I bought this iron set when it was on clearance at Target after Christmas for only $35ish dollars. It works really well and heats up very quick! Love it! Has a SUPER long cord which is nice too.

Does anyone know if these have automatic shut off? I have a bad habit of forgetting to turn mine off and don’t want any fire problems πŸ™‚

    • Becky

The Chi that I have does not have an automatic shut off

    • Helen

Ive never heard of an automatic shutoff with a flat iron

      • Swirlypop

Mine also has automatic shut off.

      • TS

Funny, I have never seen a flat iron or curling wand with out an automatic shutoff.

The Remington I use now has it but I want to switch to Chi. I may be out of luck. The ones I looked at in ulta didn’t have it either.

You can buy a thing to plug into the outlet (that you then plug your device into) that has a timer then shuts off. My mom has a bad habit of leaving the iron on so she uses one of those.

Thanks! I’ve been holding off for so long! My straightner has seen better days, time to upgrade πŸ™‚

I have never heard of ebay target…anyone know if it’s legit and if items are actually sold by target?

    • Leslie

They are Target selling on Ebay (to get more exposure). However if you have any issues you have to return through Ebay and not the store. Mostly they are trying to get ride of items they couldn’t sell on clearance or have a surplus of. Stores usually do this to see how much $ they can get before sending items to Goodwill.

      • Kiz

It clearly states on the eBay page that you can return items to target stores and they will give you cash back as they can’t refund through PayPal.

Can you adjust the heat settings in this one?

  6. Lori

I bought my straightener at ultra it’s a crock it’s worth the extra money verses a chi they are not as good as they used to be. My crock has digital heat settings and auto shut off and a swivel cord that’s long also made out of titanium. As often as I drop my iron I couldn’t imagine having ceramic. I would check reviews before buying a chi that’s why I didn’t get one
