I did last time I did this and the # never worked. It said invalid when I tried using it last time and when I called them they didn’t even know what I was talking about when I mentioned a text offer.
But a lot of people have had luck with it so hopefully you do too 🙂

I did too but had no problem using the points online.
You don’t actually need the bar code to use these points. As long as your phone number is associated with your SYW account, they loaded directly onto your account and should show up at checkout.
Last i got it too with zeros, but if you checked your accout should be in there.

Worked like a charm. Texted stop then the code and I got $5 of 5. The barcode was all 0’s but the surprise points were showing when I logged into shop your way. I also got my $5 from fit studio so $10 to spend for me this week! Yeah!

They are loaded as surprise points, and not regular points. Did you check your surprise points??

I got the offer and the weird barcode but I don’t think my cell phone # is associated with my SYR account … wondering how I can do this!!
If it sent you the actual picture saying you should receive $5 then most likely your cell number is associated with your account and it should show when viewing your surprise points. (If your number is not associated it usually texts you back and asks for your e-mail address)
To view your surprise points, log in to shopyourway . com, then click on your picture/name in the right hand corner, then click “See All Surprise Points” and it should tell you you have $5 that expires on 8/18 and has a bunch of restrictions

They have not informed us of the date they will be added yet, but when they let me know I will be sure to send you an e-mail. They are discussing different options for future promotions that may give my clients even more points. So I’m just waiting on their decisions. But again, I’ll be sure to let you know.

Ah i’ve tried 4 times to stop and enter the code. is there some secret or certain way you have to enter it?

It’s also not working on the kids hangers. Usually points like this works on these things. I have bought the bigger size hangers with surprise points similar to this in the past. Anyone else try using their points?
You are completely right – I can’t get them to pull up for any items and they should qualify for all those products because they have the exact terms as the sweeps points… I’m going to contact them because it might just be a technical error they need to fix
Actually I tried to do it on Kmart and it won’t work, but I tried on Sears and it worked perfectly. Maybe try on there???
Thanks. Sears doesn’t sell the kids hangers or the hot glue gun which are the 2 things I wanted. But like you said when I went to Sears website my $5 along with other surpise points I have showed up. But the fine print clearly states valid at Sears or Kmart so I guess I will just wait and see if they fix it.

A bunch of $1.00 wys $1.00 a couple of $3.50 wys 1.00 or more and a couple of $1.00 off wys $2.00 I am not sure what to use these on might see if they will work on dish towels or wash cloths.. lol!!

Weird bar code with all zeros. Logged into account & found the $5 reward exp Aug 18. Surprisingly there was an additional $5 reward exp Aug 19!! (My last login was yesterday night and I had zero rewards).

You can stop the text alert anytime.
Just text “STOP” and that’s it.
I just used mine. I got 3 pair of clearance socks at Sears. Usually I spend $5 surprise point on bath towels, so I can donate to the women’s shelter.
You need to read the fine print and check what’s exclude.
Easy way to think what’s excluded from using the surprise points is the type of stuff you can get from grocery stores.
Like food, cosmetics, beauty items, cleaning supplies, stationary, and pet food and supplies.

I’ve been forever trying to get the $5 in surprise points to apply to anything. I added all kinds of stuff from Kmart.com and it wouldn’t work. I went to Sears.com and added the same thing, a case logic cd wallet, and it worked and oddly gave me to option to pick it up at Kmart.

My girlfriend and I both got the $5 surprise points. Although they showed up in our accounts online, they would not work on anything! There was a long list of exclusions, but it didn’t contain home items or pet supplies. After spending 30 minutes (yes, 30 minutes!) at the register while they tried to use it on a bath mat set, the finally overrode the price and told me to promise not to use them. We ran out of time to use my girlfriend’s, so we went home and tried using them on cat food. Lo and behold, the points did not apply. After another 30 minutes, this time spent chatting to a “support” agent, we learned that the “food” exclusion means, quote: “all foods for dogs, cats, and humans.” We were told to click a link from the surprise points that would show us all non-excluded items, and THEY CONTAINED CAT FOOD! We started another chat session, and this time the agent told us it was because “the threshold is $10”, although the points terms did not say that, and the points also did not work even when I made my order over $10. I had to beg them to push it through.
I swear I have this experience every time I try to buy something at Kmart. I have to allocate 30-60 minutes to checkout alone! And does anyone get the idea that the support agents at kmart.com are really there to make up excuses for why you can’t use a discount? Every time, they make up a lame excuse that ends up being false!
Anyway, my rant is now over. Thank you to anyone who read about my experience. 🙂
