Thank you! I printed them this morning and was able to score this deal. Also the All deal at Kmart. Will be heading back out tomorrow. 🙂

I did this deal this morning – due to Amanda’s target video. I’ve never tried them – but at 1/2 off, why not.

Are they ok for both dark and whites? TIA

Hi Collin! I love your site – thanks for posting such great deals 🙂 I wanted to let you know about a really bad experience I just had at Target and hopefully it’s poor/no training and not an actual new coupon policy coming down the pike – here’s the comment I sent to Target corporate: Hello – I wanted to contact someone about the confusing and disappointing experience I had at my local Target tonight. I am an avid couponer and am very aware of the coupon rules, and though I’ve ran into the occasional issue at Target, I’ve never experienced the problems I did this evening. I had approximately 15 coupons I was using, varying from an Allegra item 12 count or larger to a Swiffer refill item (exclusion listed as travel size). When I went through checkout, several of these went through fine – then a Tide Pods coupon that stated 31 count or larger [I attempted to purchase the 35 count] dinged, and the associate told me I couldn’t use the coupon, b/c the item was not as pictured on the coupon [The picture on the coupon was of the 31 ct container]. Honestly, I chalked it up to her inexperience and asked her to take it off my bill because I did not want to argue with her. Then, she told me I also couldn’t use my Swiffer coupons because they weren’t exactly as pictured. [This was a Swiffer coupon for any Swiffer refill, but again, because it wasn’t exactly the refill on the picture, she said she couldn’t take it.] At this point, there were people behind me, so I decided to just have her finish checking me out and I would resolve the issue at customer service. At customer service, I encountered the same problem, except this time, the employee told me that it was a new policy Target had instituted due to “coupon fraud” [The policy being that they only take coupons for the item pictured on the coupon]. Obviously, I hope you can understand how this is completely unacceptable. Most coupons are not just for the item pictured; they can be for that item or larger, an item of a different variety (e.g. Glade candles have multiple scents), etc. I’m always careful to only shop for what’s stated in the coupon text. And what’s honestly the most frustrating, is that of the coupons that were accepted, 90% of them were NOT exactly what was on the coupon! At any rate, I’m assuming the employees have not had proper training on coupons, and I encourage this to happen immediately. As this Target is the closest to my residence, I am going to continue shopping there, but I suppose I’ll just have to keep having the unfortunate extra trip to customer service. Since I’ll never know which items you will or will not accept coupons for, I’m going to start limiting the items I buy at Target as I know WalMart, CVS, and Walgreens, will always take coupons based on the coupon text, and not the coupon picture.

As an avid couponer, you should always have a printed copy of every store coupon policy with you. This will help you prove your case when situation like this arise. Target customer service so notice for not helping when you have coupon acceptance issues. They reply with “your store has the right to accept or deny any coupon, blah blah blah”. Customer service doesn’t care. Your best bet is to ask for the highest person in charge at Target and explain the situation. Don’t argue with front end people or customer service. Ask for the store manager or supervisor. Good luck.

I have not had any luck with target customer service but I did google the CEO one time and sent him an email and I’ll tell you what someone got back to me the next day apologizing and sent me a gift card 🙂

I’ve had that issue a few times. Like you, I would tell them to just void off the “offending” item. But then I was like I’m using the coupon correctly, next time it happens I’m going to speak up.
When it happened at WM, I stood my ground. I forgot exactly which coupon it was, but it said ANY and the cashier said I didn’t buy the one pictured. I said What? The coupon says Any, there is NO WAY the manuf coupon put every flavor or scent on the coupon. So she called another cashier who seemed miffed cashier 1 did’t even scan the coupon. I think the item was $1 and with the $1 coupon, it was “free”, and she didn’t like that.
When it happened at Target, I told the cashier the same thing and she was like “oh, I always thought you had to buy what’s pictured”!! I’m like No! If they put every flavor/scent on the coupon, where would the bar code to scan be? She laughed and said That’s true. She’s now my fave cashier to check out with!

In Cypress, CA the pods were only $8.99! 🙂 And some nice person left a dollar off coupon on the shelf and lucky me found it!
