1-800-SHOP-CVS they will gladly resend you a replacement ECB. You earned them they want you to spend them. With any Expired ECB’s no matter how old. You can call the customer service number and get a replacement as many times as you need. Most people forget they even have them. Hopefully this helped.

  I don’t recall an update to the policy, AFAIK, it’s always stated they don’t accept expired coupons? I was told when I called CS, any bucks earned through the weekly ad, cannot be resent anymore. The rep said they have a new system and now only pharmacy rewards, beauty & quarterly bucks can be resent. (Although I have read on here, others have had luck getting ECBs resent. I could have gotten a dud rep?) She’s the one that suggested I speak to the manager. He did take it, but said it was a “one time thing”. That manager got transferred to another store and the manager now, will take them up to 14 days, even expired coupon from the scanner. So it’s a really big YMMV, it seems to be up to each store manager’s discretion.

    For the floss deal I would take my coupons and go to the dollar tree. I normally find the floss there for only a dollar do it’s free after coupon!

  Those coupons don’t follow the 98% rule, it has to be $30 or more. YMMV if cashier will push it through.

    I should know this, but I have a question that I am hoping one of you can help me with- I have a $4 off $14 toothpaste and floss coupon as well as a $5 off $15 purchase coupon. Can both be used on a $15 purchase, or would I have to spend $29 in order to use both? I appreciate your clarification!

  In my experience you can use it both on a $15 purchase. The $4/$14 is specific coupon for toothpaste and floss while the $5/$15 is for the whole purchase. Register didn’t beep also if that helps.

  You’d have to spend $29 😫, if you read the bottom of the coupon, it explains that only one “X off X” can be used with each purchase. Sorry (yeah- I wish it were the other way too 😉)

  I just got back. The cashier (at a very coupon friendly store) said that it they were both paper coupons it most likely wouldn’t work, but since they were loaded on my card they would work. They did. I used $4 off $14 dental and $5 off $15 general. I had a second transaction anyways, so ultimately it didn’t matter. Good for future reference though.

    For the listerene floss deal, I would suggest the following: purchase 2 that Collin listed, not 4 and then purchase one of the flosses that are slightly more expensive such as the whitening floss. They were 3.79 at my store. A lot of the floss had $1 coupons on them too.

    I bought 2 charmin ultra $9.99 each and three pantene 3/$12 but did not generate the $10ecb plus i used $1 cvs c $5 mfc n $1 mfc plus a gift card total was $27.77 but it says i need 10.02 to earn reward y? Does any one have an idea y?

    I just did the plantene deal. Shouldn’t the shampoo and gel count towards the beauty club? It’s does say hair products?? Also some items trigger and some do not I bought 6 shampoos and 2 gels 8×4=32 had to be manually triggered

    Pantene not tracking ! My friend said it didn’t track! I had a 5/35 diapers CRT bougt 4 bags used 2 3/2 pg got my bucks! No propel water in store, got the gatorate the 2 Nivea body washes with CRT and 2 of 1 manuf coupons, and got a CRT for razors 3/10 used with 3 off 1 Venus razors got 3 of them great deals!

    The 30$ P&G deal with the Pampers is that the same ECb deal I did a few weeks ago with the pampers and Huggies? It was spend 30$ and get 10$ ecb but I can’t remember if it was a P&G ecb deal or an ecb deal w just the diapers. It was a limit 1 so I want to make sure if I do the P&G deal I get another 10$ ecb

    For 4.99 each but , if I buy 2 there 4.50 each, in my case, I bought 4 using the 2 dlr coupon of each and got my bucks! I did the deal last week, and still tracking , the p&g deal buy 30 get $10 back it’s a different deal this week buy 30 get 10, so, Erica you can buy again , at bottom
    Of receipt it will say reached limit p&g

    Has anyone else had trouble using the CeraVe coupons at CVS? I had coupons mailed to me with free samples, internet coupons & one from newspaper. None would scan and cashier said she couldn’t overrride.

  I still had the $6 off cevare coupon printed a while back. Like in April. It’s expiring today. So I thought I would go to cvs and get the deal. My coupons wouldn’t scan. The manager pushed 4 through for the 1st transaction. After getting back $10 from buying $30 I went back for another transaction. This time, the manager was rude and unhappy. He told me that he will not accept coupons like these next time and that he will have to verify the coupons I gave him. He also said that he didn’t believe they can get their money back since the coupons won’t scan.

  Anyway, I got 3 moisturizer, 1 pm lotion and 2 cleansing bars for a little over $12.

  Won’t go back to cvs they are so coupon unfriendly. I won’t have had this trouble if I were at target

  Strange about the rude cashiers and manager. I’m new to couponing, but have found CVS to be the friendliest and lenient toward coupon from the drugstores. Rite Aid on the other hand…I can’t believe I used to be a loyal Rite Aid customer, and even worked for them at some point.

  Anyway, back to the original comment. The CeraVe didn’t work for me either, but they pushed it through. I used two of the $6 and two of the $2 coupons. A line was starting to form behind me, and they just did my order on the counter. Does anyone know if a coupon that says not applicable to trial sized can still be used on travel sizes?

    My pantene ECB didn’t print out either. I followed the scenario, bought 8 pantene shampoos and conditioners for $32, used 2 -$5/3 and I had 1 $3/2 which brought my total down to $19. Spoke to the manager and she told me that the coupons I used count against you in this ECB purchase. “The register only sees that you spent $19 towards the $30 needed”. Bummer! :-/

  You were given wrong info..to receive the ECB it triggers before coupons. Is pantene tracking on your receipt? Sounds like not every product is coded to track, which is a CVS system error.

    @shopper, not sure what tracking on my receipt means but my receipt shows “pantene” for each bottle. However I just noticed on the bottom of my receipt it shows amount towards this reward $12, amount needed to earn reward $18. This doesn’t add up because I only used $13 in coupons. Any suggestions out there friends?

  Tracking is at the bottom of receipt..where you were looking with spend amounts. The spent amount should be before coupons. Some of your items aren’t in the system correctly. If you have another store see what they say or contact customer service with receipt number, store number, date, they can take a look and issue the bucks.

    I’m gearing up for my first CVS haul, but am having trouble understanding how moneymakers and overages work. Can someone explain them to me?

    Example scenario: CVS has the Always Discreet liners on sale for 4.99 each. I plan on buying two, combining them with two $3.00 off coupons, as suggest in the ad, but also has a $5.00 CVS Coupon for $5.00 off two liners, making the liners free. Will I have a negative balance of $1.02 that I can apply to other items? Or will it just be adjusted down to zero? Also, does it matter in what order I present the coupons?

    Hi Chloe. You should have a negative balance that will be applied to another item on your order. In my experience, it has never been adjusted to zero. That’s what makes such great deals at CVS. You can actually profit off some items and bring your total down. 🙂 I would present the CVS coupons first, followed by the manufacturer’s coupon. HTH 🙂
