Can i use an ebay gift card to buy gift cards?

    • Naomi

I just did it and order went through. I believe I did it in the past too. For those of you who uses “Gyft” app can purchase $50 eBay GC to save extra $5 with code EBAY50! Sometimes there are grace period for the eBay GC code to be activated (it says about 4hrs) but I was able to use it right away.

Only thing about this is if you have a RedCard you save 5% and if you use a gift card you don’t save any money. So it’s really the same price for the $100 gift card using your RedCard. The $200 gift card, you do save an additional $5.
    Am I correct on this?

    • Cindy

Yes, I was thinking the same thing. Smart!

I was thinking the same thing !

Agreed. $100 GC would only save you 5% which is same as having a Redcard. $200 GC will be 8% so it’s better deal. I also noticed that if you were to use GC in store, 5% Redcard savings won’t apply to GC purchase (if you use Redcard along with it, only the portion you paid in Redcard will give you 5% off) BUT if you use GC online, it would give you 5% savings regardless of the use of Redcard! So I usually save my GC earned and use it only when I make purchase online 🙂

I have a red card and in instances where I’ve used a gift card I’ve asked the cashier to take 5% off my total and they’ve done it without a problem each time.

    I was thinking the same

They can be used together online. Do the initial thing as having a red card. Then at the end, you can switch to gift card to pay.
