    • Stormy

      Same here!

Collin and other hip2savers, there’s a crazy *HOT* deal on these PaperMate Clear Point Mechanical Pencils just by price matching! They’re normally around $7 and you score them for ONLY $0.40 just by price matching at your local Staples! Staples will 110% price match OfficeMax/Office Depot’s sale price of $1 this week (bring in your local ad). and give you 10% of the difference in prices or $6 = 60¢, making it only $0.40! WOW!

    • kim

      Didnt work at mine 🙁

      • Dapper Deals

what do you mean by it didnt work?

        • Joy

Price matching doesn’t work like that at my local Staples either. I was just in there price matching today and I wasn’t given any additional discounts. Are your stores in near location to each other? Maybe that’s why they do that, because my stores are miles apart and I’ve never heard of that.

          • Tia

Staples® Back to School 110% Price Match Guarantee valid 6/28/15–9/19/15. If you find a currently available lower price on a new, identical item, show us the lower price when you buy the item at Staples and we will match it plus will discount it by 10% of the difference.

        • Kim

Went to one close to each other and had no problems even got the sharpies for 90¢.

          • Jane

yea it’s in the ad for 110% price match guarantee so it should work as tia mentioned

          • Carolyn

Got a ream of paper, their $.75 erasers and price matched the pencils today and they did their 110% price match, but totally forgot about the sharpies!! Guess I’ll make another run 🙂

  4. Sarah

Oh, I also matched some of the Staples deal at office depot without any problems..

  5. Cherri

I went to Office Max for these deals yesterday. Thankfully they had been posted here as the penny deals weren’t in the flyer in the store or marked in store. Several of the .25 deals were also not marked. I had to have a couple of things adjusted as they were rung up, and then before I left I reviewed my receipt and found three things weren’t rung correctly and had to be adjusted. Watch your receipts!

  6. Becky

I got 3 packs of the pencils, 1 Sharpie pack, and one mini stapler plus the penny deals. I LOVE this time of year.

    • Kristy

Me too!!! I stock up for the entire year! I might have to do this again this week!

  7. Jaci

Thanks for talking about this went there earlier and did similar deal! You should also repost your school supply price point

  8. Tracy

Just tried this most stuff is sold out.

    • Kim

Most stores price match and have identical items

  9. nicole

Check before you go, almost all of the items were out of stock at my office max.

  10. Rachel

Nicole and Tracy where are you ladies from?

    • betty

      Wow!

  11. Barbara

Staples had some great deals but some were not marked crayola 24 pack .50… .25 for one subject note books…1.00 for colored pencils. Four glue sticks for 1.00. And more. I got all the items on my daughters list for around $20 maybe to some not a great deal but her list is large and brand specific

  12. Annie

Great time to start picking up items for Operation Christmas Child boxes!

    • Kristen

Just what I said!!! Great price for little fillers

  13. Joy

LOL. Shool just ended 2 weeks ago here in NY state.

    • Joy

      I meant school. 🙂

  14. Heather

We are in school year round here, so supplies are always needed!

  15. Stormy

Took advantage of these deals Sunday, my store was fully stocked and all the items I bought had retails near $60.

  16. Julie

Just went for this deal and was told the pencils included were the ones that were both blue pencils. No other colors, but I see you got other colors. Had a hard time hitting $5 because it was all gone. Frustrated with this sale. Anybody else have issues with pencils.

    • Dapper Deals

shouldnt be the both blue ones, they will all scan for $1. in fact, none of the ones at my store were both blue lol

    • Kim

Both staples and office depot/max only have two different colors together. Should come up automatically not something they can say (unless price matching at staples).

    • Denise

The $1 sale is ONLY on the .07mm pencils, not the .05 or .09mm ones. That I know as a fact as the Office Max manager and I matched the UPC when we had my .05 ring up full price.

  17. Peever

I just got back and thankfully there was plenty of everything. Great deals, although I can’t believe they’re starting the back-to-school stuff this early!

  18. Momof2

Question…… When it says limit 3 is that per transaction/day, or per savings card. If I bought all my limit is today, can I go back later this week and buy more, or will my office max card track it and not give me the discounted price?

    • Dawn

At my Office Depot, it was per transaction. I split up my purchases into 3. Each purchase had $5 worth of items along with the penny deals. The manager said I could come back again to buy more…if there were any left. 😃

    • Kim

Actually says limit 3 pr household. Not per day or transaction just total. You might get lucky with a good manager though.

  19. Rose

So sad the kids have to see school items so soon after school just ended 😉

    • Jennifer

Here in south Alabama, out kids have been out since the 2nd week of May!! I’m so ready for August 12th, when they go back!! They miss their structured schedule!!

  20. Stefanie

Just called my local store and they said limit for teachers is the same as for everyone else. I was hoping it would be higher. Ugh! 🙁

  21. Lisa

Last year, I had to find the office Max in town that did not sell out of the deals as quickly…
It’s obvious which store gets more business, and I made a point to always go on Sundays.

  22. Catie

Anyone know how the penny erasers are? Do they leave streaks when you try to erase? I opted against then when I went yesterday because I wasn’t sure…

  23. Rita

Watch the quality, yes it may be a great deal but markers especially aren’t going to last long.
