My local staples add doesnt have the crayons on sale…is this a mis-print?

Kid at checkout at office max told me they don’t except coupons on sale items. I should have asked for manager 😒
I used coupons at Office Depot last week. It seems that they don’t have a good method to use coupons at the register. The manager has to come over and adjust the price of the items that the coupons are attached to.
Staples, in contrast, can just scan the coupon. Office Depot/Office Max it seems have no method of scanning it and it’s all manually done. Plus the regular cashier doesn’t seem to have permission to do what needs to be done manually.
No 50 cent crayons in the Sunday ad here (Seattle area) either. Happens a lot here, items not on sale that are on sale in other areas, and no coupons that are in other papers.
FYI the Fred Meyer ad for tomorrow in my area has 24 crayola crayons for 50 cents, but there is a limit of 4.

I normally get the 2-pk Scotch tape either at dollar tree or target at the front where they have dollar bins? Not sure how cheap is cheap for them tho.

I don’t think they do. I bought a scientific calculator and they would only give me 100% not the other 10%
