Thank you! My son went for the first time this month and had a blast!!!

      They’re so fun! 🙂

FYI it seems they changed age limits. I received a message that ages 3-5 will no longer be allowed to register due to poor building experience. We went yesterday and it was a bit fast paced for my 4 year old, but she still had fun with my help:)

    • Sandy

Got the message too…kinda upset. My 4 yr old has been going to a few of these events and always loved it. It’s going to be hard for her to watch her sister do it and not being able to participate anymore.

Change the date of birth like I did for my 5yo!!

is this always weekday in the morning? If kids 6-12 are the age range how are they supposed to attend if school is back in session?

    • Michelle W

      My store is afternoon/evenings

    • Mel M

      Late afternoon, early evening

Thanks! Love that you can sign up for specific times now. I’ve never taken my boys because the Lego store is over 30 miles from my house and I wasn’t going to drive all that way to stand in a line and have them run out before my boys got in.

I just changed the date to make my son a year older. He’s 5 3/4’s. That is a lame age restriction.

    • Megan

This occurs a week before my son’s 6th birthday. He *may* appear as a month older on the registration form this month.

Is it just me or does this diver look like a Minion that just had a Botox injection? 😳

It runs until about 7 pm. I am a big fan of the online sign up. I was constantly rushing home, getting the kids and turning around only to find out that they ran out. This is much better. I was also told that so long as you are signed up, even if you miss your time window, they will have a kit set aside for you. Just really better run than the line chaos. I know that the employees I talked with this week were really happy with the changed format too.

I’m so excited we got signed up for this month. Woo hoo!! I’m a fan of assigned time-slots. Makes it so much nicer. I can’t make my kids wait in a line for a “maybe” experience that’s that short. But excited for a 1-on-1 “date” with my oldest (my younger 2 don’t make the cutoff and I actually think it’s ok…Altho realistically they should lower it to 5) thanks for reminding us to sign up!!

Event is already at capacity in my area. Seems to have filled up pretty fast.

    • Collin (Mrs. Hip)

      Bummer 🙁

    • Kathryn Meyer

It fills up SUPER fast! If I don’t set my alarm for the minute it opens we don’t get it 🙁

I have to change my kids age to reserve a spot
Do you thinks I’m gonna have any problem? I don’t need to show any id for them?

    • Mel M

No they don’t require an id for the kid

  11. B

I can’t believe how comfortable people are with lying so that their kid can take from another who is actually following the rules. I doubt you’d be for people changing ages if it meant your kid couldn’t participate. “It’s wrong even if everybody is doing it. It’s right even if nobody is doing it.”

    • Angela

Most of the Lego store I know does not have a strict enforcement on the age limit ever since the mini build event started back in 2009. I am a bit offended by the language “ages 3-5 will no longer be allowed to register due to poor building experience” because they have quite a bit of Lego set selection that is more complicated than the mini build and they are design for younger than 6 years old.
