Store Coupons/Restaurant Deals:

CVS: Tip from reader Lamorenagordis – “I just received this booklet from CVS and it has many coupons, including this for Caliber products… hope your Hip2Save readers received one too!”

Big Lots: Tip from reader Swati – “My son has to take 36 glue sticks to school this year and everywhere I went (Target, Walmart, Dollar Tree, etc.), the cheapest glue stick deal I found was $0.25/glue stick. But today I went to Big Lots and found a pack of 15 glue sticks for just $2. I really thought that was an awesome deal, with one glue stick coming out to approximately 13¢.”

Biggby Coffee: Now through Tuesday July 28th, buy any grande or super specialty drink you will get one FREE. Or you can save $1.00 off any grande or specialty drink.

HyVee: Tip from reader Rachael – “Select Mars brand novelty ice cream packs are 3/$10 right now with a $5 gift card back plus I was still able to print the $1/1 Mars brand ice cream coupon from Coupons.com yesterday. Its like paying $2 for three boxes after you use 3 of the manufacturer coupons. As a plus I was able to find boxes that had $2 in manufacturer’s coupons inside the box and one of the coupons was $1/2 Mars ice cream products.”

Sam’s Club: Tip from reader Robyn – “I just came home from Sam’s Club – I finally activated my membership from the Groupon deal you posted a month or two back. I was excited to use the coupons for free salsa, 8-pk of cupcakes and a rotisserie chicken…but was even more pleasantly surprised to see that they had freebies in their phone app as well! There was an offer for (another) free rotisserie chicken and a free take & bake pizza! Another great coupon in the app – $4 off 3lbs of grapes (which were priced at $4.98 – making them just $0.98!). Buying a few other items, also using the $20 gift card that came with the Groupon deal, we walked away spending just $6 out of pocket!  I’ll be sure to check the app monthly because it seems they have different deals every month — hopefully more freebies too!”

CVS/Target: Tip from reader Cherie – “The Starbucks iced coffees are on sale at CVS this week for $1.50. I purchased one, used the $1/1 coupon, $1/1 Ibotta, and it’s on Mobisave for $0.75 = total profit of $1.25!”

JCPenney: Tip from reader Kathryn – “I noticed the back of my recent JCPenny ad (folded in half mailer) had a mention of July 16th-August 15th, get a $10 off $10 bonus cash coupon when you purchase $75 in JCPenney gift cards… see store associate for details.”

Swati i would not purchase 36 glue sticks! You need to question the teacher why would one child need 36 glue sticks! I work at a school and at the end of school year and through out the summer the dumpster would be loaded up with stuff that the parents brought their children. Just a couple of weeks ago i found a battery charger that looked like it was brand new and 24 rechargeable double A batteries and 8 rechargeable C batteries in the dumpster and a whole lot of other stuff. There be times we would find food in the dumpster (packages & cans) that still had a non expiried experation date on it. We would find pencils, glue, crayons, scissors and books and some of the stuff be new. I didn’t know scissors where disposable! I started working for the school system in 2006 when my daughter was in the 4th grade, every since the 5th grade i stopped buying all that stuff on the supply list and some of the teachers would say don’t put no name on the supplies and i would write my daugther name on everything, if i bought a box of 24 count crayons i would put her name on all 24 crayons I PAID FOR!!! I didn’t want my daugther sharing. Thats way children always catching something, everybody don’t wash their hands. My daughter might of miss about 6 days of school (elementary and middle) no days miss in high school. When she was in the 11th grade one of her teacher had a 3″ binder on his supply list and when i saw how big a 1 and 1 and half inch binder looked like i said he must be crazy ( thats what i say about the 36 glue sticks ) Who do he think gonna carry that big binder! No i did not buy it. Most of those supply list are standard you need to wait and talk to your child teacher too see what they need for class!
