Awesome, thanks! These came to $9.55 for me because I have at least 5 subscriptions. I love Larabars!!!

      Woo Hoo! 😀

They just compared Lara and Clif bars, on Good Morning America, as healthy as Kit Kat bars and Reese’s Peanut Butter Cups with an egg white.

    • Mollie

That doesn’t seem like a fair comparison. They are simply made of pure fruit and nut! I love them and so does my almost two-year old. I consider the nutritional specs far better than candy or a starchy snack.

They are all natural and contain fruit and nuts. If you get the chocolate ones, of course they will have chocolate in them, but I highly doubt they are “as healthy as a kitkat”, considering all the artificial nastiness that is in that candy. Plus, there are more vitamins, minerals, protein, etc in these bars than any candy.

I think larabar’s response was totally appropriate. As a runner, and a mom with 4 kids, I would totally choose the larabar as a healthier alternative to the kitkat. Like Larabar stated, which of these individual ingredients would a nutritionist not recommend. Sugar/carbs/fats are not sinister little monsters. We need them for out bodies to work properly. All in moderation, with regards to you activity level.

Thanks for sharing, but it disappoints me that they didn’t address where the fat and sugar come from. I can’t speak for that particular flavor, but the kinds we get are just nuts and dates. There is a BIG difference in where the fats and sugar come from. Still, you shouldn’t eat 20 of them… But our bodies need the healthy fats that are in nuts and seeds and there is natural sugar in fruit. There is nothing in a kit kat that is healthy.

Just an FYI…Big Lots carries several different flavors of Larabars at $8 per 16-pack. If you shop on the 20% off day, they cost $6.20 per box. I normally stock up on that day.

    • Gracie💚

Seriously?! Wow great to know. Thanks Melissa!

    • Melissa

Oops! I mistyped. Should be $6.40 per 16-pack, so only $0.40 per bar.
