does anyone have any advice on buying pants for my little guy. I bought him cargo pants from old navy, the carter’s outfits that come with the stetch “jeans” and carter’s sweatpants and everything is to large in the waist. His 2t pants from last year fit perfect in the waist but are way too short. He has been going to preschool in the same pair of pants (luckly he goes every other day)
Not sure this will help right now Ashley but my daughter has the same problem. I buy her the crazy 8 or gap slim jeans. I think they start at a size 4 though. So in the future this may work for you. I’m lucky cuz I just put tall boots on my girl and it hides the floods. Maybe you could find some boots for boys that would hide the flood pants? :0)

I have the same issue. I like the pants that have the “inside” belts in them like childrens place which helps you with buying larger sizes and able to cinch the waist in.
My son is tall and skinny for his age. I love the rocker jean on him because they fit so well in the waist and through the leg and are not baggy or short. Some might view these as more on the skinny side, but because my son is so thin they fit him just like a boot cut jean.
The Children’s Place sells slim pants online . My son is 8 and wearing a size 12 slim. My daughter is 10 and in their size 16 slim.
Try dapper snapper. It is like a belt but only in the back of the pant. Amazon sells them.
We LOVE Crazy 8 jeans for my son because they aren’t snap or button closure. They have a slide hook closure like a men’s dress pant. Since my son is only 6 but very tall for his age these slide closures are much easier for his hands! We stocked up on them last spring and it’s all he wears now!
