Hi Hip2Save family! I got this text from my husband showing off his coupon skills when he went to the grocery store by himself to pick up a grillable item for a BBQ. He still rolls his eyes at my couponing every once in a while (it’s been 7 years now), but deep down I know he loves it. This is proof! I wish you happy, healthy, frugal days ahead!

This is great. I love it when spouses pretend they don’t like coupons but deep down they love them just as much as we do!!!! Who doesn’t like to save money?

Lol love it. My husband gets so annoyed when I want to use coupons or grab a deal. He’d rather pay full price! I hope one day I get a text like this!

When i met my husband i asked him if he wanted a coupon and he laughed and said men don’t use coupons. Well that was 7 years ago now he won’t buy certain things if i don’t have a coupon. I’ve trained him well……. proud wife. Now I’m working on my 17 yr old daughter
My husband is now the same way. Yes he still eye rolls from time to time but most times he won’t buy anything without asking if I have a coupon for it. Love it!
Give her a few years. I started couponing when I was 19 or 20.

My hubby acts like I’m crazy, but when I got preggo and couldn’t coupon or look at food or a grocery store (morning sickness!), he realized how important couponing is! Ha! He couldn’t wait for me to jump back in!
My husband was the same way! It’s so funny how when we stop and they see how much we saved they want us to use coupons again!
This is great! My husband isn’t opposed to coupons, he just never does the shopping. I think one time he picked up Benadryl for me & said he compared sizes & prices to get the best deal, so I take that as a win lol.
same here. Shopping is my thing in our household. But when he stop to buy bread or milk he always bring blinky coupons;-)
My poor husband calls me before buying most things to make sure there isn’t a coupon because he know s if he comes home and didn’t use one I’ll be bummed out

Lol my hubby eye rolls too! I sent him to the store once with a coupon and a detailed note what to get and the price of the item. He came back with the wrong one but he did use the coupon. Haha
I love it! My husband hated when I would use coupons so after I gave birth I stopped and my son is going on 9 months and I’m down to my last 2 boxes of diapers and he’s like you have to start couponing again because we saved a lot! Lol
Cute!! My hubby got back from the store last night and showed me the receipt as he boasted … “Look! I saved 29%!” LOL 🙂

Too cute! Same hubby here…I’ve couponed for 4 years now (thanks, hip2save), and the hubby will call to make sure I don’t have coupons/deals for something if he’s stopping at a store unexpectedly.

My husband has really got into couponing even though he does not do a lot of the shopping but I was really dumb founded the other day when he went to Target to get the balance bars with the 50% cartwheel(he goes through a lot of these). He called me because he saw a $1 coupon on the box and asked if he could use it while in store. I said he would have to open the box and rip it out and it is not something I would personally do and just use them next trip but he did rip them out and did 4 seperate transactions. He explained to the cashier what he did and she was like “ok”. So he paid $1.65 per box. So sometime my husband is worse than me, lol.
I remember when my mom taught me about couponing. She said my dad was so embarrassed (because he was an air force officer and she would use them at the commissary where everyone would know). She kept using them, but would take the money equal to what she saved and put it in a private savings account. After 5 years she had saved $10k and used it to start her own business!! I’m so proud and inspired by her, and my dad was too, he came around and uses the coupons when we give them to him now!
I should note, my own hubby just wigged out when I tried to whip out my phone and pull up the text from Chipotle last night. Still working on him!! Kudos to your hubbies!!!
I just started couponing and my hubby and I both team up and coupon together! He isn’t embarrassed at all & considering he’s 25 and I am 20. He’s very supportive and lets me know if he finds any additional deals! 🙂
My husband wasn’t into couponing until he saw a coupon for a welder … now, he thinks it is great
Oh Yeah Judy, same here, now that my husband shops online at Grainger, Lowes; etc, and I showed him how to do a search for online coupon codes or coupons, Ebates and all, he saw how his total drops after putting in codes and was very happy…. he is loving the tool store coupons/deals.
hahaha! mine is the same way. he coupons for his tools and man things now lol ive even taught him how to search for promo codes and how to use ebates since were big online shoppers. 🙂 he has to make a point to show me how much he saved.
Great job Joel.. you go Lauren for training him well…. I always praise men in the stores when it’s triples or super doubles and they have not only coupons, but I have seen a couple with small binders. WOW! love it.. I won’t say my husband will do ANY of that… hahaha.. but when it’s super doubles at HT, he will say to me.. “babe, give me 20 coupons that WON’T BEEP, and I will do a run for YOU after work today”. OH my Atlanta too cute.. Aren’t they just the most precious little darlings ever?” :-)~ But if he gets one that beeps or the line is held up for ANY reason, he will come home and I will surely hear it. One thing he does like is the pantry, HBA cabinet and linen closet(that doesn’t have much room for linens at all) runs out of something…which it has happened a few times. He will come to me and say something like.. “babe, we are out of XYZ, when are they doing super doubles again”? Or he comes back with a pocket wadded up with coupons he found in the store and he places them on the counter for me to see like one of the cats when they bring you a (not so pleasant) present 🙂
Ha ha. Mine is starting to coupon too! Today he used a $3 off murphy pizza coupon and text a code to get a free thing of cookie dough..then hours later he was shaking his head at me for spending 5 hours str8 organizing my coupon binder. Lol
