Kashi Class Action

Did you purchase Kashi All Natural Products (full list found here on the right hand side under exhibit H) between May 3rd, 2008, and September 4th, 2015? If so, and you do not have receipts, you may qualify for up to a $27.50 check via the Kashi Class Action Settlement. If you have proof of your purchases, there is no limit to your settlement reward. Please note – to qualify for monetary compensation, you must NOT be a California resident and must have purchased for personal or household use.

To submit your claim, head here and complete the form no later than January 19th, 2016. You can also print the claim form here and mail it to Digital Settlement Group, LLC, P.O. Box 1571, West Palm Beach, FL 33402.

Are you wondering what this lawsuit is about? A proposed settlement has been reached in a class action lawsuit which claimed that the marketing of certain Kashi products as “All Natural” or “100% Natural” or “Nothing Artificial” was not true. Kashi stands by its marketing and denies that it did any thing wrong. If you are a member of the Class in this lawsuit, you may make a claim by mailing or electronically submitting a Claim Form.

And, just a reminder that you have until November 20th, to submit your claim for the StarKist Tuna Class Action Settlement. For more information, head here

There is one of these for Starkist tuna too for $25

    • Kayla

Thanks for the tip! I didn’t realize they had a lawsuit as well. I opted in for the $25 check as I only buy the tuna in water and I’d imagine those vouchers would be for some other specific products too.

  2. Sarah

Anyone else having trouble seeing the product list?

    • Rachel

      Same here.

    • Jeanna

If you go to the online submission form there is a link called “Exhibit H” that will provide a pdf of all the products included. It is quite an extensive list. I think most of their products are included.

      • Rachel

        Thank you!

    • Shirley

Never mind. it is not working either. Go to claim form and click Exhibit H.

  3. melloddie

Too bad their max is 50. I eat these all the time, its def more like the hundreds I had since ’08 and who ever keeps receipts that long lol. Good thing I actually enjoy the ones I eat

    • Michelle Barden

LOL I know! I wish I kept all my receipts because I buy Kashi pretty frequently. Ah well.

    • Carla

Us too! We buy around 50 each year conservatively estimating 4 boxes a month. Can I have my husband fill one out too? Technically he’s bought at least 50 on his own when he stops at the store because we ran out. It’s his breakfast of choice.

    • Hello

I know. I have at least 20 in my pantry right now.

      • Hello

        Oh sorry. I meant starkist.

  4. Cassie

Wow! I so wish I had kept all my receipts!!

  5. Violet

Looks like CA is excluded. Anyone know if there’s a separate form for CA?

  6. Emily

Anyone receive their check from tuna or coupons? When redbull did theirs I never got my redbull

    • Hunterwoody

I never received Truvia or red bull

      • Nicole

Me either but I got the kettle chips settlement check last week.

      • Jessica

I did receive my Truvia one…long time ago.

    • ER

It takes months after the settlement b4 anyone gets reimbursed.

    • KW

      I never received mine either.

    • Amy

I received the truvia a few months back, but nothing from RedBull.

    • K

Class action lawsuits take month and months, sometimes up to a year. Once the settlement is approved, they have a claim cut off date, and then of course there’s appeals. Then they have a certain amount of time after all that to pay out. Each lawsuit gives these dates on their specific website. That would give you a better idea of when you might receive your payout. Also keep in mind that the company might win an appeal and they might not be forced to pay out at all.

      • K

According to the Redbull class action site, the final appeal was dismissed on sept 30, 2015. They have 150 days after that to pay.

    • Cayla

I received my Red Bull quite a while ago.

      • Andrea

Did u get a check or product? Also how much?

  7. Patty

I think California had already filed a separate suit and it has since expired. You may have missed it so it seems.

    • Jen

Of course now I live in CA but I didn’t when I bought these. Boo!

    • Hello

Too bad. I have several boxes sitting in my pantry.

  8. Nina

  9. Maggie

So happy I bought 30 boxes over a year from Amazon years ago since I actually can print those receipts! Thanks for sharing this!

    • Collin (Mrs. Hip)

      You’re welcome!

  10. Liz

Did you catch the Tuna one? It’s $25 or $50 in Tuna. We went for $50 in tuna!

  11. Linda

Wow I buy kashi every week. Thank goodness I keep the receipts.

  12. Becky

How do you upload the receipts pictures if you have more than three images?

    • michelle

I was thinking the same thing. I ordered a bunch of cookies from amazon at different times. I printed out the invoice and printed the file claim, and I will mail mine.

  13. stephanie

Thank you. We buy these every week and don’t keep receipts.

  14. Becky

Did anyone get this error message. . .
    “The following errors have occurred:
Please enter the name of the store where the purchased was made.
    Please upload a receipt.”
. . . after entering the store name and uploading an image of the receipt?

    • Jennifer N

I am. I have tried on my phone and also a computer. Still no luck.

  15. B

I submitted my information. We love Kashi and buy it often but never thought to keep the receipts for that long!

  16. Debbie

Thanks for the info Colin 😀

    • Collin (Mrs. Hip)

      You are so welcome Debbie!

  17. Pdxsong

I buy kashi & I love their products. I don’t want to punish them by having them pay me when I don’t feel they did anything wrong.

    • Kim

More than half of their hundred list long of ingredients per package are not natural. I do think they did something wrong and that is why I stopped eating them once I learned to read labels. I am glad I can get my money back. I hope other lawsuits popup too for other companies it’s disgusting what that are getting away with.

    • lbruc28msncom

I agree with you! This will just make them even more expensive and many of these people will keep eating them anyway.

    • Hello

It is wrong to mislead customers.

  18. Suzanne H

I buy Kashi all the time. This is good info to have and I’m glad I’ll get some money back although it’s too bad I don’t have all of my receipts.

  19. Lani

I’ve never submitted one of these before and would like some advice. I have a few of my receipts but it only adds up to about 5 boxes. I have bought many more boxes that I don’t have the receipts for. Would it be better to submit my receipts or submit my claim w/ no receipts? I don’t really understand how they figure your reimbursement. Thanks!

    • sam

I have the same question. How much do they reimburse you per box? The price you paid? I don’t suppose it’s 27.50 per box is it? 😮 I called the help number but it was all automated, could not get in touch with a person. I have 16 boxes worth of receipts. I could probably scrounge up a few more if I tried. Wondering if it’s worth the effort.

    • Anna

It says reimbursement so if you have receipts over $27.50 it’s worth it to go that way otherwise that’s the max you’ll be eligible for based on the number of products (unfortunately they don’t specify the reimbursement rate for those without receipts that I saw)

  20. Anna

I wish I saved receipts for 7 years. I don’t know the best way to figure out how many packages we buy of these. It’s a lot (the only granola bars my husband and I both like). We also eat a lot of the cereal. Hm. I dug around for receipts but I usually throw them after you can no longer return things.

  21. Karen

At Fred Meyers yesterday the regular price of my fave Kashi cereal went from $3.29 a box to $4.19 in one week’s time. Wonder if it is to help them pay for this mess. :-/

  22. Michelle

    I wonder why I can’t be a California resident! That’s ridiculous!

    • maggie

Because there was a separate California-only suit brought by California lawyers that resolved the claims of California residents. You missed the deadline for it, I think. Once it’s resolved, you’ve lost the right to be part of a different suit if you didn’t exclude yourself.

  23. karenorso

When will they mail out the checks ?

  24. Alyssa

Just got a $44 check! Thank you!!!!

  25. Krista

Thank you! Thank you! Thank you Hip2Save! I absolutely LOVED Kashi’s Mayan Harvest Bake. I really liked the convenience of having a healthy (mostly natural) meal. The lack of preservatives was a real draw for me and it was super yummy! When I saw this post last year I rifled through about 4 years worth of receipts. I found 95 eligible Kashi items! I filled out the paperwork, organized my receipts and mailed it off. I was thrilled when I received a check in the mail today. Before opening it I thought to myself “I’d be really happy if it said $100.” I was thrilled when I saw it said $342.98! 10 hours later and I’m still on a high. Thank you so much for sharing such valuable information 🙂

    • teacherthatcoupons

Wow! That is awesome. How wonderful that you had all of the receipts.

  26. Magan Farmer

I just received a $17.68 check! Thanks Collin!

  28. Barb

I just received a check for $44.08 today! Thanks Collin 🙂

    • Collin (Mrs. Hip)

Oh awesome! You are so welcome!

  29. Suzanne

I just received a check for 44.08 and didn’t submit any receipts.

  30. Jim Davis

Any Idea why I got only 98 CENTS ? Two claims , same household, no receipts.
