Happy Friday: Thank You Text

Last night, I unexpectedly had to work late which in turn made me cancel date night with my boyfriend. I was bummed and felt bad for canceling at the last minute…but then I had an idea that I thought might more than make up for it! Thanks to you – I got both a Redbox free rental code and a free Dominos pizza, and figured I’d gift both to my boyfriend! I pre-ordered both the pizza and reserved a movie that he had been wanting to see (and quite honestly I had been dreading seeing – bonus that I didn’t have to watch it. LOL!). Both Dominos & the Redbox are in walking distance from his apartment – so I sent him an apology text about canceling and also “instructions” where to pick up the pizza & movie. He was pretty excited about both and sent me the pic above while I was still stuck at work. It sucked having to work late and miss out on our date, but you sure made me happy to get that text. Thanks for making me look good Collin! 🙂

I wondered the same thing. But I don’t use redbox that much. And did I miss a free dominoes pizza? Very thoughtful idea tho!

But when you reserve it you have to give a credit card info and then use the same cc to pick up the movie. Wonder how she did it. Was thinking of doing this for my parents who live out of states

I usually prepay my pizza online and then my hubby picks the pizza …no problems…

Hi there,
I need to do something for my husband. We are disabled and he tries the best he can to get around. We’ve not been able to go anywhere to eat or barely even buy groceries. I have lost 20lbs. And he has lost about 50lbs. We needed to lose some weight but the reason I would love to do something for him. We go to Church and he plays the base he has sciatica and a severed nerve with several deterioration of his lunar disc. He tells me he feels useless and that is far from the truth he stands on the podium for two hours standing on Sunday morning and then about three on Tuesday night. He loves God and does this for him but when he comes down the stairs you can see the pain in his face. Then we sit to hear the preaching and both of us have bad disc in our back and that is painful. He then gets back up at the end of each service and plays again for several minutes and then n packs his gear up.and we leave. He is in so much pain he never smiles anymore and we can’t afford to go out or anywhere. I am not asking anything of you if any of you are Christians just please pray for us for we are $800 in the hole every month. I am just asking you to pray that he meets the need even more than that I ask that he is healed, well no I know he is healed it just hasn’t manifested in the flesh. I guess I just want him to smile again and I can’t afford to pay for a night out. Just a card to let him know how special he is. Thank you and be blessed.

Robyn, that was such a thoughtful and creative idea. It sounds like he is a lucky guy to have you. It feels great to be able to cheer people up, and it’s even better when it’s free! I don’t think I have paid for a Redbox rental in the past year…there is just no need to with all the free codes they give out. I have never thought about reserving a movie for someone else using a code. Thanks for the great idea!
