What are people’s opinions on plenti?
I haven’t been in a Rite Aid in months. I personally don’t care for the Plenti program.
Its AWESOME!!!! Its so much better then the +UPs program!! That’s saying a lot from me as I was totally disappointed when they ended it. Now I am so glad they did as this program is 110% better!!! I could go on and on about how awesome it is, but I will just share one example; In the old days if I was buying something for 9.99 and I had a 10.00 UP, I would have to throw some little candy in with my order to put the total over 10.00 to use my UP or if my total was 5.59, I would use 5.00 in UPs and the other 59 cents in real money. NO more!!!! You can use your points in any amount you want. There have been SO many money makers at Rite Aid in the last few months that I haven’t spent any real money for months and months and months!!! Wonderful, wonderful program!!!
While the sales have been somewhat lackluster since going to Plenti, I will say its an awesome program overall. I’ve been filling my car at exxon, so the points earned there I can use at rite aid. You can roll points too which is a big plus over walgreens! And like Heidi stated, you can use points in any amount ( as long as you have 200 banked and your total is $2 or more) Only downside is still having to wait until 6am the following day to use those earned points. I very rarely have to pull out cash or my debit card for purchases now, since I usually use points for a $0 oop.
I have not fully signed up yet, I am waiting until rite aid changes the policy on the plenty program sharing your information. You can opt out but not on all sections and I especially do not like that in the pamphlet it says they may share your information overseas. Plus I know some customers that have fully signed up and are receiving al sorts of telemarketing calls on their phones.
So don’t use your personal information! I don’t! I used a fake name, fake phone number, fake address and fake e-mail. Its true that I don’t get the e-mail coupons/deals that other people do, but I am fine with that. I just make sure that I wrote down all of my fake info in case I needed it for some reason.
I like the Plenti program. I like that the points don’t expire in 2 weeks and I can earn them elsewhere and spend them at Rite Aid. I had $50 worth at one point that I earned from AT&T. I used to earn them every month on my AT&T bill but they either stopped doing that or something I changed on my account recently disqualified me.
I was mistaken, i DID get my AT&T points this month. Must just have taken awhile for them to show up. 🙂
I started shopping with Plenti Points (PP) as soon as it came out and agree with Heidi, its all that +ups were and then some! The sales have been very similar to +ups sales, last week I got Schick Quattro 4pk of disp. razors for less than $1 each, Pantene mousse for $1 each, Playtex tampons 16ct for $1, so awesome deals are there to be bought for sure -with Collin’s great match-ups of course!
Advantages over +ups: your points don’t expire for 2 years!!! And as Heidi said, you can use them in ANY increment $2 or more (1PP = 1¢). So like last week i bought some Wet n Wild for $3.27 for $0 oop because I simply used plenti points to pay for the whole transaction. And unlike with +ups, when your transaction total is zero with PP, they don’t have to get a manager to come approve the transaction, it goes right through – no questions. Also, If you go online you can also sign up for extra PP at participating retails and activate grocery deals as well through their Saving Star connection. They have most of the same deals you’ll find on your SS app, and you CANNOT, duplicate them, but if you prefer to activate them through Plenti then you get your points right away instead of having to reach a $20 min to cash it in. And you can use your points at other places too, I have not tried this yet, as i use all my points at RA, but it gives you great flexibility. Lastly, I used to have my +ups printed so I didn’t have trouble with coupons (when I had them electronically put on my card the register would apply my +ups first and then the balance would be too low to use my coupons) so I had to keep up with my printed +ups – no more! When you check out you give your coupons, and then get your total, and then you decide at that time if you want to apply PP, and if so you get to decide to the penny, how much to apply! PP can also be used to pay sales tax. Rain checks with PP work the same way as +ups, they will deduct the monetary value from the price of the product at the time of purchase to compensate you for any PP on the deal. (i.e… price is $4.50 and you get 100PP when you buy 1 – so on a rain check you would just pay $3.50 oop.)

I have AT&T and I’m able to earn Plenti points paying my bill ever month… Love that! I can then use the points at other locations ( Rite aid, being one such place ).
How did you link your AT&T account?? Is it just for your monthly charges??
I wasn’t on board at first. But since using it a few weeks ago, I love it. My ups would always expire and I hated to spend a certain amount. I linked my AT&T account and that’s how I started rolling the rewards. It adds up fast having 4 lines on an old plan. I got the crest and oral b products last week or the week before and got two boxes of playtex tampons for $1.61 after tax this week. Count me in now!! And they don’t expire for two years and you can use them elsewhere (although I have not yet)!

If the system is disconnected (from store level to corp), then it won’t show on your receipt, but there is a recap towards the middle or bottom of your receipt, just like the Ups were recapped, that will show points were earned.
The only points that don’t show up immediately, are the special offers that you add yourself from plenti.com. I had one for 100 points for buying 4 rite aid brand snacks, and those points were credited to my acct a few days later.

I’d try RA customer service. If they can’t help, then Plenti CS.
Today at Rite Aid I was unable to change the amount of Plenti points that I wanted to redeem at the register. The cashier and manager said it changed this morning and they were given no notice. I had to use all of my points today! I hope this was just a glitch.

Just a heads up, my RP did not have the 30¢/1 Haribo coupon, so I’m assuming its regional. Did anyone else in the Pittsburgh region get it?
Also, at my RA the Nivea Shave creme was priced a little higher $3.29 (the gel was $3.99)
