Thanks! I needed a new phone and needed to renew my prime membership! AT&T has a monthly plan for $30 a month unlimited talk and text that I plan on signing up for. This amazon fire phone can connect to wifi for internet so I won’t add the internet on my plan, trying to save as much on my monthly cell phone bill as I can!

T mobile is also compatible with the phone, I haven’t checked what they charge for talk and text but will look into tonight

There is a current issue going on with this phone and AT&T. I got this phone several weeks ago and was liking it, but i could not get the visual voicemail feature to work. This may not be a big deal for everyone, but i use my phone for work and i need an easy way to know when i have messages. I spent hours on the phone trying to fix it and finally they sent me a new phone. Well when i got the phone it still would not work. Now Amazon is saying that none of the fire phones are currently communicating with the AT&T servers which Is what is causing the problem. They have been working with AT&T, but there are no promises for when or even if it will be fixed. Major bummer for me since i used this feature on my previous phone every day.

Go into your settings and turn your data on. That should allow you to receive visual voicemail, or at least that’s how my iPhone is. Hope this helps.

I am so excited. We need to renew our Prime Membership, my husband could really use a new phone and it would be nice for our teenager to have something to contact us with. I just purchased this. Going to get my prime membership extended, upgrade my husbands account to a smartphone (and hopefully get plenti points for it) and add my son on with my husbands old phone all for only $26 more than just paying for our prime membership (this does not include our changes in monthly fees which is really unrelated to this comment). That’s not going to work out well for you, they’ve cancelled the phone and aren’t even making a second version. That’s how big of a flip this crap is.
Will this phone work with tracfone?
I have this phone. It’s great! Only problem is the limit of apps, so if you have an app you’d rather not do without, might want to check if amazon has it. It does not have snapshot of anything of the like, for example.
