I have been looking through all the Lightning Deals and can’t find any movies (press release says there will be 75% off DVDs available). Also, the televisions and Chromebook laptop aren’t showing up as upcoming deals or past deals that I can find. Just wondering if they are still going to be discounted or if I’m not understanding how the whole Prime deals thing works today? 🙂 Hoping that not of the upcoming deals are showing already or something? Thanks for your help!

So far not impressed with what has been available thus far. Lots of hype from Amazon on this and not really any “deals”. Even stuff that I have seen–I have seen it posted here cheaper on Amazon than what it is being offered today.
Ok, so it’s not just me. I was going through the prices and thinking, where’s the sale? The Kindle sale is a good one and the baby wipes but that’s it so far for me.
It seems to be a lot of stuff they have had on lightening deals before. Also, the prices don’t seem to be that great – some prices are only 5 or 6 percent off.
Thank you. I’ve been going through the deals and not much of anything we want or need. Though the discount for using an Amazon card on $100 purchase is making buying pet food easier this month. And the discount on gift cards. Otherwise, I could probably pass on the whole thing and WalMart’s deals are not any better.
Alot of prices are more expensive then I’ve paid before on lightning deals. But what counts is their products I guess which if I’m not mistaken are at their lowest price or very close to it.
I agree. I’m so glad I didn’t pay for a prime membership. Perhaps that was their intention when hyping the sale??
The Kindles are good prices but is anything else really that great? This is not the sale I was expecting

This sale is extremely disappointing. This is definitely not better than black Friday if a price drops by $4. What a waste of time!

As soon as things go live they are sold out in less than a minute and you have to go on a waiting list. I’ve been up for four hours trying to get in on some of the toys and haven’t gotten any yet. I think people are adding to their carts ahead of time and checking out as soon as items go live.
That happened to me too. Within seconds of going live the item I wanted was gone and I was wait listed. Total bummer.
Wow, so far huge disappointment!
I did find some great deals on the Our Generation outfits on the Target website. Some of the four outfit bundles are $23.99 making them less than $6.00 per outfit with the RedCard. Not as good as December when it’s $15.00 a bundle but still a great deal and savings if you have upcoming birthdays. I snagged a few of those this morning.
I got a 3-pack of Amazon $15 gift cards for $45, and it comes with a $10 promotion code on a future Amazon purchase.

The beauty purchase deal is good as is the wipes deal but I’m mad, no fire stick. They read our comments and said, wow, we will lose way too much $$ on our exclusive fire stick, we are idiots, better not include it .
They are going to as a lightning deal, it just hasn’t come available yet.
I’m just amazed at how many items were already 100% claimed only 4 MINUTES into the selling period. Looks like I’ll be missing out on all the deals, since I can’t possibly add stuff to my cart that quickly with a 1 year old climbing all over me 😉

Everything I have tried to purchase has been claimed within seconds. Nothing exciting just a few games. This is lame lame lame.

Remember that Walmart will match Amazon Prime deals.
Word of warning – items that I had in my cart became unavailable before the time to purchase the deal ran out. I had 10 minutes or so left on a few items and when I clicked to return to my cart it said they were unavailable from the seller. Then, the item page said the deal was 100% claimed. So, if you really want something I would complete your purchase quickly before the item is no longer available.

Coming up in less then an hour, all the skylanders traps are going on sale. I missed out on the tablet game for only $14 which I was bummed about. I know there are alot of mom’s with skylanders obsessed kids like mine, so any deal on those are great!

yep. I kept getting booted off waiting lists. I “chatted” and they told me that I was the only one having that problem, and it was just me. They wouldn’t do anything about it. SO FRUSTRATING!
I was beyond frustrated. Kindles that were 98% claimed I could not add to my cart, and I kept getting booted from all waiting lists until the deal was over. Really needed a Kindle for my kiddo who lost his while we were on vacation last week and is totally bummed over it. 🙁
Got my 16gb kindle at 5 am eastern. They went quick. Rest of sale is bummer
