Thanks! How does this compare to Leapfrog? And what age is it best for?
I would like to know how it compares to leapfrog as well. I cracked the screen of my sons leap pad 2 and would like to replace it with something.
I haven’t had a Leapfrog for my kids but if your kid is under 5, i’d say htis is just as good. from the research i did, i think the leapfrog has more available for apps and add-ons to maybe make it interesting longer but realistically, this is such a greatprice compared to leapfrog that I think the innotab deal is totally worth it. my kids love theirs 3 yr old and a 6yr old. some games entertain both of them, some require more understanding so the 3yr old isn’t there yet. its been a great investment for long car rides!
Looks like a lot of seller prices are in the $20-30 range…is this not that hot? Never looked at these before?
I got one of the leapfrog explorer gs from best buy back when they had them for $10. Are these better than those?
I just ordered one for my almost 3 year old! My 4 year old has a nabi Jr. And this one seems a little more her speed. Some of the nabi games are too hard for my 2 year old. Can’t really beat the price!
I have been looking at the Innotab and the Leap Pad for my 3 year old. I would love to know what others think as far as which one is better. I just want it for the educational games as we already have an Ipad mini for the other stuff. TIA
we love the innotab we got for my then 3 yr old. she was able to do a lot of things on it right away and now that she’s 6.5, she’s still very interested in it…but we only let her use it on long car rides so that may be part of the intrigue. she’s learned a lot from the games that are preloaded. we haven’t downloaded anything and just recently bought a second one for our son, from someone who also included a bunch of interchangeable games. so far, its been a great investment…and I dont’ have to worry about them messing up anything valuable. this is a great price!
I ordered one for my daughter, who is 5! I hope it’s good and this would make a perfect Christmas gift!
I have the innotab 3 in the baby version which is the same just incased in an extra protection case, I have been very happy with it and recommend it although my daughter just turned 2 and she is a little young for it. She pushes the power button all the time and then becomes upset. I think it is very comparable to the leappad.
If you click on the Amazon link there is an extensive review regarding the comparison of the leapfrog & this product. Also, which age groups, etc. I definitely found that helpful.
Great tip Tracy! Thanks for sharing 😉
Did you decide to get one after the review?
My 4 year old has an Innotab and Amazon tablet. He really likes both. I like that the games are what they are and I don’t have to screen them like I do the apps. I bought mine from a friend and was able to purchase games at Target super cheap and when our Toys R Us closed their doors.
now 25$ but still bought it lol
Thanks for the heads up.
Yup, the price went up but I also still bought it for my son. Hopefully now he will want to play with this instead of mommy and daddy’s iPhones!
😉
Still holding out for another leap pad deal, we lost ours. Also bummed that I missed out on the kidcraft kitchen deal, ugh. If I don’t stayed glued to the computer I miss the best things, lol!
Omg! I just found about this I been at it since 3am lol
staples had amazing deal on leap pads a month agao.
Went up to 39$
Darn 🙁
We bought this when my son was 3. He’s been playing it since and he’s 5 now. We just lost it a couple months ago and upgraded to the innotab max which is sooooo much better! Better resolution and bigger screen but had to call customer service to get the games downloaded online to the software because physical cartridges didn’t work on the max. It’s so much fun!
I emailed them because I signed up for a prime membership for this buy the time it went threw the price jumped they are honoring the price so I keep the membership 🙂
I am debating this, ordered earlier with delaying shipping, having second thoughts. Anyone have one and recommend this tablet?
