I got this offer too! $25 bill credit when you buy your membership with your Amex… so its like getting a better than free membership with this deal!

      • Dikki

Amex offer terms for $25 back on new Sams Club membership:

“Enrollment is limited. Valid only on a new Sam’s Club Membership (Savings, Business or Plus) purchased in-Club at a Sam’s Club location. Not valid on memberships purchased online or by phone. Not valid on membership renewals, upgrades, add-ons or additional memberships. ”

We can’t get $25 back using amex if membership is purchased online.

Now the question is, can we get $20 sams gift card if we purchase membership from Sams club in person ?

        • graysw

according to the terms on that link, $20 e-gift card offer is only valid when you join or renew online by clicking the get offer link, so i guess not

    • Luv

This is only for new membership, not for renewal unfortunately

Can you use MFR coupons at Sam’s Club? What is everyone’s experience doing this?

    • Neha

      No you cannot

    • Kasi

      No you can’t

    • Julie

No. This is why I love BJ’s!! You can even use multiple coupons for one item. If there is a pack of two shampoos, for example, you can use two manufacturer coupons on that one item!! Plus the BJs coupons on top of it. 🙂

      • Happymama

        That’s awesome! Jealous here lol

    • Susie

No, but they offer “instant savings” on certain items which are basically digital coupons that come off your bill at the register.. My last purchase at Sam’s had a total of $52 in instant savings that came off my bill at the register. With the plus membership you get extra offers that I believe are based on what you buy ( because they follow my purchase history) such as fresh chicken, beef, produce, etc that are great.

Off topic. This is regarding the Bella rotation waffle maker deal sold by Macy’s last week. So I purchased one but picked up on Monday. I “tried using” it this morning unsuccessfully. The blue light for ready never came on even after being plugged in for 20 mins, I went ahead anyway to add batter closed the unit, rotate waited again watching it for blue light to illuminate, again it never came on and still 15 mins opened it and the batter separated and completely stuck to the pan even though I oiled it with pastry brush. This product is absolute junk! What a waste of money and time, the Macy’s store is about an hour away, now I have go all the way there to return this garbage. If anyone knows of a really good waffle maker that works and not ridiculously expensive please let me know. Sorry for the long post but just needed to vent.

    • Bunny

Call the manufacturer. Maybe they’d be willing to help you out (i.e. with free return shipping or exchange) since you just bought it!

      • Luv

Thanks ladies. I called the manufacturer, the representative just told me that there’s nothing they can do, she thinks the heating element is faulty, she told me to return it to Macy’s but if I don’t want to drive (almost an hour away) I should call Macy’s and see if they would be willing to pay for return shipping. I was just disappointed, since I’ve not done the rebate, I’ll just return and look out for sale on better brands. Open to any suggestions as well.

    • Lily

I purchased that waffle maker last year. The blue light usually takes a few minutes to turn on. When it does turn on, I put the batter in for approx 15-20 minutes and it comes out perfect. You may have a defective one. Like Bunny said, maybe call the manufacturer to see if you can get it returned or replaced?

    • Happymama

Yikes! Sorry to hear. I was on hold with Macy’s this morning for 30+ mins before someone picked up concerning the rebate item. She totally didn’t understand what I was telling her – if the slip from the in store pick up will work for the rebate. I had to repeat my question multiple times and she finally got it and the answer was “oh. yes.”. What a waste time…hello Macy’s get it together!

    • Collin (Mrs. Hip)

So sorry to hear that 🙁

    • eyez1998

Luv call Macys and tell them how far away you are and how it would be a terrible inconvenience for you to drive that far for a refund. I did that with Kmart a few weeks ago and they gave me a full refund over the phone and told me to keep the defective item. good luck

My Amex has an offer for 25 dollars back if you purchase a $45+ membership!

    • madcat2k1

In store only. This is ordering a membership via online. So it’s pick your poison.

Anyone know when Costco will do a deal like this?

    • Erica

I hope soon! I’ve been waiting for a Costco deal too!!

      • llc

        me too!

    • Jamie

Probably in the next month or two. I bought a living social deal last year around that time. I was able to use the voucher as a white elephant gift during my FH Xmas exchange. Everybody was fighting for it! 🙂

    • turquoice

Our Costco membership expired not too long ago. Hoping we get a deal like this, too.

  5. Lindsey

Just so everyone knows, our Sams club membership expires tomorrow. The primary member was my husband and I was the second card. I just signed up for a new membership, with me as the primary member and my husband as the second card. I got the membership for $45 and I just received the $20 egift via email.

    • Amber

Thank you so much for your post. I’ll have to try that, it’s really hard to swallow the renewal price with all the deals I see offered on memberships to new members.

      • Lindsey

I was apprehensive to write a post on here until I got the egift card in my email about 20 minutes after the confirmation of membership. Good luck! Hope it works for you, too.

  6. Amanda

I’m a former member, I let it run out over a year ago, could I be a new member since I’m no longer one?

    • Lily

Usually the rule of thumb is 6 months, I’m not sure about Sam’s but it doesn’t hurt trying again. =/

    • Toni

I believe it is if you haven’t had a membership within the past 6 months. So you would be considered a new member.

  7. Ashley

Thank you for posting this!! I got s membership. Wished the AMEX offer worked online too, how awesome would that be?

    • Collin (Mrs. Hip)

      You are so welcome Ashley!

  8. Leslie

I did this back on September 29th, but I still haven’t received the gift card or the free upgrade.

  9. RJ

Ah, thank you so much for this! They usually send me something in the mail 2 weeks before expiration date with a flyer for a $10 credit to renew, but I still hadn’t gotten one this time when it expired 10/02/15 so I thought I was going to have to pay the full price…glad I waited! –And this is why I don’t auto-renew.
