this must be a paid advertisement lol. Never seen you post the same deal 3 times in 18 hours

    • Collin (Mrs. Hip)

I base my decisions to repost deals on the response of readers. Many Hip2Savers expressed excitement over this deal yesterday so I felt it warranted a repost! It ends tonight and I don’t want anyone to miss out!

      • Tracy

Thank you for posting a reminder!

        • Collin (Mrs. Hip)

          You are so welcome!

      • patti

great post!! paid or unpaid. thank you πŸ™‚

      • Mary

I saw this deal yesterday morning and wanted to buy the backpacks but my children needed me and I didn’t do it. I was grateful when I saw it again last night because I had forgotten. Thank you for the reminder!! I have three very excited girls!!

    • Angela H

It’s a really good deal tho. I told several girlfriends with school aged kids and they jumped on it.

  2. Yelena

What size would one get for the elementary school student? Thanks, Yelena

    • Beth

I just ordered based on my cousin’s recommendation – She bought a medium for her tall 6 year old and says her 8 & 9 yo are still using their Mediums from 4 years ago!!. HIH. GREAT price!!!

    • Oshea

I ended up getting my 6th grader a lg. Then, I bought my 2nd grader a medium. I couldn’t resist.

    • jill

They have recommendations by height here: https://www.landsend.com/shop/-/N-k28?cm_re=nav-_-kids-_-featureshop-_-backpack-lunchboxes.

My daughter got a small for Kindergarten last year, and I imagine it will last her through most of elementary school. She doesn’t need to fit a lunch box or boots or anything big inside of it. Just a binder, folders, notebooks, book(s) and such. it is pretty roomy. And on the few occassions that she *Does* bring a lunchbox, there is a clip on the outside of the backpack that will carry the lunchbox.

  3. megan

Are these backpacks small? Alot of the reviews are for prek or kindergarteners. Would they b e too small for bigger kids?

    • Bri

They come in 3 sizes. So you can choose.

    • Yoli

The small is too small for my 11yr old but perfect for my 4yr old. HTH

    • Di

I ordered a large for my daughter, who was in kindergarten last year. My biggest reason I went with the large, not any of the smaller sizes was because I needed it to fit a lot. (school planner/homework, change of clothes, lunch box, tennis shoes/boots, snow pants, hat, mittens, snack for class, water bottle, anything else needed) some days it was almost empty other days it was full.

    Thank you

    Land’s End backpacks are great!

I’ve gotten a lot of mileage out of their backpacks purchased for my 3 kids over the years. They’re all in high school or college now, but I wanted to mention they are very durable and one backpack held up for 6 years.

  6. kristie

If you click on the bag it shows what it holds and a picture with model and height listed, I got small for my kids, ages 4,5 6,6,7 it’s 16.5 in tall and carries a small 3 ring binder and textbook great,

  7. Devin

I ordered mediums for my 8 and 6 year olds. Awesome deal!!!

  8. Sarah

I ordered my son one yesterday… I love these backpacks my daughter still has hers from last year, this is an awesome deal…

  9. Momofallgrls

I didn’t need one until next year but what a deal!! I decided to go ahead and order it and put it up. Thanks for posting Collin!!

  10. New momma

This may be a dumb question, but when you guys are monogramming what order of I initials are you doing? (First, middle, last? Or first, last, middle?)

    • Stormy

A monogram is – first, last name, then middle name. Not a dumb question, at all!!

    • Tracy

It depends on male or female. Female’s last name initial goes in the middle.

      • Michele

I wasn’t sure when I ordered one. Good thing my sons middle and last initial are the same😁

    • Lauren

It depends what type of monogram it is… if it’s the kind where the letter in the middle is bigger than the two on the sides then it should go first, last, middle… if all the letters are the same size then it should go first, middle, last. At least that’s what I’ve always been told.

    • Perla

When you monogram it it will ask for the first, middle and last initial and then it puts it in the order that the particular monogram style has.

  11. Diane

Love this deal, ordered a couple today! Got one for my 3 year old for K3 and got another for my 6 year old for 1st grade. Got them both a large (to fit everything from season changing items to school work and lunch)

    • Collin (Mrs. Hip)

      Awesome! πŸ™‚

  12. Tracy

Ordered one for my 3yo. Went through shopathome.com for 3% back.

    • Tracy

      I meant 4%.

  13. Tracy

    I meant 4%.

  14. Danielle

I’m half tempted to buy these since it’s such a great deal! But….my kids are only 3.5 and 1.5…

    • Jessica

I use a small one and leave it in the car for restaurants and outings with fresh toys to keep them entertained. Helps to have toys/books/crayons if needed.

      • S.

Me too! Got one for my 2 year old!

        • rachel

I’m buying one for my 2.5 year old. She has a land of nod backpack on the way for preschool…but this one will replace our traditional diaper bag. Hands free storage!

    • jill

We got a very similar deal around this time last year. I’m guessing their will be a similar deal this time next year. You *might* even be able to get it a little cheaper after September when they clearance them (Now if there is a pattern or color that you really love, maybe get it now. They change yearly. I’m glad to have ours from last year, not terribly fond of this years designs.)

    • Patrice

I ordered one for my 5 year old and I decided to go ahead and order one for 1.5 year old. I use a backpack as a diaper bag since it is more convenient and since these seem to be awesome, gonna order and replace the one we have.

  15. Delmom3

  20. Candace

Thank you so much for reposting this deal. I bought the Pottery Barn backpack when you posted that and I forgot to get a “backup” backpack for school. Thank you, thank you, thank you for reposting this, I totally forgot about it and school is right around the corner. I love Land’s End from backpacks to winter jackets, they are made well AND LAST. God bless you Collin.

    • Collin (Mrs. Hip)

      You’re Welcome! πŸ™‚

  23. Kate

Thanks for the reminder! I just bought a backpack and lunchbox for my youngest, going into kindergarten in a few weeks! (Eeek!) We have 2 Land’s End backpacks for my older kids (going into 3rd & 4th grades) that we have had for 4 years! They are still holding up great and WE LOVE THEM!! They are ClassMate StudyHaul bags, which are no longer made, but are comparable size-wise to the ClassMate Medium bags, which is what I ordered for my youngest. The perfect size to grow with!

  24. Crystal

I ordered two even though my kids are 3 years & a 3 month old. My 3yo lives to pack toys when we’re going out to visit friends & I figure they’ll work for packing for weekend trips, too. BTW, if you have a discover card & link through the discover deals site, you’ll get 10% cash back ;). Thanks for posting!

  25. Steph

I looked at the video that showed what would fit in the bookbag. I purchased a small for my 1st grader because tons of things would fit including a three ring binder. So glad I got this deal. Thanks!

  28. tls

Did anyone try to order lunch boxes with code to see if it works on them aswell?

    • Collin (Mrs. Hip)

It only works on the back packs πŸ™

  29. Lisa

  30. leah

Thanks so much for posting! Just ordered one for my daughter headed to pre-k in a couple weeks!

  31. Sara

I know this post is almost a month old, but I just wanted to say THANK YOU Collin! I ordered the “my first classmate” backpack in pink with polka dots and added the embroidery and her full name. It came late last week – and It is ADORABLE and such great quality! My 3 year old LOVES taking it to school now (it’s just her size and fits her blanket/sheet plus whatever else she brings home). She actually loves to put things in it while she’s playing around the house too! She was so excited to have her very own “big girl” backpack with her name on it!

I follow Hip2Save daily and have gotten so many great deals that I normally wouldn’t have found out about – presents, diapers, etc. So THANK YOU for all of your posts!

    • Collin (Mrs. Hip)

You are so welcome Sara! Glad to hear that! πŸ˜€
