Anyone have purchased this item before ? How exactly does it work ? Do I need to update on computer , data plan etc

My son has one now. Yes you have to plug in to the computer and dl the leap frog app to do settings and things like that. You also plug in to computer to charge

No data plan. Just a fun kid version of a fitbit there are activities they do to earn joules to get more pets and such.

I got this for my kids last year for Christmas, it’s okay, the battery dies pretty quickly so I constantly had to charge it. My kids are over it now though

I got one of these for my daughters 5th bday–2 days ago–when they were on sale for $15. She ❤️’s it and her brothers think it’s kind of cool, too. Great price!

Is this “too pink” for a boy? Personally I think all colors are gender neutral but my brother in law might not like me getting pink for my nephew.

I think the blue or green was the same price earlier today on Amazon (around $14-$15). If you keep an eye on them for the next few days, you can probably catch them at that price again.

I got one for MY 5 year old son, but personally I wouldn’t get a pink one for my nephew. My son loves it though and doesn’t care that it is pink and neither does his daddy and I love that it encourages him to move around and use up some of that energy he always seems to have.

My five and a half year old just received one and has been thoroughly enjoying it. She’s playing with it nonstop since she received it. What’s great is that there’s no batteries to buy, you charge it on a USB cable. We have one in our cable box. So it’s easy to do. There’s just one initial set up. After that,there’s no need to go on the computer. Hth. For $10 it’s definitely worth it! Even for $20 id say gift it to any 4-6.5 year old.

My local Target had pink and green (I believe) on clearance. They were around $9 and 50% off.

Neither place has them for the sale price listed. I just checked Amazon and they are $24.95 and Barnes and Noble has them for $69.95
